It’s so simple to keep quiet in social situations—to throw a sideways glance where words may have helped both parties, or perhaps the words could have been a selfless act and just helped the other without gaining any advantage yourself.  It’s easy to be shut, but, unfortunately, part of the human experience is growth, is challenge. It’s pushing outside the box you have unconsciously created for yourself. Often, the only way to do this is through truthful, vulnerable communication with others.  Often I have been told that my words are best kept inside instead of given. Many social interactions I have been in have had a clammed atmosphere-- as if there has been an unspoken decision that what is clearly hanging in the air should not be acknowledged for whatever reason: fear, pride, control.  It’s this lack of acknowledgement of unspoken feelings and thoughts that keep us from moving forward, or normalizing the act of speaking vulnerable thoughts. This lack of communication keeps us in our heads without figuring out if the situation I perceive is anything like what you see on your end. We must speak when the fear is greatest and learn to distance ourselves from those that refuse to hear and listen when it is most important. It is only then can we begin to bridge meaningful gaps and build powerful, truthful connections.   Thanks for reading. 

Current writing music.  Hello everyone! I am not dead, just writing a lot.  Finished an intense article I’ve been working on since April, sent it off this week. Dealing with writer hangover--which is a thing no one told me about.  Beware. After you send something off that has been part of your brain for so long you have a bit of an unexpected empty space for a while.  Hoping to post some interesting writings about ADHD, proxemics, and social dynamics soon. Among those who make me laugh the hardest, many have unintentionally cut the deepest. Deep intuition can be confusing, and overwhelming, and the idea of using these powerful tools as a weapon, without understanding the repercussions, can seem better than exposing yourself-- but using a flame-flower instead of a candle rarely sets the mood for dinner. It is important to learn when not to jab, or to at least train in yourself to restrain the deepness of your intuitive cuts--especially when you fissure out of defence. Look at the reasons behind your use of these tools. To have the capability to poke and prod at the inner-workings of others, while at times choosing not to, is a gracious display of power.  I hope this makes sense.
