I’ve made it to Portland. After 160 days, more than 20k miles, and many, many rolls of film, I finally crossed the city limits and reached what I thought since day one would be the end of my journey. The promised land.

But my sister is getting married next month and now I have to make my way back. Thing is, my car has hardly any strength left to make it back to the east coast. I have no more money. I’ve fallen in love with this city and don’t have the heart to leave just yet.

So, I’ve decided: I’m going to hitchhike back home. West Coast to East Coast.

I have a wedding to get to.
