If God is Our Father, then Satan Must be Our Cousin
I like horror a lot. I talk mostly about The Walten Files here, but i’ll really dump whatever I find interesting here otherwise.

While there’s no explicit narrative evidence to support it, I’ve been meaning to talk about TWF’s use of color in relation to its characters for awhile now. As a series I think it has a tendency to “color-code” a lot of its characters, some probably with narrative relevance and probably some without.
Edd & Molly are the most prominent use of color coding in the series so far. Red is commonly seen as a “supernatural” color, historically at least. A lot of artifacts of supernatural deities and gods that have been recovered have shades of red that can still be seen fading from the structures. Besides that, Red is unique in that it’s the colors humans “notice” the most — it stands out more than any other color.
I’m assuming there’s a very specific reason why Martin chose E&M to be the only spirits colored red — and I think it’s something that will have its meaning revealed until later in the series. There is one theory that I like that kind of goes into this; that being that during the scene in TWF3 where Bon is going crazy, it’s because E&M sort of “hijacked” the animatronic to prevent him from more explicitly reaching Sophie through Bunnyfarm.
Besides the general imagery in the scene, there’s not TOO much else that supports this theory, but it’s one I sort of like anyways. I do however think that it’s likely that this is something that can and probably will happen more explicitly in future episodes. It’s kind of a trope in horror that children are closer to the supernatural on account of just, kinda being children. They don’t have the same kind of “common-sense” or ideas that tune them away from that sort of superstition, for lack of a better word.
Bringing this back to the color thing — I wouldn’t be surprised if E&M’s red coloration is meant to represent just that; a more potent and deeper connection to the supernatural. This comes up with their dual possession of Rocket as well. They also have a completely unique manner of speech when in Wonderland as well, and i’d be surprised if this is just them not being “used” to whatever laws govern Wonderland’s nature considering Susan was able to talk in perfect english with her voice and accent still intact immediately after being killed.
Side note that’s related to what I talked about, this shot still bothers me (complimentary). It’d be one thing if it was just a black censor-bar but the red makes me think about this scene shot more than I probably need to.
Of all of Eva’s tweets this might be the one i’ve been musing over the most since it was posted, for like various reasons.
Very probable Bon Line eva kept repeating during the walten livestream from back in november where Kyle played RE7
Much to think about….

But I wanna punch Bon so baaad.
More than 100 layers, the majority is of Bon! Ugh.
Took five hours!!!!!!! OFFICIALLY MY LONGEST EVER!
Reblogs are awesomely appreciated ❤️
Speaking of Bon, this is probably my favorite teaser since Sophie and Rose putting up missing posters for Jack.
So much to overanalyze here: Who’s desk is that? Why is he seemingly crouched below it? Is he hiding from someone? Stalking them? Probably a placeholder, but the background does look fairly odd for the interior of a restaurant — does this take place in the bunker? He seems to be more withered here as well, which could support that. Idk, I just really like how freakish he looks here and how poor of an attempt at hiding himself this would be if that’s what he’s doing.
Alternatively: This is Felix’s desk and Bon crawls up to it like a fucking mutt when he needs something because why not.
I’m of the walten-opinion that “Bon” not having any immediate or close relationship with the Waltens in his human(?) life is more interesting than if he did. I like to imagine he sort of happened upon them post mortem, most likely Edd & Molly being the first people he probably sees in Wonderland besides himself, for whatever reason — and for some reason, he just becomes infatuated with the family and their situation. I think it’d leave more to pick apart with him as an individual as to why he’s so freakishly obsessed with this particular group of people than if it was just unfinished business or something.
Ok, but this reminded me of a theory I read about Bon being Jason Pooltrick?
I’m like 99% sure this is just supposed to be a funny hoax that’s sort of like an ongoing joke that circulates more on TWF twitter. Brightonclub in particular really likes pushing that theory as a joke (it is hilarious.) To my knowledge Jason Pooltick is kind of just a character that exists to add a smidge of world building and doesn’t have much of anything relevant to the actual story — which could change obviously.

Sophie and Jenny’s Bunnyfarm portraits are still evergreen to me, even with how cool the character art has become now.
Sophie and Jenny’s portraits immediately communicate to me exactly what their personalities are it’s actually kind of insane. I don’t know if Martin intended them to be so striking, but it works.
