“I’m hoping to fill the position with someone who is equally gregarious but not quite so flammable.”

“Does anyone have any recommendations?”

“Oh! Oh! I’ll-Oh...” He was doing the hands up thing and was somewhat bouncing up and down to volunteer only to remember he literally has electricity dancing around outside his head. Tilting his head down a little. 

Ah well.

He got in with an insane amount of luck. He had been out of touch a little with how B1 Battle Droid should be with adopting hobbies and trying to make friends. 

“Huh?...” 

He was tapping away at the enemies computer when something appeared that he had never seen before. 

“...Uh...” He glanced around to see if there was anyone coming before he continued typing, there seemed to be some sort of command or message box. He started to type out hello but stopped because he thought that would be a bit silly. Instead the droid opted for trying to figure out what program this was.

The pelt on the Tynnans arm reacted to the electricity on Bats head and promptly rose and fluffed up like a good-weather cloud. “Eh, I had been shocked already by a lot of things, a little electricity will not kriffing kill me.”, still the young Tynnan pulled back her small paw and instead awkwardly patted the Droids shoulder- Ziv was not especially good with physical touch that had not been specifically asked for by and was consented by another person so she eventually pulled back her paw stiffly.

When Ziv had been send to the AgriCorps, she had sit through every lecture and lesson as if they had been the end of the world and she was a prisoner stuck in a horrible cell, yet Bats soaked those lessons up like a sponge water and he even enjoyed the lessons Ziv had loathed so much as a child. It was refreshing. It made her feel content that she could give those lessons to Bats. It made her feel happy, that he was so curious for the lessons she could give. “The mini-lillies are called seedlings. If you want to, I can show you how you could kriffing clone your lillies by cutting off their branching off stems and putting them in cups of water until they start developing roots which you can then plant into pots where they grow into their own plant while the original motherplant still grows and rises in all their kriffing glory. Its a botanist trick on how to multiply plants easy.”, she explained, watching the Droid attentiveand waiting for his reaction: “When you have tried out that kriffery, I can show you how you can cut off branches and put them on other plants with stronger roots for a better plantgrowth.”

“Wait-Plants can be cloned too?!”

He just hoped clones weren’t cloned in the same way. It sounded painful.

“It-Doesn’t hurt the lilies right? It won’t kill them?...Just...Uh...Oh! Like surgery? But the surgery is one that makes clones!-Well not the clones clones...But flower clones! More mini plants-I mean saplings!....I don’t know why they are called saplings, they don’t zap you when you touch them. I tried.”

“The Mother plant makes it sound like the Mother computer that controls my kind. Like-Sending signals and orders to you, does the Mother plant do that too? Tell the mini-The Saplings to grow or become what they are?...Or is that just in their genes like non droids?... It’s fascinating to learn about growth being a droid and all....So many different lifeforms take so many different shapes, sizes-It’s all so cool to learn to about them properly other than just shooting at them!”

At least, he hoped what he had learned over the time he had started his new life had been beneficial. It felt beneficial, he just hoped he himself was useful.  “It’s nice...Doing something different, something that isn’t fighting.” He admitted, looking down at the images once more. “I’m creating things, not ending them...” Until he got back into the fight anyway, luckily undercover didn’t call for much death unless necessary. 

“I’m not saying that I want to reprogram you.” Anakin held his hands up in defense. “Changing what chassis you sit in wouldn’t reprogram you, it would simply change how you look. You could work just as well in a Protocol Droid body, or an Astromech body.”

“You’d still be you. Just with different appearance and abilities.”

“And I’m not saying that you should do it, that’s your choice.”

If he had someone he trusted enough to do something like that he’d have something to contain his electricity already. 

“...I don’t know what I want.” He admitted. “I’m Bats, and I need to know who Bats is.” Everyday he learned new things, he enjoyed that part and exploring new places. Meeting and having actual friends was nice too even if he had very few. 

“Possibly.” Anakin didn’t know what the droid meant, but he wasn’t about to say no. This droid seemed…. nice. Almost reminded him of his old friends. “Biological creatures have to do it that way. DNA, biology and such work different from machinery. We start out tiny. Smaller than microchips. We have to grow to become what we are. You get pieced together the size you are and don’t change unless we change what chassis your Droid Brain is set in.”

“Flowers start small too! They hatch from a seed! Like a bird! Tinier then a bird...It’s hard to hold the seeds...I don’t wanna hurt them.”

Bats: People take their clothes off for reasons other than baths???

…This was a talking B1 Battle Droid.

….Well, it asked a question.

“It is the act of two organic creatures either making offspring or pleasuring each other.”

“Oh! Like when they do the weird thing with their faces? They seem happy when they do that!”

He meant kissing. 

“Oh!...Why would they wanna watch someone take off their clothes though?”

“Why?” 

He gasped.
