please do not take ur body for granted. or do, it's ur choice. but really, I am trying to appreciate what is going well for me in spite of everything my body seemingly can't do.

(ok this really isn't for anyone but me so here goes) I've spent the last 4 years in search of a diagnosis with more than 7 doctors and countless prescriptions. I have a somewhat working treatment but I just found out that ohsu has a department specializing in conditions like mine and I might actually get a real diagnosis that isn't just "allergies"!! I'm so excited but also terrified. I've spent too much time having doctors invalidate my pain and experiences and I'm just really hoping that this next practice is supportive and actually believes me since my problem is in their area of specialty! (also though shout out to my dermatologist who has gotten me this far) I don't have an appointment yet but I'm just feeling really overwhelmed bc this is something that's been out of my control for so long and I'd somewhat settled on my current treatment and given up. But now since I think I might know what I have I can maybe move forward and get better?? I just want to feel normal again. It also sucks bc this is not an issue I can openly complain about and that makes it that much harder. Here's to new endeavors and hopefully a diagnosis and working treatment.
