For this year's Give OUT Day, Bi Women Quarterly is raising $8,000 to sustain the oldest—and currently only—bisexual+ women's publication in the world!

Since I started editing BWQ, I've watched it grow from a local newsletter into a completely free global resource. We’ve been in continuous publication since 1983, and our latest issue features voices from 10 different countries! We send print and digital copies to thousands of individuals, college campuses, and community centers, and we are fiercely committed to keeping this vital space freely accessible to all bi+ women and gender-expansive folks who need connection.

Publishing costs are rising, and we need your help to keep going without ever putting up a paywall.

My June & July schedule is packed with incredible Pride events, from local town programs in Concord to a visit to the historic Stonewall Inn, corporate spaces, and international conferences like the Bi+ World Conference in Amsterdam.

New issue of Bi Women Quarterly is out NOW!

This issue's theme is "Dear _" Readers were asked to write a letter to someone who has impacted their bi+ identity in some way and let them know how they feel. Maybe it's a parent who didn't react well to their coming out, a public figure who changed their life by example, or a lawmaker who's trying to take away their rights, a first same-gender crush, or a love letter to their partner of 20 years."

We are grateful to everyone who submitted their letters, poetry, essays, and visual art.

Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia (#IDAHOBIT).

Today is the 22nd anniversary of the first day of marriage equality in Massachusetts.

For me and Peg, for our dear friends Carla and Megan, and for so many others, it is also our 22nd wedding anniversary. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled on 11/18/03 that: "...barring an individual from the protections, benefits, and obligations of civil marriage solely because that person would marry a person of the same sex violates the Massachusetts Constitution."

Gerrymandering has reached a point where it is actively undermining our democracy. To fix this race to the bottom, we need federal legislation that takes map-drawing away from partisan politicians and establishes independent commissions and one set of rules for the entire country.

By doing this, we can create competitive elections and maps that reflect the true will of the people—not just the interests of the party in power. It’s time to return to a system where voters choose their legislators, rather than legislators choosing their voters.

With Pride Month just around the corner, it is always an honor to see how these conversations stay with people long after a workshop ends. My goal is to move beyond simple definitions and help teams understand the true, fluid nature of identity.

The Legal Accountability Center is filing a complaint against EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas, alleging she is overstepping her authority to undermine DEI programs and stall anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination investigations.

These actions are a calculated attempt to intimidate employers and weaken the federal protections the commission is meant to uphold. We cannot allow civil rights enforcement to be used as a tool for exclusion.

Pride Month is just around the corner, and I am currently booking workshops and webinars for June 2026. Whether we are exploring the nuances of identity or building more inclusive spaces together, I would love to bring one of my programs to your community.
