Was thinking of teaching this form for my class tonight but after throwing a couple more, I think it’s more advanced than beginners may be ready for. What’s something painful someone said to you that had the most impact on who you are? One time I was fired from a job. I had studied online to become a medical transcriptionist and landed my first job. I was not ready for that job and performed poorly at it. The owner of the company called me and pointed out the mistakes I had made and fired me. He was nice enough about it. He told me to keep trying and not give up. It was at the time, devastating. But it taught me what I needed to know. It taught me how to take the job seriously and the importance of what I was doing, which I had not fully grasped before. Once we know and understand, we do better and the next job I landed I did amazingly at. I understood and adjusted to the level of performance that job demanded.
