Look out for the 🗺️ emoji in place of the word map in the tags

Also look out for: “irl loli” “irl kiddo” and to a lesser extent (because these are used by adults too) “perv bait” and “groom me” type tags. The “older man x young girl” genre of posts also tends to have a lot of that floating around.

For some reason I also noticed people using the 🍈 and 🍕 emojis? Not sure what that’s about and I’m afraid to look it up 👍

The other thing is a lot of adults who are interacting with these kinds of blogs have caught on to the fact we can report them if they actually reblog, so a lot of them have these things hidden in their likes. Yet another reason why blank blogs are a red flag.

Source: a blank blog interacting with minors in their likes followed me a couple months ago and I went down a really awful blocking rabbit hole and saw explicit CSAM with my own two eyes because of it. (Link is safe though, nothing graphic!)

How to avoid these blogs and those interacting with them:

It’s the same trick as with terfs and radfems. (You do have the “terfsafe” and “radfem safe” and “terfs please interact” and “radical feminism” tags blacklisted, right? RIGHT?)

Go to settings -> general settings -> filtering, and add tags to your blacklist. Then, when one of these blacklisted posts jumpscares you on your dash, you can tell the person who reblogged it what’s going on or block them or whatever.
