this song is about having social anxiety in party-type settings, the narrator is at a party, hates its, finds himself asking “why do i always come to these?” then through perspective and analyzation comes to the conclusion that he continues to find himself at these parties because he find solace in engaging in social drug use or falling “in love” for a night with another human being, whichever tends to come first. i can absolutely promise this is gonna be the corniest song on the record.
