glad i went to school today

i mean it seems pretty damn likely we’ll get married someday. its kind of scary to think about that, to picture our relationship progressing in that direction, but i think i’m okay with it as long as it doesn’t happen now. not now. for now i like us like this, talking and looking forward to breathing your familiar smell and holding your hand while you fall asleep. my violet, my boy, my place to come back to.

i want a blanket big enough to fit all my friends underneath

i told her, half-awake, that i was cold and she scooped me up without a word. the smell of her sweat and nicotine is still on my clothes and i haven’t bothered throwing them in the laundry yet

turning on music feels like taking a drink of ice-cold water at 3am
