First rejection of the year! Door for tax. I don’t feel any particular way about it, save that it reminds me, whoops, this is a numbers game and I really need to submit my book proposal to other agents at least twice weekly. -At least one rejection. I record them, but I don't dwell on them. -This morning I wrote a villanelle. It's been almost 20 years since I've written a villanelle. It was a delightful challenge. -Am percolating a novel. I invest so much time into fan fiction that this time I'm thinking along the lines of, "Ah, fuck it. Better to change a few things and publish this rather than fritter it away on AO3." Not that I don't love AO3.
