The sky seemed symbolic of what I was presently feeling. Though the moon was hidden behind the clouds, and I could not directly touch it or even see it, its light was so prominent and powerful that there was no denying its radiant beauty existed. It was there, for all to see, just like she was here in front of me now. And even though the moon’s prominence also showed us the rain, which many dread, it also provided us with something far greater and worthy of attention. Its light broke through the darkness and made us feel less alone, offering us a lit pathway to lead us out of the rain and back to the place where we felt most safe and comforted. It was an overwhelming feeling to behold, and as such, there was a part of me deep down inside that wanted to cry, not because of some looming pain, but because of the rush of joy that sprung from this moment and that simply had to be let out somehow. Part of me wanted to take her hand and bring her to her feet and just slow dance together as the rain poured over us. We both enjoyed the rain. Another part of me wanted to kiss her, not for lust, but instead, to serve as the wax seal of an envelope that carried the most important letter that could not be risked to slip out and end up within the hands of anyone else other than where it most belonged. However, I did neither of those things, as I recalled what state her heart was in, what place she presently stood, and that this eagerness would do us no good if enacted upon now. I had to be patient. “…I think it would go a lot like this.” I stated with a slightly choked-up tone of confidence. She snapped out of her upward gaze and then cocked her head to the side and looked at me inquisitively. Her eyebrows were furrowed, so I assumed she had lost track of our topic and had found herself lost within her thoughts, like me. “What would go like this?” She asked in an effort to catch back up to where our present reality was at. I turned to face her, there was a smile on my face that tucked itself back in as I spoke. “I think pursuing the love of a lifetime would go a lot like us, right here, in this very moment.” #writer #author #theloveofalifetime #momentstolearnfrom #love

“Don’t let your politeness come out in the form of a lie.” HONEST #48 (Robert Biehn) (read the full blog here: https://www.robertbiehn.com/blog) We are often taught by society and even within our respective beliefs that LIES are acceptable when they are in the form of politeness, as they can create a bridge that transitions into new relationships or prevent bumps in present relationships. However, the reality is that polite lies are the precursor to fatal lies. Now, I know you’re afraid to lose that special person to you, be it a lover, family member, or friend. Or maybe you’re afraid of missing out on an opportunity with someone new, like coworkers or a stranger that could become someone deeply important to you; but, let’s be honest with ourselves…is a cage made of lies really a connection at all? When lying is an acceptable start of a relationship, an acceptable element of an established relationship, then it will inevitably be the consequential end of a relationship too. It’s a delicate and trying task that in its initial execution might feel like a series of losses. Yet, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing the truth. Then, love is love, hope is hope, and life is life…because you are honest. tl;dr Lies beget lies, Truths beget truths, Honesty is humble, As we should be too. What a crazy, epic, incredible day. From having my video team absolutely do an awesome job filming @lyrxofficial at her launch show @MercyLounge to having an informative dinner with industry legends that created the ATT U-verse system (known for being the same system that Netflix and others use) and having meetings and sessions and studios booked solid throughout all next week.
