A highlight of the Bi+ World Conference, for me, was "Bi+ research across the world: Developments, cultural diversity & fun facts," with speakers from Italy, Kenya, Peru, the Netherlands, Thailand, Iran/France, and the U.S. (this last one was me).

Today is International Left-handers Day

There were even enough elders in attendance at the Bi+ World Conference to take this impromptu group photo. This was not a planned photo, so this is only a subset of those in attendence. Some folks in this photo have been doing this work for decades: Wayne from Australia, Hilde from the Netherlands, Lisa and Ian from the UK, Maria from the Netherlands, to name a few. Bravo to our bi+ elders! 

Almost 50 years. That’s how long I’ve been out as bi+.

Proof (as if we ever needed it) that it was never "just a phase."

The political landscape may look vastly different today than when I first stepped into this work, but the need for bi+ education, community, and visibility hasn't changed. If anything, the demand for real, actionable programming has only grown.

As September and Bi+ Visibility Month approach, now is the time to bring these vital conversations to your campus, workplace, or organization.

Just remember: Trump lies about EVERYTHING. And his circle of smarmy sycophantic bobbleheads then go and repeat his lies.

This is just one small example.

We’ll be discussing how researchers and activists across continents conduct, use, and advocate for research to advance bi+ inclusion and equality through both professional and personal lenses.

Just one week to go! ✈️🌈 I’m thrilled to share that I will be presenting my program, "Getting Bi: Challenging Biphobia and Bi Erasure & Creating a Culture of Inclusion," at the upcoming Bi+ World Conference in Amsterdam!

Hosted by Bi+ Nederland and Bi+ Equal from July 28–30, 2026, this three-day event brings together bi+ people from around the globe to exchange knowledge, share lived experiences, and celebrate the strength and diversity of our community through engaging workshops, panels, and connection.

When we talk about LGBTQ+ advocacy and education, it is vital that we explicitly bring the B into the conversation. I love hearing that audiences leave my sessions feeling energized and poised for action. If you are looking for a speaker who can break down complex ideas in an accessible, engaging way, I would love to connect.

On Thursday, June 25th, the International Imperial Court and the National LGBTQ Task Force hosted an incredibly moving ceremony adding seven new icons to the National LGBTQ Wall of Honor at the Stonewall Inn. Among the honorees was longtime bi+ activist Loraine Hutchins, who was inducted alongside visionary leaders including Barbara Gittings and Miss Major Griffin-Gracy.

It was breathtaking to be inside the Stonewall Inn for the first time. It is a place saturated with history, and it was such an honor to be invited by the hosts to speak at this event and sing the praises of Loraine Hutchins, who passed away in November. Loraine was a true bicon from whom I learned so much about activism and about integrity during the 35 years of our friendship.
