My friend and I had lunch at Aladdin's Natural Eatery today. Their location at Schoen Place is our favorite to go to and it's right on the beautiful and quaint Erie Canalside. Before I left, I stopped to take photos of some Canada Geese. I was surprised at how close they came to me! We basically took a stroll together 😄

I wanted to share a quick look back at the Indigenous Music and Arts Festival from last weekend!
This was my second year attending (last year I even got the chance to meet Gary Farmer, who was so sweet!) and I had such a great time! I went with one of my friends, and they introduced me to frybread, which we shared.
I think my favorite part was watching the traditional dances. I got to participate in the Friendship Dance, and that was so special and meaningful to me.
The festival is held every year at the Ganondagan State Historic Site. I didn't realize this at the time, but it's actually the original site of a 17th-century Seneca town, which is just incredible.
I also very much appreciated the Pride colors throughout the grounds. It made the space feel so inclusive and welcoming.
Yesterday, my friend and I visited the Seneca Park Zoo. It's located within the gorgeous Seneca Park which was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (the same landscape architect who designed Central Park and Prospect Park)! Because of that, there are plenty of native trees and songbirds! The scenery is beautiful in all four seasons.
Beyond the local cardinals and squirrels who've made themselves at home, we had so much fun seeing the animals, exploring the grounds and reading about their conservation work.
