I think the music is my favorite part of the clip. All shooting, filming, skating, waxing and slipping done by me. A little bit old but it should cool ya down on a hot June day.

Fight Club is a metaphor for skating. The physicality, the rush; they're the same. And everything else in your life gets the volume turned down.

I told myself I wouldn't post videos unless they were specifically related to Williamsburg. But for the second time in a short while, I find the need to post another video. When the skating and videography is of this caliber, it's simply worth noting.

Boundless Cellar Ramp
This is the door to the cellar of Boundless NY. (At least it's right in front of it so I assume it's Boundless'.) The shop is on Metropolitan and Roebling. The shop itself is dope and worth checking out.
This ramp is pretty big. Probably around 7ft tall at the very top. I haven't skated it yet, but it looks like if you can get the speed, you could get some serious launch off it.
Other positives are the potential to grind it. There's metal coping-like stuff on the edge that just needs a little wax. Also, considering Boundless is a skateboard shop, there isn't much worry about being kicked out.
The only real negative is the speed you need to get to skate it. The ground is uphill leading up to the ramp which isn't helpful. However, a pull from a car coming up Roebling is definitely possible.
And if you had enough speed you good to the coolest trick possible here. The disaster to AC unit.

Clearly this isn't shot in Brooklyn. But this may be the greatest 1m30s of skate video ever created. I'm talking all aspects. Skating, filming, edititing, the cinematography on a whole. This is bar-none.
Valo keep doing your thing. Incredibly good looking skates in an incredibly dope video.
Ray Mendez Throwing NYE Party
Ray and Skate Life Pro-motion are having themselves a New Year's party at St. Cecilia's Gym on the edges of Williamsburg. It starts at 7pm, open bar 8-9pm. They'll have grindboxes and booze. Excellent way to get the year started. Info: [email protected] or (646) 228-2183 (via IRollNY.com)
Preview: Under the BQE
This is easily one of the coolest spots in Williamsburg. I'm pretty sure the people behind Boundless and/or KCDC are behind it, but I have no clue. It's like a mini Brooklyn Banks because of all the homemade transitions and obstacles.
It's dirty as fuck down there. (Trust me, fall a couple of times and you'll wanna take a shower.) Beyond that, there aren't a lot of negatives to this spot. Gotta watch for the Black Taxi's, they consider the lot to be more there's than anyone else's. And there's the beautiful smell of trucks idling above you; exhaust fumes working there way deep into your sweaty hoodie.
The good? Skate in any conditions. Rain, snow, don't matter. There are plenty of obstacles so you don't really have to worry about "the good ledge being taken." I'm not gonna give the exacts of the location because, as you can see from the photos, whoever is behind this is adding more. The wallride to down ledge (that had actual metal coping!) got destroyed at some point this weekend. As far as I know it couldn't have been around for more than few weeks. So this place needs some time to heal.
Clearly lots of people know about the spot but I'm not trying to make it harder on the heads who work on it. But when it's in better condition, I'll post full details and you can come skate the hard-work of some crafty, dedicated individuals.
Features:
Pyramid (wallride)
(3-5) Quarters
Elevated, yellow parking block (slick as hell)
Street spine (funnest thing to ride here)
Elevated waxed block (5ft long(?))
Wallride to downledge
I know it's Christmas in Brooklyn when all the carollers are using autotune.
