Sometimes i can't help but notice that every so often a tumblr post meant to be "criticising the lack of media literacy/common sense" is actually just attacking autistic people for not being able to read between the lines and magically understand vagueness...

It really makes me realise how many "autism advocates" will not actually care for those with higher support needs or more overt autistic traits or more developmental delays or more learning difficulties...

To clarify im not saying this should excuse autistic people for having poor media literacy, what im saying is that some people's posts are worded like a DIRECT criticism of literally textbook autistic traits making it seem like we choose to be unable to pick up on social cues or be unable to pick up on hidden meanings of things
