Riverdale Fandom Love Meme

So it’s been forever since I logged into this account, but Riverdale fandom is kind of a mess right now, for multiple reasons. The best thing about any media is often it’s fandom, and how our love for the same thing creates bonds and art and discussion and fun. Everyone has a right to be negative right now, but let’s not let the writers ruin things for us, they don’t deserve it!

Something non-fandom you love: I LOVE MUSIC. I can talk for days and days about music. I love looking for new music on Spotify. My current fav artists are SZA, Dua Lipa and Banks

One of your fave movies/music/books (type or specific): I dont really have a fav movie but i love comedy. Electronic, pop, r&b music is my jam. Fangirl is my fav book (pretty much describes everyone on tumblr)

How do you participate in fandom? (i.e do you squee, make or consume fandom content, etc.): mainly squee but sometimes i make memes because why not. i also make picture collages and boards

For content creators (ficwriters, fanartists, etc.) are you open to collaboration?: if you have a great sense of humour, you can collaborate with me to make memes

What you want to get out of your time in Riverdale fandom: Making a ton of friends. I feel like i cant connect with my friends irl because no one really loves what i love. The riverdale fandom actually understands my emotions and thats what i love about this fandom. Everyone is sooooo supportive

A hope for/something you want to see happen in Season 2:

I would love to see more proactive measures taken in terms of the characters’ mental health issues, especially in Betty’s case. (and of course I want to see more bughead, as we all do)

Harry Styles, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Criminal Minds, Shameless, New Girl, The Good Place, Gilmore Girls, AHS, The Office, Parks & Rec, and basically any other show on Netflix :)

Harry Styles, photography, books, being vocal about social justice, poetry, DOGS, being the most lazy, and painting

One of your fave movies/music/books (type or specific): 

I’m a huge Harry Styles girl, so his music is definitely some of my favorite. I also am into alternative music- Rex Orange County is really good. I’m into memoirs at the moment, and am currently reading “Reasons to Stay Alive” by Matt Haig. I’m not very well-versed in movies, but I’d love for someone to lmk which movies are worth watching!

How do you participate in fandom? (i.e do you squee, make or consume fandom content, etc.): 

I’m really active in terms of reblogging other users’ content, and I also create a lot of my own content rather regularly!

What you want to get out of your time in Riverdale fandom: 

I would love to meet people through this platform who share my love and passion for fictional characters. I’ve witnessed many people make great friends through this fandom, so I know just how possible it is- I’ve always sorta just been too timid and awkward to make friends without the assistance of a system like this one! I really could use some friends right now in my life, and hope I can make some amazing ones through this platform! Overall, I just want to spread love and positivity, and surround myself with mutuals who feel the same! :)

Favorite Moment in Season 1: the bughead fight in ep 10 and the reconciliation afterwards. the fight was a lil cringe but overall i liked how they worked out their fears/issues. it made me ship bugehad even more.

A hope for/something you want to see happen in Season 2: betty with the serpents/jugheads southside friends and cheryl being happy :)

Something non-fandom you love: writing, which is kinda fandom, and makeup :) One of your fave movies/music/books (type or specific): im into teen romance, which is kinda cringe but im a hopeless romantic and a teen so.. im obssessed with horror movies and have read a couple horror books. music, im all over the place. i love ed sheeran, blink 182, halsey, sleeping with sirens, demi lovato. see?
