RopeSpace jute rope is crafted specifically for bondage and handmade by master rope-maker Bodhi. These are some images from the first part of the rope-making process.

Strands of high-quality, textile jute yarn are laid up in the rope walk, stretched to ensure even balance of weight-distribution for a stronger, more-even rope, and then twisted into strands. These strands are individually treated to remove excess fuzz and then set under even tension before being combined into rope.

Although you could just burn the hairs off after the rope-making process is completed, we go a step further. If the strands of the rope remain fuzzy, the rope will shed while being used and the overall construction will be weaker. Using the RopeSpace process, the impurities are removed form the strands before they are laid into rope, increasing the strength and overall stability. Plus, there's less jute lint all over you and your rope bottom!

Our rope-making process doesn't end here, though. We'll post images of other steps in the process later, or you can read about the full process on the site.

Hojo rope is best suited for sadistic Hojojutsu, hair ties, CBT, binding fingers and toes, and the like. It can be compared to the rope others are selling as 4mm, although the actual diameter when measured with calipers is closer to 3mm. (Measuring rope diameter is somewhat subjective.) Ropespace jute is denser and has more body (more fiber per millimeter) due to compression added during the twisting process.
