Working: University Research
Although most people may think that having studied law the main windows is becoming a lawyer, what I am interested in is University Research and becoming a professor.
I worked for three months while I was doing my degree in a big law firm in Barcelona, learning how to procedur in an insolvency ruling and taking part in some judgements in the Catalan court. Furthermore, after my degree, I have worked in another law firm, not such as big as the first one, but I did learn a lot because we were few lawyers in the firm and we had to deal with some different cases.
But what I really like is being involved in the University world. I did some interesting university projects, as you may see right now.
In 2011, participated in the International Conference "Circulation Internationale de lâinformation: vers une intĂ©gration du droit Ă la vie privĂ©e et des technologies de sĂ©curitĂ©", in the University of MontrĂ©al (Canada). I did the international inform for the Centre de Recherche en Droit Public of the Law Faculty of the University of MontrĂ©al.
Furthermore, in november 2013, I took part in the First Iberian Robotics Conference, celebrated in Madrid. I prepared a poster titled "Robots: security, damages and liability".
Since I was in the latest courses of my degree, I began a member of the new technologies and law research group of the University of Barcelona. We are envolved in so many projectes, most of them in the fields of how the new technologies deals with legal aspects, and above everything, on how we protect the weakest part of the contractual relationship.
My latest project was the presentation of a final writing of the Masters in private law, titled "La rescisiĂłn por lesiĂłn a la luz del nuevo derecho contractual europeo": what I did study was the new contractual instruments as gross disparity or unfair exploitation, that even they constitue soft law, they are being used by the Supreme Court in Spain in its latests resolutions. This new figures may avoid a contract when it has been celebrated obtaining -one of the parts- an excessive avantage, due to the circumstances of dependency or weekness of the other part.
