 ”What would make you even think he’s related to me? I don’t have any children.”

“You might have a point. It’s not like this city’s structure was made to attend bears’ basic needs, right? I mean, how would a bear use the toilet, for one?” Samejima’s asking the important questions.

“What an idiotic question. Those who would destroy the lives other build for arbitrary reasons are nothing but filth that need to be purged.” She spoke from experience in that regard. “Yet unfortunately in the world humans have created, it is necessary to make money. I do not have a level of greed comparable to his, yet I must still acquire what I can to survive.”

Nemesis didn’t give much care to money, or to gain it by taking life (whether through death or imprisonment) from others. That was simply what she did best. She would never allow herself to return to the state of a foolish girl begging for food, attention, and even life. It didn’t matter what she had to break to do it. Her conquest would continue until she had no worries left.

This man you’re searching for here is no prey of hers! Why would she fight you over a stranger’s life? (A male’s at least.)

“I thought you weren’t human,” she says in response, and that’s all. Humans. She’s not a huge fan of them either but their lot don’t survive up in the frozen seas in the north. At least not for long. Here they’re like a plague of rats, but it’s their city she’s been brought to, so it’s expected.

“I told you. He’s there.” Instead of tilting her head towards the table as she did before, Rocma points a barbed claw.

Getting into the mood his tail started to sway left and right in a rhythmic motion. Her words cut like a knife into his soul, he was seriously hurt hearing something like that from her of all people. But he kept his cool.

“ Honeybear you’re being so awfully cold today. I only want to hold hands~ Maybe something even more intimate against a tree if you act like a good girl. “

She’s not quite fast enough to dodge that kick. Speed isn’t her forte, oh no. She specializes in brute strength and you both know if she actually gets a hit in, it’s going to hurt to the darkest, frozen depths of hell.

You knock the breath out of her but she just skids back with the momentum, her claws bracing against the cement. Fur bristling, she bares her teeth yet further.

“I have. No interest. In doing anything with you. Do you not understand that?”

Her growl’s rumbling in her chest. Rocma’s eyes travel to the side, narrowing with...worry?

It would be a very interesting experiment.

She twitches an eye. If you were a male, she’d be so insulted, but her anger tends to flare up a little...less furiously around girls. There’s still plenty of ice but it’s not enough to cause any frostburn. She’s going to ignore your comment. Absolutely.

“ Come on sweetie, this is our tearful reunion after so long! Don’t you wanna hug and bang up against a tree to make up for lost time? “ 

Taking a step forward for a smooching he was greeted with a ferocious swipe, he expected this from her short temperament and predictable ways to do things. Leaning back in the very last moment, a bit too last moment for his own comfort as a sweat drop ran down his temple. 

“ Ho ho~ What a scary cuddlebear you are, yes you are~! “ 

She has claws like railroad spikes and she aims another swipe right at that stupid dorsal fin, growling, and her voice is simultaneously very high and very low.

It’s sort of like a loud growl. A curious combination of an actual polar bear snarl and her “human” voice.

“Don’t patronize me, orca! The last thing I want is to be anywhere near you.”

Rocma pulls back but she’s still in a fighting stance, ears quivering with rage.

“If you don’t have anything intelligent to say or do, then leave.”

               Was it the white hair and black eyes that confused the God? Maybe. They knew right away the other was not Kcalb, as Etihw was very familiar with the devil but..  They just look too similar!

They considered the other being a demon, but the animal features on them spoke otherwise.

“Well, I was under the impression that bears walked on four legs and had fur all over their bodies. Then again, I did meet a guy who called himself a bear ,but didn’t even have a bear like costume at him, so I guess you’re more like one than him.”

As the voice reached her, she scoffed slightly. It was obvious her target had entered this area, and the immediate and coy question made it clear this one had knowledge. However despite the looks of caution from all others present, this one held an expression reminiscent of falling snow. Not the raging storm of her own, but with a similar chill to it. 

"Indeed. Some fool has entered into an ungodly level of debt. Naturally, those who he owes are looking to collect. Now then, do not waste my time with games. I will find him no matter where he hides, so save myself the time, and yourself the possibility of being caught in crossfire. Where did he hide."

She doesn’t feel the need to interrupt another predator.

“...Is that so. But are you hunting for sport or necessity?”

“They’re locked up. They have their freedom stripped away. They’re allowing themselves to be gawked at...”

There’s no such thing as “non-sentient” animals. Some are less so, but to her, they’re all still animals of any variety. She doesn’t share your optimism on the subject unfortunately. Her black nose twitches with a great amount of dignity.

“They get treated like pets...I’ve never met an animal with any pride that’d allow it.”

Rocma sniffs, clearly disdainful of the conversation. She doesn't know why you’d come and pester her so randomly over something like this.

“What a disgrace...I’m not dressed as a bear. I am a bear. Even humans should be able to tell that much.”

Mere luck, destiny? Whatever guided him it had led him to one of his favourite bears in the whole wide world. Oh how he was delighted in this turn of events, a non-stop grinning while letting the cigarette smolder between his lips. 

" Honeybear, you are wounding me. This is a tearful reunion between two soul mates. Can you even imagine how its been like not being able to see your grumpy face around? "

His tail had already started sway left and right the moment he got track on her. He was excited, few characters had managed to make his life as entertaining as she had.

" How about a kiss to make up for lost time? " 

So she loses that fight, of course, lips yanking back to expose long teeth.

Arms folded, nails nearly impaling her own skin, Rocma aims a kick at you in the same movement that takes her to her feet. That ear of hers that carries a notch? It's twitching away. Irritation beyond words.

"Don't you have anything better to do than make a nuisance of yourself?"
