New love is so beautiful
Youâre so fascinated with how perfectly he smiles and talks about his interests. How he glows up when talking about the people he loves. How he seems to understand you and pushes you to be your best.
And then that new love is tested.
Suddenly heâs stubborn. Whyâs he fighting you when youâre suggesting he takes care of his eating habits? Heâs moody when sad and can sometimes be as grumpy as a teenager. His jokes start to seem a little old.
How does it survive? You kiss that big stubborn head of his. You both have to learn to apologize and understand each otherâs boundaries.
I honestly donât believe in unconditional romantic love. It may be all-consuming, overwhelming or intoxicating even. But itâs never unconditional. Because at the very core of your love, if it werenât for this particular combination of traits in a human being with the proper circumstances, this love story would look so much different if there was one.
And the bliss of new love will fade. Suddenly the intoxicating love wears off and youâre sober. You have to choose to be his partner. You have to choose to fight for each other every single day, giving 100% to each other. When you feel that you canât, then choose to just be with them.
New love is great, but a persistant love, one that survives the challenges and hardships, is so much more beautiful. May we all experience it someday inshaâallah. đ¤
