After a few hours I got my numbers to increase into the hundreds, still not at all where I want it to be. I thought changing the group size would be the simple cause but there is something I am missing that I'm sure is small. Either way, my dataset is becoming more complete. My VGG will be trained to identify animals and pokemon. I will then see how to incorporate this into the styleGAN workflow. I know the styleGAN hates having images that are not specific sizes so I might have to resize each image by hand... Something I want to avoid at all cost. Maybe training a separate network to identify faces or bodies and centers and crops them based on that. Time will tell.
