Truth or Dare
(A/N) hey look yâall wanted more choni i am merely delivering what the masses want. also iâm drunk. hi
Read it on ao3
Pairing: Toni Topaz x Cheryl Blossom
Word Count: 1,817
Rating: M
Warnings: a little smoochinâ, a lotta gay overused tropes
Summary:Â âThis is childish,â Cheryl says before taking a slow sip of her stupidly strong mixed drink. âScared Iâll dare you to kiss me, Bombshell?â Toni taunts, drinking her beer with a smirk. Cheryl rolls her eyes. âScared Iâll kiss you and youâll be begging for more.â
OR: Toni and Cheryl are at a party. Things happen.
So, to be honest, Cheryl doesnât quite hate Toni Topaz as much as sheâd initially thought. The bitch was irritating, yeah, and seemed to love teasing Cheryl. That much hasnât changed since their somewhat friendship began. (Not that sheâs complaining; she loves her banter with Toni just as much as she loves their sort of serious deep emotional conversations about their lives.)
Jughead, Betty, Kevin, Archie, and Veronica are, naturally, ALL OVER their sudden alliance as soon as Cheryl sits down with them at lunch. Well, sat down next to Toni at the end of the table, where there was hardly any room to begin with. This lack of room resulted in her sort of sitting on Toniâs lap, and maybe Cheryl kind of liked the pink blush that darkened her cheeks.

Subtlety
It started with odd glance across the room or the flash of a grin caught in the corner of his eye. Â The bitching across the halls all but stopped, something was up.
Then the incident, that sent Kevinâs gay-dar into overdrive, happenedâŚ
Lunch had been its perfectly normal clique orientated ritual ; Kevin was sat with bughead and varchie dealing with their usual drama filled lives when none other than the Cheryl blossom decided to take a seat at the table, despite it being a rarity this was not outside of the Redheaded queen of dramaâs usual behaviour. Then it got weird. Â Â
âand what might we have done to be graced with a visit from non other than Cheryl blossom herself ?â veronica had questioned a tad sarcastically  before popping a grape In her mouth,
ânothing in particular my vixen friend,â Kevin almost spat out his food, this was weird.
âwait,â Jughead had scoffed âthat was it ? no bitchy comeback or sarcastic reply?â
âNopeâ she had SMILED popping the p, what was happening?
âwell this is new,â betty had added optimistically, quirking an eyebrow.
After that the group had carried on their previous conversation (something about Archie wanting to work on his music , Kevin wasnât really paying attention at this point) with Cheryl adding to it here and there, something was definitely off. Â Then it happened.
A light smile adorned her face as she watched someone walk by and a blush started to creep up her neck as she completely zoned out of the conversation. Â
âugh, I my spoons bent,â miss lodge had complained sliding out of her seat, â Iâll have to get a new one.â
â A bit like meâŚâ Cheryl had smiled loud enough for the whole group to hear eyes still fixed on the person. Crash! Kevin whipped round to see Toni Topaz bent over her fallen food tray having walked into a pole, Grinning like a 5 year old.
The fuck was happening?
It was only when Jugheadâs loud âwhat?â stopped Cheryl smiling at toni that she looked back towards the group her face paling, âoh um got to go toodles, â and with that she was off.
âWell that was strangeâŚâ
Kevin was on a mission. It was 5th period, English.  Kevin was two rows behind his target- Toni Topaz.  Something was up with her and it was his job as an honorary gay to find  out whatâŚ
Toni walked out of English a slight skip in her step, she couldnât stop grinning as she rounded the corner and ducked into the janitors closest.
And  then there she was, fiery red hair,  eyes dragging up Toniâs
form, lips twisting into a  small smile when she met the smaller girls gaze.  â why hello cha cha,â she stepped closer with each word,
âwhat can I do forâŚâ her breath was gentle against her lips âyou?â Â
Toni felt  a cocky Smirk spread over her face as she watched the redheads velvet eyes glance down at her lips and search her face with need before delving into hers, âwell miss bombshell,â she leant forward and whispered, breath hot against Cherylâs ear, âthere is only one thing I would like you to doâŚ.â Cherylâs breathing was unsteady as Toni met her gaze,  âme.â Her pupils spread like blots of ink. Â
It was an earth shattering kiss that made Toniâs kneeâs weak with anticipation. Theyâre lips moulded together perfectly as she backed her up against the wall. Â Nipping at her bottom lip and Chastely kissing her before trailing kisses along her knife edged jaw line; seeking out her pulse point as Cheryl weaved her fingers into the her hair. Breath hitching when Cheryl let out a satisfied moan As Toni sucked and nipped feverishly at her neck.
âoh my god!â Â Kevin yelped from behind them as pushed the open the door and slammed it closed again.
âoh shitâ Cheryl hissed âwhat if he says something?â
Toni smoothed down her girlfriends top  âheâll be fine weâll just tell him the truth, heâll understand.â  She gave Cheryl one final peck before venturing into the hallway to find Kevin and drag him into the closest. Â
âI mean Iâve had my suspicions but I never thought youâd actuallyâ he smiled stumbling slightly over his words as he gestured to them. Cheryl had her arm protectively wrapped round Toniâs waist.
âHow did? When?â Â
âTwo weeks ago,â Toni smiled âwe didnât want anyone to know because well..â Â
âmy mother is an unaccepting prostitute who has no concept of love.â Cheryl finished. Â
âso this closest became our little meet up after school,â The small girl gestured, â so you just come in here to hook up?â he grinned
âwell not exactly it started out because we would wait in here so we wouldnât be seen leaving togetherâŚbecause that would be Sapphicâ Cheryl reddened slightly at Toniâs words, âthan it got a little more âŚheated.â
okay so not my best but its a Choni fic and we are desperate for them so i hope you enjoyed. (chip sandwiches)
Love, Choni
Just a little choni one shot picking up from the diner scene from 2x14Â
Cheryl furiously wipes at the tears welling in her eyes with her free hand. She canât believe she just told sapphic serpent Toni Topaz the one secret sheâs been keeping for almost five years. Sapphic, maybe thatâs why she told her, Cheryl laughs sourly to herself. She takes a moment to gather her composure before snipping away with as much spite her voice can muster which isnât much at the moment, to be honest. âDonât expect this to be a regular thing, you just caught me at an emotional time.â She primps and preens, cleaning the smudged mascara, wiping away the lone tear stain that fell down her cheek, all in an effort to save face. This was not signature Cheryl Bombshell behavior, and she refused to let one evening of insecurity destroy the fierce, stone cold personality she spent years building up. All for what? Cause sheâs feeling lonely. Get over it. Cheryl Blossom, top of Riverdale Highâs social ladder canât be bothered to feel such things. Sheâs the âitâ girl, the queen bee. People in her position arenât supposed to be sad and lonely, they are the ones surrounded by followers, people who want to be her, to date her, however superficial it may be. Cheryl may have spent the whole evening with Toni, but that didnât make them friends. Blossomâs donât associate with snakes. Although, Cheryl wonders why now sheâs so attached to the family name when she was so eager to be stript of it just the other week. A defense mechanism perhaps, after the way she opened up so quickly, so earnestly, so willingly. Five years she Cheryl had kept that secret. Half the people who knew were dead, leaving only herself and her mother. Lord knows Mrs. Blossom wasnât going to be spreading this gossip. She had been so careful for five years, and all it took was one evening with some Southside serpent to unveil her deepest darkest memory. Cheryl felt uneasy thinking about what this fact meant. The truth, her truth was out there, in the hands of a snake. All the internal musings and the physical reactions screaming to tread lightly, rebuild the walls, made Cheryl jump into defense mode. âDonât expect this to be a regular thing, you just caught me at an emotional time.â Her voice, though missing its usual bite, never wavered. Strong enunciated words that cut the air between them. âI wouldnât expect any less.â Toni pulls back, arms up in mock surrender. The way she reacts catches Cheryl off guard. Much like in the restroom earlier that morning, Toni seemed unphased by Cherylâs venom, immune to the power of her hard stare and cutthroat dialogue. Cheryl merely swallows hard in response, her composure once again cracking under Toniâs kind gaze. âGood.â Any further attempt at words would only give way to the dam of emotions rushing through her head. âLet me ask you this though, while you are in this emotional state,â Toni begins, slowly inching closer to Cheryl, âwhy do you feel the need to shut everyone out? Including yourself." She adds those two words softly, having a good idea of the kind of internal struggle Cheryl must be having with herself regarding this information. She had been there herself once. It was so blunt, Cheryl wasnât used to getting spoken to like that, in a way that was both direct and stern, but also held so much empathy. Few people ever dared speak to Cheryl like that, Veronica and Josie for example. However, both of them lacked the balance between straight shooter and caring friend that Toni expressed in literally every word sheâs spoken to her this evening. 'Youâre sensationalâ rings in Cherylâs ears, those two words echoing like a mantra in her mind. A word sheâs never heard anyone describe her as before. Sensational, producing a startling effect, strong reaction, or intense interest. What makes Toni so interested in Cheryl in the first place? Could she tell she had a secret to hide? Her gaydar somehow sensing there was more to Cherylâs story than she let on. And why does she care that sheâs closed off? She wants nothing more than to angrily throw these questions Toniâs way, but the soft ringing of 'youâre not loveless, youâre not deviantâ stops her. If she could just believe those words for a moment⌠"Iâm scared.â A whisper. The truth. Two words that show more vulnerability than sheâs allowed all evening. Cheryl inhales deeply, the feeling of wet tears rolling down her face, and Toniâs warm hand once again wrapped around her own is all she can focus on. Itâs a precarious moment between the two of them. Sitting in the middle of the counter at Popâs diner, surrounded by students and families enjoying their dinner. Cheryl feels both isolated and encompassed from the weight of her words. The contact between them acting as an axis between her own burden, and Toniâs liberation. A transfer of power in process. Cheryl takes a few moments to regulate her physical reactions, steady her breathing, relax her shoulders, unclench her jaw. A wave of relief washes down her spine allowing her to sit up straighter. Meanwhile Toni is silent and patient. Her thumb slowly gliding over Cherylâs knuckles. Her gentle gaze fixated on Cherylâs eyes, waiting for contact. Two more words leave Cherylâs mouth in that moment, and sheâs shocked to hear them, by the look on Toni's face more so than she is, âhelp me." Is it a question or a command? Itâs hard to say. Inflection teetering in the edge, the crack in Cherylâs voice merely adding to the confusion. Two words that reveal more about Cheryl as a person, than perhaps the whole story she just told. Help me. Cheryl was not one to ask for help from anyone, a strong independent woman who saw others as unnecessary obstacles, or so everyone would think. Little did they know about the scared and lonely girl she really was deep down inside. Those two words proved just that. Toni closes the remaining space between them, which at this point wasnât much, sitting up against Cheryl, thighs and shoulders pressed together. She cautiously wraps an arm around Cherylâs waist and waits for the reaction. Anyoneâs first guess is an outburst, Cheryl violently distancing herself from the girl spewing obscenities like 'keep your sapphic serpent hands off meâ but she reacts in the last way people would expect. Cheryl leans her head on Toniâs shoulder and draws at the hand resting on her hip. If it werenât for the fact they were still sitting on stools, Cheryl would have fully turned into the embrace, needing a hug right now more than anything, but sheâll take whatever contact she can get at this point. Itâs quiet. Nothing but the muffled sounds of the other diner patrons mulling in the background. Cheryl appreciates the silence, wanting to revel in Toniâs company rather than begin an intense therapy session. They sit for what feels like hours, holding on to each other, no words passed between them. In reality, only a few minutes fall off the clock, but itâs enough. Toni breaks the silence accidentally, by slurping the rest of her milkshake. Cheryl raises her head, giving Toni a meek glare, to which Toni quietly mouths "sorry." Cheryl rolls her tongue across her bottom lip, words caught, and sheâs not sure if she should voice them. "You know, youâre not so badâŚfor a serpent.â Cheryl adds as an afterthought, still trying to hold herself on a higher power position despite the low sheâs been riding on through this evening. âThatâs almost a compliment.â Toni teases, lightening the mood around them. âYou should be so lucky to receive such high praise from the queen of Riverdale.â Cheryl mocks along. Playing up her pretentious nature by fanning herself. Toni steals a fry from Cherylâs plate, as hers were already eaten, and points it in Cherylâs direction using it like a wand for emphasis. âNot so fast, queen of North side sure. But where Iâm from,â referring to the south side, âI run things.â âI thought Jughead was your fearless leader.â Cheryl counters. âPfft so he thinks. Iâm the one really in control of those boys.â Toni alludes to her gang of misfits, which includes Fangs and Sweetpea. Cherylâs almost impressed. âSo, we have more in common than youâd think.â She muses with a small grin, tongue caught between her teeth. Toni finally takes a bite of the fry sheâs been waving around. She mulls over Cherylâs words. Sheâs not sure if she intended them to be so, dare she think, flirtatious, but given the context of their earlier conversation, Toni entertains the thought for a moment. âSeems like it.â She steals another fry, narrowly escaping Cherylâs unappreciative swat. With all the heaviness out of the air, the two continue to enjoy their meal in each otherâs company. Laughter ringing out every now and then. They end up staying and talking for hours, the crowd thinning around them until they were the only two left in the diner. âWeâre about to close up ladies, anything I can do for you before you go?â The friendly voice of Pop Tate pulls them out of their conversation. They look around and notice the empty tables for the first time. Cherylâs almost embarrassed about the situation, but internally sheâs elated that someone actively chose to spend that much time with her. She canât remember the last time she went out with a friend, maybe thatâs because Cheryl didnât really have any. Sure, there was Josie, and even Veronica at times, but they both exist within other tighter knit relationships, Josie with the pussycats, though less so as of late, she did happen to be spending an awful lot of time with Reggie, and did she see her with Kevin earlier? And Veronica had Betty, Archie, and even Jughead. They exist without her. Since Jasonâs death, Cheryl hasnât really had anyone to just hang out with. Itâs like the only time anyone comes around is in the aftermath if a tragedy. They came around after hearing about Jasonâs death, they surround her after Nick St. Clair tries to rape her, they even save her from herself when she tries to commit suicide, but where are they when there isnât some outright tragedy to stir their concern? Why doesnât anyone want to just be with Cheryl in the regular old, mundane moments? The real question Cheryl should be pondering right now rather, was why did Toni want to spend those uneventful times with her? When Toni first spoke to her in the bathroom this morning, she didnât know Cherylâs tragic backstory. At the movies, she didnât ask her to join her out of pity, despite Cheryl revealing some rather sad information. No, she actually wanted to spend time with Cheryl. âShould we call it a night?" Cheryl asks timidly. Itâs late, but she doesnât want the night to end. They obviously have to leave here, so maybe it is best to pack it up and go home. Toni slumps back on her stool. "I guess we should.â Thereâs a sadness to her tone that Cheryl doesnât pick up on. It seems she didnât want the night to end just yet either. They gather up their things, pay their tabs, and exit the diner, the bell behind them loudly ringing in the quiet night. Toni walks with Cheryl to her car. âHere give me your phone.â She commands Cheryl holding her hand out. Cheryl does as sheâs told, silently eyeing Toni the whole time. Toni enters her number in the new contact screen. âSeriously a snake.â Cheryl laughs heartily upon seeing the snake emoji at the end of Toniâs name. âWhat I figured you were onto that sort of thing.â Toni shrugs laughing along. âCheryl Bombshellâ  She was definitely going to add the cherry and bomb emojis behind Cherylâs name in her phone, just you wait. âWe should do this again sometime. That is of youâre ever willing to associate with a serpent.â Toni suggests, understanding the conflict of social hierarchy. Cheryl hums and pretends to mull it over, not wanting to seem too eager, but the wide smile never leaves her face. âI think that can be arranged." They stand in an awkward silence for a moment, both unsure of how to say goodbye. "Drive safe.â Toni speaks up pointing to the car behind Cheryl. Cheryl turns around, âoh right, you too.â She opens her door, though not moving to get in. âThanks for tonight.â Cheryl speaks in earnest. âAnytime.â Toni nods. âIâd hug you, but Iâm not sureââ and before she can continue that thought, Cheryl cuts her off by wrapping her arms around Toniâs shoulders and burying her face in her neck. Toni reciprocates the action, wrapping her arms around Cherylâs waist. Cheryl clings to Toniâs shirt longer than she probably should, but Toni doesnât think anything of it, understanding that Cheryl needs this. When they break apart, Toni throws a wink Cherylâs way. âDonât forget to text me so Iâve got your number too.â She points to the phone in Cherylâs hand. âIâll see you tomorrow." And with those words, Cheryl nods and sinks into her car. She doesnât even wait till she gets home to type out a message. âIâm thinking, lunch tomorrow, I just might be able to make time for a snake.â She puts the phone down and starts the car, not expecting a response right yet, but just before she can put the car in reverse, her phone buzzes.
Toni Topaz lights up on the screen: Sounds like a date Miss Bombshell
The three dots signaling Toni was typing again show up under the text bubble, and Cheryl can feel the nerves rising with every passing second.
Relax, I mean it sounds like a plan, poor choice of wordsâŚunless youâre into it ;P  kidding, but I had a really nice time tonight, hoping we can be friends?
Relief washes over Cheryl, not that she was opposed to the idea of dating Toni, but she could really just use a friend at the moment and sheâs glad to know they are on the same page. Yea Iâd like that, Iâd like that a lot. Cheryl replies before pulling out of the parking lot and making her way back home. A huge smile plastered to her face. In that moment she didnât feel so alone.

The thing thatâs really heartbreaking about Veronica telling Cheryl she couldnât come to the cabin (even though it was rude of Cheryl to invite herself like that) is how desperate Cheryl is to be included because she doesnât have any friends.
Think about it, whenâs the last time we saw Cheryl with Gia and Tina (or whatever her minions names were) or even her with Josie? I think itâs safe to assume aside from her brother, Cheryl never really had any true friends. As much as sheâs cold and cruel to the core four, you can tell she sees the friendship they all have and sheâs insanely jealous, and she wants nothing more than to be a part of that. Then comes the events at Sweetwater River where they save her, and Cheryl must think, if only for a moment that things would change, they are finally gonna be her friends. But no, they all leave her to go to the jubalee instead. Imagine how devastated Cheryl must have been on that moment. No wonder she went crazy and torched Thornhill. Sheâs desperate for love and to be cared for, and the only time she can seem to get that attention is when tragedy happens. (Susiside attempt, rape attempt, etc.)
Now this doesnât go without recognizing Cherylâs faults, she could defentily change her attitude and be nicer towards people. But given all that we now know about Cheryl, itâs understandable why she acts the way she does. Again, not excusing her behavior, just an observation. After everything sheâs been through, Cheryl still probably thinks of Archie, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead as her friends because they have at least shown her decency in these tragic moments. So that kind of rejection (on top of the whole couples thing, because of what her mother said to her just that morning) was probably devastating for Cheryl. No wonder why she was so quick to open up to Toni. She was probably so broken and tired of feeling unwanted, that sheâd give anyone who was willing to show her basic decency a chance.
okay hereâs what gets me about choni: cheryl has literally never opened up to anyone on riverdale before, not one person, and thatâs all because everyone makes her feel like a monster. no one has tried to understand her, the core four has used her as a means to an end, and her own mother called her loveless and emotionally anoerxic. here comes toni though and all that changes. suddenly cheryl realizes that people can genuinley care about her without having an ulterior motive and she wants love so bad that she immediately breaks down to toni at the movie theatre. toni is an affectionate person, she cares about everything and everyone but she relates to cheryl and sees that cheryl needs someone to support her, she respects cherylâs boundaries and literally called her sensational. none of your ships can compare and thatâs the truth.
I think that watching Cheryl open up about liking girls and how her mother shunned her for it and was unsupportive really tells a lot about Cherylâs personality which I find important for people to watch and understand.
Due to context of what Cheryl said in this episode, she seemed to be a decent happy kid before her mother found out about her and Heather. Yet once her mother was calling her names and bullying her she shut herself out and made her loving heart cold so nobody could hurt her again. Sheâs only mean because sheâs scared of people close to her turning their backs on her, which is quite understandable in lgbt kids who are in unsupportive households. Iâd also make sense that not only she shut her self down , but she hid her sexuality because if her own mother didnât accept it why should she or anyone else. My theory is that Cheryl is a lesbian and not bisexual but only was with guys to seem straight and please her mother and to avoid being bullied. Hiding who she is is causing her to lose herself and is slowly breaking her and Iâm glad sheâs on a path to fix that but people need to remember to openly support lgbt kids who are in unsupportive homes and make sure that they are loved because after awhile of hiding it, you donât feel like yourself anymore and itâs hard to feel happy.
things cheryl has went through:Â
her brother and only friend is fucking dead
why? because her dad fucking KILLED himÂ
and then her dad commited suicide (???) which she possibly had to witnessÂ
her mom continued to favor her dead murderous dad over cheryls wellbeingÂ
dick st clair tried to rape her if u didnt think her life was already traumatizing enoughÂ
she survived a suicide attempt ?? not to mention her mom basically TOLD her to kill herselfÂ
literally, thank god for toni for finally giving cheryl the time of day. this girl just needs a hug

⢠Cheryl Behind The Scenes W/ Madelaine S2 Riverdale â˘
So for anyone who hasnât seen this yet I wanted to post it. It doesnât give much insight into the next season unfortunately. However, that is to be expected because actors are put under a super strict secret keeping contract haha.
AlthoughâŚ.IâM LOVING THE NEW HAIR STYLE! I really think that the new hairstyle Madelaine is rocking for season 2 Cheryl is super cute. AlsoâŚ.pay close attention to her costumes.
They are darker and look to be less uptight. Are we gonna get bad girl Cheryl season 2???? Perhaps we will. Would you be down for a bad girl Cheryl?
â˘Toni Topaz & Cheryl Blossomâ˘
Alrighty I am back with more news! So all Riverdale super fans know that a new character named Toni Topaz is going to appear in the new season of Riverdale on October 11th. We know from the comics and from the news spreading like wildfire that Toni Topaz is bisexual. AND is one of the possible love interests for the one and only Miss Cheryl Blossom.Â
Vanessa Morgan has been officially announced to play the new Southside Serpent.Â
So far we know these things about Toni...
SHEâS GONNA HAVE THAT PURPLE HAIR! Vanessa will rock the purple locks that Toni is known for in the comics. That purple hair will be pretty awesome to see, and I canât be the only one who is excited for it.Â
The character is apparently the ONLY female in the Southside Serpents gang. She is the only females in the gang, which makes me think that sheâs gonna be pretty badass. Also, she is supposedly very similar jughead personality wise.Â
Toni Topaz is most definitely bisexual. Vanessa Morgan has made it clear to everyone that she will play this character to her fullest. Vanessa told Bustle, âMy character is bisexual. This is one hundred percent important."
She will be trouble for the Bughead ship (Betty x Jughead). One of the first things we learned about the character was that she would possibly cause problems for Bughead. This riled up the Bughead shippers and for good reason. However, it seems like from more recent interviews Toniâs attention will be spent on someone else.Â
Thatâs right! Now we get to bring in Cheryl Blossom. TONS of people have been wondering if Cheryl Blossom and Toni Topaz will end up together in the end. This theory first sprung up when Madelaine Petsch announced that she will be getting a new love interest in season 2 and that this new love interest has never been seen before on the show. Also, that the love interest may in fact be a girl! This got a lot of people super excited to see a possibly bisexual Cheryl. Bringing it back to this interview where she says this new love interest is just...different.Â
Different could refer to gender, or to social status. Another thing to bring up is the fact that when asked by Bustle which character she would want Toni to date, Vanessa specifically answered âCheryl Blossom.â And the reasoning behind it is....âBecause Madelaine Petsch is my best friend in real life.â How cute! Vanessa is down with the idea of Cheryl and Toni having a romance! Now why wouldnât that send the shippers hearts soaring. Sheâs already posted their âMrs. & Mrs.â picture, what else could you want?Â
A post shared by Vanessa Morgan (@vanessamorgan) on Aug 18, 2017 at 12:00pm PDT
Vanessa also liked a comment that was made which also makes us think long and hard about the actual possibility of this new ship becoming canon in season 2.Â
Bringing it back to Madelaine letâs not forget about what she told justjaredjr.com, âI hope she explores a love interest and explores sexuality a little bit more â and isnât necessarily vanilla â and wants to explore all grounds of sexuality. That would be interesting to see.â Do you notice the emphasis on the isnât necessarily vanilla part of this quote? This could also be referring to Veronica. However, given the new evidence that has popped up it could lean either to a Cheronica shipping or a....what do we call them? How about Choni for now.Â
Who in the world knows at this point what will happen. I just hope that Cheryl finds a lovely person to be happy with. Who do you think it will be? Veronica? Toni? Someone else entirely?! Iâm interested to see how things will turn out in season two of Riverdale.Â
⢠Cheryl Love Interest Update â˘
So I am back to spread a new interview that just popped up two days ago on the Entertainment Tonight youtube channel.Â
This interview is similar to other ones that Madelaine Petsch has done before, however in this interview us fans finally get more details on that âunexpected love interestâ that will be appearing in season 2 of Riverdale.Â
In the interview Madelaine suggests that the two characters have similar tastes and possibly natures. However she does say that the love interest is a NEW character. She also shares that the love interest is not âthe typical thing you would expect for a young girl.â What could this mean?? Here are some ideas from people who commented on the youtube video.Â
Yana.K suggested that this new love interest could possibly be Toni Topaz or Nick St.Clair (Veronicaâs ex-boyfriend). There are many genuine reasons why these two could be on the small growing list of who might become Cheryl Blossomâs lover.Â
Starting with Toni Topaz, the girl Jughead meets at Southside High. Toni Topaz was first introduced to the Riverdale fans as someone who could cause trouble for the ship Bughead (bettyxjughead). This is the major thing that most people remember about Toni, but it was also said that they would be exploring Toniâs bisexuality. That opens the character of Toni Topaz up to having a female love interest, such as Cheryl. With the massive hints given by Madelaine Petsch that Cherylâs new love interest may be female, many as speculating that it may be Toni Topaz. I do not know how much these two would have in common, but Toni Topaz definitely fills the description of being âdifferent.â Toni is a Southside girl and Cheryl is the ex-head cheerleader of Riverdale High. How much different could they be?
The other person that was mentioned in the comments section was Nick St. Clair, who is Veronicaâs ex-boyfriend. Now the major reason this thought popped up in peoples heads was because of what Madelaine said about the new love interest being not what you would expect for a young girl. Nick St. Clair is said to be older than Veronica by a good amount, which makes him an older man (maybe?) Not too much older, but an older guy is still an older guy. They may have similar tastes in things because Nick St. Clair sounds like a wealthy name. Perhaps they have similar ways of judging other people? Who knows?Â
There were more comments about the new love interest being an older man or a girl. However, I think it could possibly be an older woman as well. Wouldnât that be very very different for a young girl? An older woman would honestly probably shock the whole Riverdale gang once they found out. It would be interesting to see. There are a lot of people rooting for a bisexual or even a lesbian Cheryl. I would love to see it as well.Â
This comment really does explain what a lot of people are thinking, which is why I included it.Â
However, the contenders are still on the list. So far weâve got Toni Topaz and Nick St. Clair. BUT! Hold on, is there one more person to add to this list? Apparently so.Â
What am I saying? Yes, apparently Hiram Lodge is on that list now. People are making jokes about this pairing, which could just be jokes, but as we know nothing is impossible in Riverdale. More like nothing is impossible for the Blossom family. If this would happen that would be almost worse than Archie x Grundy (ew). Hiram is technically a new character just like Toni and Nick, so this may be the case. However icky it would be, it could happen.Â
The list so far: Toni Topaz, Nick St.Clair, Hiram Lodge, someone else?

When You Know You Truly Love Someone
You do not realize it until they are out of your reach. You realize that you are in love with them when you canât see them. When you miss them all the time. When your heart feels like itâs broken, yet you havenât dated yet. When you canât stop thinking of them. When you smile because of them. When what you look forward to every day is seeing them. When their hugs are the best damn things in this world. When a single kiss makes you feel like you are flying. When your heart never slows its rapid beating around them. When you hate seeing them cry. When you get super jealous but not suspicious. When there is nothing that they could do to make you not love them. When their flaws are what you love most. When you just want them to be happy. Because Iâm your eyes no matter what they deserve to be happy. Even if they arenât with you.
Because their happiness means more to you than your own does.
