People should realize that roleplayers are going to write canon characters how they see them, not to how other people see them.

Some people like to be canon compliant with their muses. Some people like to take a canon divergent approach. Both are completely valid. Everyone has a different view on things and that’s the beauty of art whether it be a book, a tv show, a movie, a video game etc. Fandom should be a place where people come together and appreciate the series (or pick apart canon, whatever float your boat.)

The wrong thing to do is tell someone you don’t agree with their headcanons or interpretation, especially if you write that muse yourself. It gives off a message of not liking duplicates and comes off as a bit snooty.

If you don’t like how someone writes a canon character, ignore them and move on. Or maybe even embrace their differences and ask more about their headcanons. Do not send hate or be rude to others. It’s why people leave the RPC and why it’s getting smaller and smaller with the passing of time.

Aoi reached to scratch Tsuki’s chin. The Umbreon purred at his attention before looking at Blastoise. He yipped a greeting before moving over to the Blastoise, sniffing him.

“I’m Aoi. It is very nice to meet you.”

It was always nice to meet trainers who took good care of their Pokemon.

Blastoise looked down to the Umbreon, tilting its head with curiosity and a warm look to his eyes. Blastoise allowed the Umbreon to sniff him as Blue moved his eyes from his Blastoise and the Umbreon to Aoi. "I'm Blue, Blue Oak. It's a pleasure to meet you, Aoi." Blue gave a saluting wave, a signature smirk plastering across his face.

@timeandflowers wanted a random starter for Mallow.

“Oh, my apologies, miss. I wasn’t watching where I was going.” Blue genuinely apologized to the other, being quite new to the Alola region. He’s gathering information for his Pokedex as he held a hand out in order to pull the other up off the ground.

Oh? His Pokemon? He wished he had his Gourgeist or Chandelure with him. Or even his Cofigrigis. They were much more intimidating Pokemon and they were some of his best. He still had his Houndoom with him, and his Umbreon. Maybe Umbreon? It was his first Pokemon. Tsuki was his most trusted partner.

“I do, yes. Most of the Pokemon I’ve hand the longest are in storage, I’m afraid. But I do have my Tsuki with me. He was my first Pokemon.”

Pulling out the Pokeball, he let Tsuki out. The Umbreon (literally half his size, its nose about where his belly button was) made a sound before yawning and sitting down beside him.

Blue's eyes beamed in awe at the sight of Tsuki, the Umbreon. "Whoa...your Umbreon looks like they've been raised very well." He spoke in awe, a soft hum of amazement escaping from his mouth. Blastoise lets out a greeting sound, giving a small wave to Tsuki.

Even without knowing the Pokemon, he could tell it was raised well. Blastoise’s shell looked sturdy. There was also a slight shine to it.

He was honestly more interested in Pokemon than he was trainers. Pokemon were just far more interesting in his opinion.

Blue looked over to his Blastoise, the two of them exchanging a nod. "I sure did." He grinned brightly, "So...what about you? Do you have any Pokemon of your own?" He questioned with a hint of curiosity. He’d love to see the other’s Pokemon if the other wishes to show his Pokemon.

We've been together since I was a kid and I had Blastoise when he was a Squirtle." He explained, seeming a bit embarassed that he had came off rude even though the other was interested in his Pokemon.
