I try to calm my breathing was a terrified at being hurt that way. Wiped my tears suddenly my happy day goes straight to shit. I listened again the other higher pitch tone definitely city guy. Shit I gotta call daddy, My husband, and Kayce. I slowly ease away. [I was out helpin Kayce with some cattle disappearing from one of the neighboring lands. They were coming into town an my office was flooded with calls. So as Mayor I had to investigate this as I was a hands on Mayor. Not some city slicker sitting behind a desk. Then I felt my phone ring. It was my beautiful wife calling me. I grinned as I answered my phone.] Hey baby girl. How's my sw...[My words stopped as I heard what you were saying. Ain't no one gonna hurt my wife or our family.] Babe. Get to the ranch as fast as you can. Get the kids and Tate and take em to my old secluded mountain man cabin in the woods the property. Should be safe there and no one knows bout it. I love you baby girl. Be safe. [I hung up the phone then ran over to Kayce in a hurry.] Kayce we gotta go. Mercs comin to the ranch we gotta go handle this shit. I told your sister to get all our kids and head to my old cabin. Come on let's go. [Gets in Kayces truck as we drove off to the ranch. Then sons of bitches gonna pay. Em fuckin with two ex military men's family.]
[I had been out checking on the puppies out back I had just bought from a old farmer near town. They where just outside by the back door in a box getting fresh air. I slipped them a bowl of water and food. Then started back to the back door when it slid open. My smile faded hearing my daughter on speaker phone sounding terrified. [I then got on the phone the phone with @brandedradiant] Lil darlin you and Rip get the boy over to where the guns are. Then take some of the hands to the bunk house. Travis and Raelynn are post up there.
John, now wait just a damn minute! You know dang well we are like family. I got two cowboys with me. We got guns in the extra truck. You are like family. I will send the wife to bunk house with @brandedcrow
