Life in a Day - Sound Design Recreation

I created a sound bank of around 100 sounds and synced several of these sounds to a minute long section of Life in a Day.

I developed a theme for my sounds which would suit the film.

Edited the video to a suitable length. 

Recorded the sounds on location and in the studio (Foley, sound effects and ambience)

Created various sounds using synthesisers in Reason and Pro Tools

Built on and rendered all the sounds to be bigger and stronger.

Synced the sounds to the video.

All original sound effects and composition of the music by myself. 

I created the sound effects using recorded audio and synthesisers.

Audio Logos for Sonic Lodge

These audio logos were created during my internship with Sonic Lodge (although they are not officially associated with Sonic Lodge).

I recorded the voice-over, performed by Jack Hinks.

I recorded the live fiddle music in the first variation at The Scots Fiddle Festival 2014 (http://www.scotsfiddlefestival.com/).

I recorded the drums at Sonic Lodge, performed by Phil Mcbride. 

I synthesised the music in the second variation.

The Reverie Band - Live at The Scots Fiddle Festival 2014 (Multi-track Recording)

A recording I made through the Allen and Heath QU-24 mixing desk at The Scots Fiddle Festival 2014. This recording was made during my internship with Sonic Lodge to advertise their high quality engineering and PA hire service.

I set up the microphones on stage for the musicians.

I liaised with the other engineers to get a monitor mix for the musicians on stage.

The Reverie Band - Live at The Scots Fiddle Festival 2014 (Room Recording)

A recording of the room I made using my Zoom H4 portable recorder at The Scots Fiddle Festival 2014. This recording was made during my internship with Sonic Lodge to advertise their high quality engineering and PA hire service.

I set up the microphones on stage for the musicians.

I liaised with the other engineers to get a front of house and monitor mix for the musicians on stage.

The Cosmonauts - If You Wanna Leave

I worked for Feast Records to produce a single for The Cosmonauts, released by Wolfpack Records in 2013.

I was responsible for working with the band in order to develop the track.

Recorded the song over a couple sessions using the SSL AWS900+ mixing desk and various other equipment with the assistance of other students.

I mixed and mastered the tracks in the SSL studio and also with my own set up at home.

Hotel India - Now You Feel 

I worked for Feast Records at Edinburgh College to produce a single for Hotel India.

I was responsible for working with the band in order to develop the track.

Recorded the song over a couple sessions using the SSL AWS900+ mixing desk and various other equipment with the assistance of other students.

The Industry - Gears (Acoustic) - Online Promo

I recorded the songs acoustically in the drummers living room with my mobile Pro Tools rig.

We used his living room as it is a big wooden room which would add fullness and character while complimenting the acoustic sound.
