I was experimenting with photo transfer techniques on fabric yesterday and this is the result. I think it’s pretty cute. I was going to get rid of these pants, which is why I had the confidence to do it, otherwise I would have done the test on a scrap piece of fabric instead. The manga panels are from Hakume to Mikochi (left) and Shiori Experience (Right). I’m not sure how the prints would work in the washing machine. Before I used to add shadows where I’d ‘think’ they’d go. However, I’ve been studying Light and colour with the @productionartdepartment and have been learning how to mathematically measure how light would hit an object and the angle the shadow would cast. It’s really interesting but also challenging. The outline was given to us, and the grey version is what I coloured in. This is a digital painting I’ve been working on for a few weeks with my colour and light class with @productionartdepartment We received a general outline of a snowy field with perspective lines and we’re told to design a random structure in the snow. We could make up the lighting (as long as it looked believable and real. ) On film sets, a real set location could exist with only a few real set props which then has CGI added on top. Therefore, we had to keep the same rocks and hills in the background to practice working in concept art. My idea was a snow temple on a sunny day.
