This is a really shitty thing for someone to do. Itās insane to believe that this woman who has literally built and supported business across multiple industry is somehow less capable of becoming a lawyer than literally anyone else who ISNāT a lawyerā¦ not to say that anyone who is a practicing attorney is has the ability to gauge the capability of someone they donāt know, personally. Anyone who isnāt supporting this, is a piece of shit.
You misunderstood the point of this post, let me explain:
As someone who spent money and grueling time to go through law school, take the bar, and become a lawyer, I have a knee-jerk, eye-roll reaction to any statement that anyone *will* be a lawyer when they havenāt yet done any of what it takes. Kim has to first pass Californiaās ābaby barā on first year courses before she is even eligible to take the actual bar, which basically no one who does the apprenticeship route ever passes.
Her dad was a famous lawyer and she has all the resources she wants at her fingertips, and good for her that she wants to take on this challenge. But telling the world that a college drop-out doing an apprenticeship is to definitely be a lawyer three years from now is misleading, and annoying for me to see, thatās all. This profession is not a right, nor a shiny thing you can just buy. Itās a privilege that you have to earn with time, money, and a lot of hard work, and even then requires luck to get.

Today I gave my students a quick presentation on some of the basic considerations for composition, which I am now sharing with you! Iāve given them separate talks about color and tonal value/contrast, which are also super important compositional concerns. (Iāll be sharing those presentations too once I properly format them)
I personally love learning about different compositional techniques. Itās fun to think about the ways that the brain views & sorts images, and how we can trick it into feeling a certain way or looking at certain aspects of an image first! Itās easy to fall into compositional ruts (which I am also guilty of) because a lot of art gets by with mediocre, though serviceable, compositions. If you can generally understand whatās happening in an image then itās generally fine. However, itās the truly great compositions, where everything in the whole image has been considered and āclicksā together, that bump up an illustration to a visual slam dunk. NC Wyeth is one of my favorite artists for this reason: his compositions are rock solid, varied based on the imageās intent, and always enhance the mood or action he is depicting.
