”Leave me alone.” Lamina hissed. “I don’t know what you want from me.”

“I just want to get to know you a little better.” Festus pleaded. “I want a chance to be your brother.”

“I never asked for a brother! I wanted parents, a father but mine chose you over me.” Lamina’s voice shook a little; she wasn’t used to raising it.

Festus just looked at her - mouth slightly agape, like a puppy that had been kicked.

“Sorry, I know it’s not your fault. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” Reaper sighed.

“No, it’s okay. You didn’t hurt my feelings.” Clemensia rebutted “I actually like that you call me out on things like that.”

“Really?” Reaper raised an eyebrow.

“Yeah, I feel like spending this much time with you is making me a better person.” Clemensia confessed. “I’m more self aware now.”

The chaos those three could unleash is funny…

Neither of them noticed Tanner leaning against the doorway.
