Was it really that obvious that Validar's words cut a bit too deep? Then again, Robin sometimes wondered if his mother possessed a supernatural gift of reading others.

He gave a small chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. "Tr-truly...?" Despite his nervousness, there was a small sense of pride among his features.

That pride quickly fell as he gave a sigh, thinking about Validar's harsh words again. "I understand why, but sometimes I wonder if I'll ever live up to his ideals."

Someone: “Do you ever miss what it was like before?”

“In umbra witch terms, yes. The average height for these witches are seven feet tall or higher. Me, probably being the only male umbra witch… Kinda stunts that growth.” Don’t worry, he isn’t growing any taller anymore. Dia was just venting out his childish feelings about not being tall enough. 

“On Grima’s heart, how!?” Those were some badass ladies. Probably not as badass as his mother, but if the average was seven feet, they must’ve been pretty amazing.

“It still irks me as the only male umbra witch… I’m also the shortest.” Without the the signature gun heels, Akira was still standing at a 6′7 ft tall. Tall for human standards— Short for Umbra Witches. The average height for these witches was 8 feet tall! He was also getting tired of the whole ‘He’s adorable! So tiny!’ comments he’d get from older umbra witches.  “And the fact they still treat me as a kid… When I’m twenty-five.” Did he also mention that he was one of the youngest witches too? 

“You’re considered short?” Robin was considered taller than the average Plegian citizen of his world, but it was nothing compared to Dia’s natural 6″7. Heck, Dia towered over his own father.

“The Umbra Witch ones.” Grima knows he’d like the other to learn how to use those properly. He’s tired of waking up at 2 and trying to keep an eye on his temper.
