I was telling my fiance that rather than stressing, I was going to defer my student loans for a year and just pay interest. He said, “Okay, that’s a great plan. Let’s worry about getting you to the UK and getting set up, and then we’ll open up a joint account and tackle it together.” I almost cried.
I’m torn between being absolutely amazed because I never once expected him to take on that burden and being stubborn and saying that he shouldn’t do that. He’s a sweetheart. I told him, “I never expected you to say that.” He just says, “It’s not a problem, I thought that was already a part of the deal.”
He really is sweet. But, poor baby would be such a likely candidate to being taken advantage of. When we discussed finances and how we’d handle them, he was like, “as long as I have some money to buy video games I’ll be alright.” He thought it was standard to take all of his money and give him an allowance lmfao.
