Five Ways You Can Participate in Rogue/Gambit Week 2026

With less than three weeks until the start of Rogue/Gambit Week 2026, we hope you’re having a lot of fun creating your Romy Week fanworks. In case you want to participate, but have no idea what to do, here are a few suggestions

1 - Create However you express your creativity, use that to create something Romy related. Choose your favorite creative verb (write, draw, sing, sew, bake, knit, etc) and do that. There’s no limit on what you can do. Have fun. We can’t wait to see what you create.

2 - Make a list While it is always appropriate to share a list, this year it even fits the prompts. (“I have a list”). Your list could be on top five kisses, favorite animated moments, must read Romy moments in comics, favorite fanfics, songs with a Romy vibe, etc. You can even mix and match prompts—such as create a list of top honeymoon (or, second honeymoon) locations (when’s the honeymoon?). The possibilities are endless.

3 - Spread the word Sharing, Liking, and reflagging are great ways to share the Rogue/Gambit week. Help spread the word far and wide. The more people who know about it, the more opportunities people have to participate, and the more Romy goodness available for all of us to enjoy.

4 - Comment/Review As the fanworks start coming in, leave a comment letting the creator know how much you appreciate their hard work. Creators love receiving comments. It encourages them to keep creating.

5 - Tell a friend Do you have friends who are Romy fans, but not on Tumblr? Let them know about Rogue/Gambit week. Point them towards the prompts. If they make something and don’t have Tumblr, offer to blog it for them (get their permission first!). Or, they can let us know here at R/G week, we can share their fanworks from our blog.

It’s been a long time in coming, but the wait is finally over. Here’s what y’all have been waiting for—Rogue/Gambit Week 2026. We’re looking forward to a great week celebrating our favorite Southern couple. Here’s the information you’ll need to participate. First, Rogue/Gambit Week 2026 will be held June 14-20, 2026.

We’ve decided to do something a little different this year. This is our seventh year, and it seemed like a good time for a bit of a shake up. Our prompts are quotes taken from across the comics and animated series. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Without further ado, here are our prompts:

Prompts: Day 1 - Sunday, June 14 - “I have a list,”

Day 2 - Monday, June 15 - “When’s the honeymoon, Ms. LeBeau?”

Day 3 - Tuesday, June 16 - “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. By your side.”

Day 4 - Wednesday, June 17 - “I can’t feel you.”

Day 5 - Thursday, June 18 - “You and I, we could write a book about it. Been down the same roads.”

Day 6 - Friday, June 19 - “Never use last with us.”

Day 7 - Saturday, June 20 - Free Day

Rules: 🩷 This is a celebration of all things Romy! Your fanworks may cover any point of their relationship—from their early flirtations to their life together as an old married couple, from friendship to lovers. 🩵 Rogue and Gambit do not need to be in a romantic relationship (friendship is great too!), but their relationship should be the primary focus. 🩷 Feel free to draw inspiration from any medium which they appeared (the comics (any corner of the Multiverse), the animated series (XtAS, WatX, Evo), the movies, etc.) 🩵 Please tag your posts #rogue/gambitweek2026 or #rogue/remyweek2026 within the first five(5) tags so they can be easily found and re-blogged on the Rogue/Gambit Week blog. You may also tag our posts @roguegambitweek . (This often makes finding posts easier). 🩷 Fanworks are not limited to fanfic, fanart, and fanedits. However you create, that is also a part of what makes a fanworks week successful. Yes, fic, art, and edits are the most common, but I’ve seen amazing fanworks accomplished in other ways. In our fist year a short video was shared concerning what Gambit keeps in his pockets. In another fandom, I’ve seen someone share why a particular musical score reminded them of the couple. I’ve seen people make text conversations between characters focused around that day’s prompt. Handcrafts, music, photography, cosplay, and countless other creative ventures can also be part of a fanworks week. Have fun creating. Please feel free to share your talents and Romy-love with us. 🩵 The fanworks you share should be created by you. 🩷 No AI please. 🩵 Any NSFW content must be placed under a ‘read more’ break, otherwise it will not be re-blogged. 🩷 You don’t need to post something for every day/every prompt. Feel free to participate in as many days as you you feel inspired. If you have created something, but are unable to post it on the assigned day, please post it when you can. It will still be re-blogged. 🩵 You may combine days (as in cover two or more prompts with the same entry).

🩷 Alternate Prompts may be posted any day throughout the week. 🩵 Have fun. Try something new. Create something new for an old favorite. Remember, the goal here is to share the Romy love and create more Romy content for all of us to enjoy.

Finally, a couple of this year specific notes: 🩷 All the quotes have been pulled from various Romy appearances. No matter where the quote appeared, feel free to apply them to any version of Romy you wish to use in your fanworks. (For instance you can apply a Evo quote to comic characters, or XtAS quote to movie characters, etc…) 🩵 You may use the quote directly in your fan works, or you could be inspired by the vibe of the quote to inspire your piece. 🩷 You may change verb tenses or the speaker. You may also change the quote from first person to third person.
