The really important thing to note here is that these photos have all been āBrandon Approvedā Flashpointgrafix: āAfter @thekillers performed at the @alt987fm Lounge, I met up with frontman Brandon Flowers to help him comb through about 280 raw, unedited shots. So embarrassing. He whittled them down to 52⦠then trimmed it to a set of 40 final images. I would be lying to say that I would be happy if he only had liked one. Iām so glad I didnāt eff it up.ā

what happened? r u disappointed? :(
Iām underwhelmed. I listened to it once through and none of the songs made me want to listen to them again so I havenāt. Iām queen of saying I donāt like a record then winding up liking it though but as of right this second Iām largely unenthused.
I really sympathise with this
the first time i heard sams town i hated it, i didnāt listen to it for months because i thought it was naff because those songs take a couple gos to really get to a person i feel
Ā its been the same with these singles, first time i heard wonderful wonderful i was likeĀ ā??ā now itās one of my favourites, there are some heavy lyrics and cool motives in the background that could do with stewing
besides what weāve heard only tyson v douglass and the calling gripped me right away but as iāve been listening, rut and life to come have been getting steadily better
i think have all the songs been written is boring tho lol, we can blame that one on bono
I really donāt like have all the songs been written either. Or rut really. Or life to come. Tyson v Douglas and Out Of My Mind I liked but they didnāt really grip me. The Calling is the best song on the record imo. Idk I might be talking out of my ass because Iāve listened to the album once lmao but it seems clumsy and haphazard and repetitive in places. I often have to listen to an album a few times to get a good idea of it and to vibe with it but Iāve never had to do that with TK before so Iām sad.
yeah i get what you mean i donāt think itās repetitive i actually think itās on the opposite end of the spectrum where some songs sound completely different to the rest of the album giving it a sort of disjointed feel, like The Man and Run For Cover donāt sound like they belong on the record, then it splits into either earthy kinda songs or slow ones
oh yeah for sure like on a song-to-song basis it isnāt repetitive at all itās all over the shop but i mean like within songs you have a lot of repetition of these lines that arenāt even strong and itās just like ? wha
oh yeah i agree with you there, like i love wonderful wonderful but the verses are wank, you can tell brandon was struggling with his writer's block bless him
⦠ W O N D E R F U L Ā Ā W O N D E R F U L ā¦
