I have the Honour and greatest Pleasure to be able to introduce myself to You. As I am sure you have been made aware, I am Lieutenant Colonel Richard Kidder Meade, currently serving as an Aide-de-Camp under this Excellency, the Commander in Chief of the continental Army - George Washington.

Virginia is my place of Birth, I was educated in England and was made a widower and bereaved parent a few short years after returning to America. I have Years of Experience with Horses in all areas of work and, next to much letter writing, do much work as courier for all Correspondence to and from the camp Headquarters at the moment. Despite my colleagues being nuisances most of the time I would do anything for them.

I will try to answer all questions or tasks you may send my way to the best of my ability, though there may be some things I will not be permitted to answer as not to sacrifice important Intelligence. I am aware of some Persons associated with the Enemy being able to read whatever I send here, so I must be careful.

i admit to using hyperbole for comedic effect, friend, however may i cite: the way you look at and speak to or about laurens and don't hide it in the presence of people not part of the family, attempting to make enemies of the most powerful men this and on the other side of the ocean seemingly for sport by simply being too silly and too good at creative insults, running into batte while either sick, hurt or simply not safe and subsequently getting closer to being captured by the enemy every time. is this enough for you?

do not worry, i do not blame you. afterall you keep the company of your dear laurens, and - however much i love you both - you two are menaces together more than apart.

i will not be forced to decide who is the greater evil of those two, they are very different but a same amount of exhausting to look ensure they kill not themselves or others on accident or on purpose. never would i be able to choose between them. besides, separating them would be cruel, they are like a bonded pair of kittens, who dares to even verbally put something between them will get mauled by teeth who do more damage than you’d like. i’ve seen it happen.
