Somehow I've gone this long listening to Billy Idol while missing out on the awesomeness that is Generation X. Anyone who likes punk, seriously needs Generation X in their life; they're so good. The only reason I was even looking them up is because their song "Kiss Me Deadly" obviously shares a name with Lita Ford's song and I just searched for that song.

Also, young Billy Idol is so hot.

Okay, so sometimes it seems like the goal of fashion shows is to make the models (and by extension their clothing) look as unflattering as possible. Yet, I still can't help admiring Joan here. I swear she can rock anything, it's honestly unfair. Also, she's absolutely the most badass human ever so maybe that has something to do with it.

One of the greatest discoveries of my life was hands down when I realized that one of my biggest heroes (thanks to both his production and his time in the Payolas) Bob Rock had produced my favourite Veruca Salt album, Eight Arms to Hold You. I guess I'd never pegged Veruca Salt as a Bob Rock band so I was somewhat pleasantly surprised, but sonically this album totally sounds like some of the other albums he's produced so, like, it makes sense.

Bob Rock on this album: "To me, this was one of those records that was fun to make. Great people, a great experience, and it was successful... There was no drama. ‘Let’s record it, let’s mix it – boom.'"

As for this account, I'm still figuring out exactly what Tumblr's about so I'm not sure what'll happen here, but it seems like a good place to blast my endless musing. Considering my instagram is limited to women in rock (which, for the record, is amazing - my girls don't get enough love and recognition which is totally unfair), I'll probably branch out a bit here and explore my other bands (as well as my girls, of course).

I guess that's pretty much all I have to say right now except, we'll see what happens.
