I fought my accent for so long. Like, I gotta sound more American. I was a little bit shy about my accent, until I let it go. My dialect coach told me, ājust own your accent, as long as youāre clear and understood, own it.ā And since Iāve started to own it, I feel free.
Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch ā Captain America: Civil War
The first realistic portrait Iāve finished. Iām quite proud of it, turned out better than expected.
Tbh after being out as trans for long enough you kind of realize that the amount of times people gender you correctly is directly related to how much respect they have for you. Yes obviously people will mess up in the beginning but the people who have the most respect for me and who I have chosen to keep in my life are all only people who gender me correctly p much 100% of the time. If you have parents or people in your life who after months or years still refuse/āforgetā to use ur pronouns/name it honestly means they do not have respect for who you are or your identity and itās really important to realize that if you want your relationships to be healthy and productive and validating. People can claim they are good allies and respectful but their actions speak louder than words. Donāt waste your time on people who refuse to see you for who you are.
achillean aesthetics
dew drop boys: perpetually sleepy, lots of oversized sweaters, sweet drinks and wearing socks to bed
golden hour boys: messy hair, contagious smiles, faded jeans, riding a bike through the park with their bf and getting excited over every dog they see
cryptid boys: staying up at obscure hours, permanent eye bags, binge watching creepy shows, always anxious but a huge romantic
beach side boys: melted ice cream cones, an energy that sparkles like ocean waves, the sound of gulls in the distance and warm summer sand
flower garden boys: always quiet but constantly thinking, messy notes and sketches in pocket sized journals, being barefoot outside and puffy clouds
hazy boys: constantly daydreaming, a quiet somber energy, poetry, a love for fantasy and minimalism
bakery boys: upbeat energy even in difficult times, a love for sweets, the happy chirps of cats, pink clothes and being a friend to everyone they meet
ftm culture is screaming your lungs out in the middle of a forest before an important event so it fucks up your voice and makes it sound deeper.

i have to go to two family gatherings tomorrow because it's christmas eve.
i'm already miserable. i can't wait to be misgendered and treated like a fucking nuisance. i hate the holidays.
my anxiety is through the roof. i wish i could just not go. but my family will force me to go.
āThere are studies that show that fiction in particular builds empathyāthat when you read about characters who donāt look or live like you, you begin to understand them a little bit better. You understand what makes you similar and how vast the differences are, and it helps you to be a little bit more compassionate toward people who are different from you. Right now it seems likeānot just in America, but around the worldāwe need a little more empathy.ā
