Lean On Me

     kai  enjoyed  the  days  at  the  park.   especially  when  he  was  there  to  just  read  a  book  and  enjoy  his  lazy  sunday  afternoon.    eyes  shifted  up  when  he  saw  a  beautiful  husky  approach  him.   he  grinned,  petting  the  pet  as  it  licked  his  face.   “  aww,  you  are  precious,  ”   the  man  said  as  he  looked  around  to  see  who  the  dog  belonged  to.   “  now  where  is  your  owner  buddy,  ”   he  said  as  he  spotted  a  man  running  towards  him.   he  blinked  a  few  times,  realizing  that  the  man  was  just  as  big  as  the  dog.    “  i’m  assuming  that’s  your  human,  ”   he  grinned  as  he  looked  up.   “  no  worries,  he  seems  so  nice.  ”

“Maybe.” He chuckled a bit as he moved to fully kneel on one knee, letting the dog lick at his face. He made soft little baby noises and spoke in a high pitch tone. “Who’s a good boy? Ye are! Yes ye are!” He laughed as he watched the dog’s tail wag at 20 miles per hour. “Nice tae meet ye tae, Roderick. An’ Zero, like from Nightmare B’fore Christmas, yeah?” He smiled. “I’m Emmett O’Connor. If ye wanna, I’m sure me pups would be up fer a playdate.”

Pip looked up at the other man, ‘Kinda, not really…” 

A sensitive person by nature, the nearly seven foot tall male pursed his lips as he heard the other’s words, wondering how he could help. He didn’t know him from Adam, but he was still someone that liked to help people and if he could, he would. “I’m sorry,” was all Roderick could offer before a hand moved to run through his long, luscious locks. “I know you don’t know me, but you don’t deserve to be down.”

Melchior was sitting on a bench in the park. He was eating his lunch quickly during his brake. He hated eating at the salon where he worked because of all the chatter from his co workers. He smiled as he felt something bump him at his leg. “Aww hey there cutie.” He rubbed on the dogs fur a bit under their ears. “Oh you must have an owner huh?” Melchior looked around and saw someone who must be the owner approach the dog. He smiles at the older man. “Oh no he’s completely fine. I was going to offer him a sweet potato stick. If that’s alright with you?”

Alec was a little shocked when a dog ran up to him, stopping just in front of him. “He’s an adorable dog that’s for sure” he smiled at the owner, kneeling down to pet the dog. “A very good social boy”

Emmett was minding his own business, walking home from work when he was almost knocked over by the large husky. He laughed a little as he noticed the man running towards the dog. “It’s alrigh’, he jus’ wanted some pets, now didn’t ye?” He grinned as he moved to pet the dog, scratching behind his ears. “I’m used tae dogs comin’ in my pub an’ such. I even got some big ones at home, so… Ye dorn’t gotta worry ‘bout ‘im.”

Every time he saw Roderick he was only reminded of how much he grew to love the man every day. More and more. He smiled when he saw the other fixing up a bath, because he knew the herculean built man was going to invite him into the tub that could barely hold him, but he was definitely not going to say no to his man. “Yeah. Just let me run and text my co-worker for her shift tomorrow.” He grabbed his phone. “So how was work?” He now knew that dog groomers didn’t have it as easy as most people thought - and he learned that mostly from the nights that his boyfriend came home stressed beyond relief. He let the gigantic frame easily swallow him up and he moved to hug the other back. “Ooh and I found someone interested in buying some of Diamond’s puppies. They are already offering two grand. And I figured that we could charge higher, since its a pure bred husky.”

“Work was... work. Mrs. Nevins brought in her poodle for her usual, so that was fun.” The dog was probably one of the only poodles to not enjoy getting groomed, but at the very least, the dog was a friendly thing. Still, though, he had to stop himself from chuckling at his boyfriend told him that he had found someone interested in buying a puppy from Diamond. “As great at that is, they’re overspending... husky puppies go for about a thousand, maybe a thousand and five hundred if its a female.” And with Diamond and Zero both registered as pure-blooded huskies, he knew that they would be able to sell the puppies as purebreds. “Besides, we shouldn’t try to sell them until we know the genders.” Or if the pups would live - it was Diamond’s first pregnancy, after all.

He sighed as he entered his home, he shared with his high school sweetheart, and threw his keys on the counter. “Baby, I am home.” He had a long day at the museum. It was their busy season, since kids were out of school and families were going on trips. “Hey Zero.” He smiled, kneeling down to play with the other’s head. “Did you behaved for daddy today?” He chuckled, knowing that Zero could be a handful sometimes. He then moved to go find his boyfriend, so he could give him a big kiss. “Can we have a cuddle session and finish off Jessica Jones?” He continued to call to the other. His mind moved and thought a lot - so he often found himself saying a million things at once. “There’s my man.” he smiled and moved over towards Roderick.

To say that Xavier had partied hard the night before, would be an understatement. At thirty two, a few months short only of thirty three, hangovers seemed to hit him a lot harder. Naturally, he got up to drink it away, not even remembering that someone had spent the night over, until he saw them coming out of the bathroom. “Oh. Hey. How’d ya sleep?”

“Just great…I thought I had escaped…” 

The behemoth of a male was perusing through clothes, hoping to find something cheap enough - and large enough - that he could buy that wouldn’t show white fur as badly when he heard someone speak. Glancing over the rack, he saw someone looking rather morose and he walked over to him. “...Are you alright?”
