hey y’all like this post for a starter !!

          ❛  ---  okay ?  ❜   she  doesn’t  have  much  to  say  in  regard  to  kitty’s  ---  criticism ?  about  her  pajamas.   she’ll  simply  have  to  see  if  she  passes  the  girl’s  ‘test’  later  that  night.   ❛  i  guess  i’m  cool  with  anything.  ❜   she  gives  kitty  a  small  smile,  perhaps  a  ---  not - entirely - sure - of - herself  nod  as  well.   ❛  what  time  did  you  want  me  to  come  over?  ❜   she  asks.   ❛  we  could  just  leave  from  glee  rehearsal  together,  if  you  wanted.  ❜

          she’s  yawned  at  least  three  times  in  the  past  15  minutes,  so  she  isn’t  surprised  when  he  leans  over  toward  her,  whispering  that  comment  in  her  ear.   she  turns  her  head  to  look  up  at  him,  wrinkling  her  nose  at  him  as  a  smile  fights  to  upturn  the  corners  of  her  mouth.   marley  shakes  her  head  in  protest.   ❛  i’m  not  gonna  fall  asleep,  jake.  ❜   she  says,  determined  look  in  her  eyes.   ❛  i’m  wide  awake.  ❜   there’s  a  soft  giggle,  though  she  does  soon  turn  back  to  the  TV,  quietly  resting  her  head  upon  his  shoulder  as  a  hand  reaches  for  his,  their  fingers  carefully  interlacing.

          her  arms  gently  cross  against  her  chest,  blocking  herself  in  ---  off.   she  looks  up  to  sam,  blue  eyes  finding  his  as  she  breathes  in,  slowly  releasing  a  soft  sigh.   ❛  i’m  sorry  ---  ❜   she  says,  shaking  her  head.   ❛  i  didn’t  mean  to  ---  get  upset  like  that.  ❜   she’s  slightly  embarrassed,  a  certain  rosiness  in  her  cheeks,  even  despite  sam’s  words  of  comfort.   it  was  just  a  silly  little  comment.   he  was  allowed  to  make  them.   after  all,  they  weren’t  dating  anymore.   but  it  had  set  something  off  within  her  ---  she’d  walked  right  out  of  the  choir  room.   ❛  thank  you  for  coming  after  me.  ❜   she  looks  up  at  him,  a  sad  smile  curving  her  lips.

          slight  offense  flashes  across  her  face,  but  it’s  gone  almost  as  quickly  as  it  comes.   she  sighs  gently  as  the  other  girl  speaks,  nodding  at  her  specificities.  kitty  really  could  talk.   ❛  ---  pajama  sets?  ❜   eyebrows  raise  slightly.   ❛  like  a  ---  matching  set?  ❜   she  wonders  quietly  why  she’d  need  a  matching  pajama  set  ---  maybe  it  was  just  all  about  the  aesthetic?   ❛  i  have  one  ---  it’s  sort  of  ---  older,  but  it’s  still  nice.  ❜

          her  arms  cross  against  her  chest.   she  keeps  her  gaze  upon  the  shorter  girl  as  she  speaks,  slight  disbelief  written  within  the  lines  of  her  face.   though  her  expression  does  soon  turn  to  that  of  a  soft  smile  as  the  corners  of  her  mouth  are  gently  tugged  upward.   maybe  hanging  out  with  kitty  wouldn’t  be  so  bad.   maybe  the  other  girl  really  did  want  to  be  friends.   marley  could  be  wary,  and  still  give  her  this  second  chance,  couldn’t  she?   ❛  that  sounds  like  fun.  ❜   she  smiles  now,  truly,  giving  kitty  a  small  nod.   ❛  i  don’t  really  know  about  the  wine   ---  ❜   there’s  a  gentle  wince.   ❛  ---  but  playing  dumb  games  and  watching  movies  does  sound  like  a  lot  of  fun.  ❜   a  pause.   ❛  will  it  just  be  the  two  of  us?  ❜

          eyebrows  continue  to  furrow.   she’s  slightly  taken  aback  by  the  offer,  unsure  what  to  make  of  it.   while  kitty’s  attitude  toward  her  had  changed  significantly  since  sectionals,  she  hadn’t  exactly  thought  they’d  be  friends.   nor  did  she  think  they’d  be  getting  together  outside  of  glee  club.   still,  the  offer  seems  innocent  enough.   ❛  i  ---  sure,  i  guess  ?  ❜   she  sounds  unsure,  though  she  accepts.   however,  she  pauses,  a  bit  skeptical.   she  can’t  help  it  really.   ❛  are  you  sure  about  this,  kitty?  ❜

          ❛  i  mean  ---  i  think  so.  ❜   she  says  as  she  turns  to  face  him,  the  rest  of  the  glee  club  filing  out  of  the  room.  a  bright  smile  is  reflected  upon  her  features.   ❛  we  couldn’t  do  it  without  you  though.  ❜   there  had  certainly  been  some  nerves  when  mr.  schue  left,  leaving  finn  in  charge  of  the  glee  club.   half  of  them  didn’t  even  know  who  finn  was,  and  the  other  half  didn’t  seem  insanely  keen  on  having  their  old  friend  coaching  their  team.   but  they  had  all  grown  into  their  roles,  and  marley  found  she  really  liked  finn.   ❛  you’re  a  natural  leader  finn.   i  know  it’s  my  first  year  in  the  glee  club,  and  i  don’t  know  what  it  was  like  before,  but  i  do  know  that  you  make  us  better.  ❜

          ❛  we’re  friends ?  ❜   eyebrows  furrow,  looking  down  at  the  pack  of  gushers  in  her  hands.   the  question  was  more  sincere  than  accusatory,  baby  blue  hues  gazing  back  up  at  the  blonde  in  front  of  her.   she  supposes  they’d  been  through  ---  a  lot  together.   though,  she  wouldn’t  have  thought  the  other  would  consider  her  a  friend.   or  go  out  of  her  way  for  her  like  this.   ❛  i  mean  ---  thank  you,  kitty.  ❜
