Though we never thought that we would have to say this, we have made the decision to close the rp. After months of trying to combat inactivity, and unfortunately as the two year anniversary of Rivals’ opening a little over a month away, the admin team has come to the conclusion that this is the right choice for the group. 

Last week we made the suggestion that if any members are interested in taking part in a discord server, we would happily open one. If anyone would like to stay in touch this way, please let us know! 

We hope to reopen Rivals if there is expressed interest in being active as a group again, but as of right now, there has not been enough reason to continue the rp as normal in the face of glaring issues. We understand that all members have been busy with school, work, and countless other real life priorities, and we obviously want those to come first before anything.  

As many of you may have noticed, activity on the dash has slowed down considerably-- this is due to many factors, but mostly, all of us are just a lot busier than we have been in the past and don’t have the time or energy to be active in the roleplay.

A couple of months ago, the main got an ask about opening a roleplay-wide discord server, and it got positive feedback, so I would like to explore the possibility of starting one. I absolutely refuse to close this roleplay, and the vibe I get from the members is that they’d like to be more active but just don’t have enough time. I figure that a discord server is a great option-- that way, we can stay updated with each other and plot and still be part of the group without necessarily having to post lengthy threads as often. 

The name of the game is keeping me updated. I understand that a lot of you are busy and on hiatus and because you’re upfront with me and let me know, I’m absolutely fine with giving you hiatuses and letting you live your lives. And while I know that you’re busy and haven’t ghosted, I don’t think the rest of the rp is aware of that, and that can make coming online very upsetting, because there is the impression that it is inactive and people have lost interest and left, which isn’t the case.

If you are interested in joining a server, please let me know. If there is enough interest, I will set one up promptly!

We’d love for you to join! The only difference in the multi muse part is that if a mun as multiple characters in the group, they’re free to include them all in one blog instead of having separate blog for each. We started to give that option because we have a high character limit and some members had expressed that having all of their characters in one place would be easier for them. Interactions are otherwise perfectly normal, there’s still only a single character being written in each thread as per usual. I hope that explanation helps!

Our wc page is archived here, and we’re currently working on a new stats page! Because the group is so large, we just wanted to make sure it was up to date and are remaking it. If you have any questions about anything, we’d be happy to explain anything directly!
