I was just talking about this today. The main problem for me is that the characters that they miss so much are the most popular characters. You cannot miss Heat. You cannot miss Hiro. If they're a main character in both of the games, you cannot be mad that they're not in a game that's basically a spinoff. The only character that I miss is Pinky. But I'm not mad that shes not in ds2001, why would she?

I've noticed that when game franchises do something new to keep things fresh (like a spinoff), people don't like it. But when game franchises play it safe and keep things pretty samey, people don't like that either! So honestly, if they made a Bust a Groove 3 rather than DS2001, I think people would probably still complain and say that it's "too similar" to the first two. But that's just my theory, haha
