The projects that I end up doing, that I want to be involved with in any way, have always been projects that will be impactful, for the most part, to my people â to black people. To see black people in ways which you have not seen them before. So Black Panther was on my radar, and in my dreams.
âIt was meant to be for Chadwick and me to be connected, for us to be family. But what many donât know is our story began long before his historic turn as Black Panther. During the premiere party for Black Panther, Chadwick reminded me of something. He whispered that when I received my honorary degree from Howard University, his alma mater, he was the student assigned to escort me that day. And here we were, years later as friends and colleagues, enjoying the most glorious night ever! Weâd spent weeks prepping, working, sitting next to each other every morning in makeup chairs, preparing for the day together as mother and son. I am honored that we enjoyed that full circle experience. This young manâs dedication was awe-inspiring, his smile contagious, his talent unreal. So I pay tribute to a beautiful spirit, a consummate artist, a soulful brotherâŚâthou arenât not dead but flown afarâŚâ. All you possessed, Chadwick, you freely gave. Rest now, sweet prince.â #WakandaForever

You know, I slept very disquietly last night thinking about Chadwick Boseman and the people I've seen on here mourning him who say they don't think they're entitled to their grief because they didn't know him. Without taking too much of your time - I'm thinking about a quote I read somewhere that said "we don't mourn them because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves." And I think he did that. He spent his time and his talent to tell black stories, empower and inspire both black kids and adults alike, and taught the rest of us how to redefine what a hero looks like. Those things are significant. You know, he was a human being with a human life and I hate to suggest that maybe it's true that some people are just here to bring others hope before they go. I don't know. But whatever the case, he did bring hope. So yeah, you are entitled to your grief, because the world will be poorer without him, but it is richer because he was here at all. Allow yourself to feel that, and take care, especially my black friends.

Do you ever think about how Tony told Peter that heâd blame himself if something happened to him?
Or about how Peter accidentally blamed Tony for him being in the ship?
You ever think about how that just reinforces Tonyâs guilt? That heâll always think about how itâs his fault Peter was on Titan, on the ship, or even fighting in the first place? Tony will always blame himself for Peter dying, no matter who it was that actually killed Peter or how many times Peter apologizes.
Sorry didnât cut it in Homecoming, and it wonât cut it now, for different reasons. And no matter how many times he says it, how he says it, or how much he means it, it wonât stop Tony from blaming himself.
Even after holding him, trying to comfort him because itâs the only thing he could do, it wonât stop him from thinking he could have done more.
Tony will always blame himself for Peter getting on the ship, always blame himself for Peter being on Titan, for Peter fighting Thanos, for Peter getting hurt, and for Peter dying.
Tony will always live with that guilt.
