Man I worked HARD on this one! I hope you enjoy him! He was a blast to redesign. I wanted to give him a little Transformers flair and make him my own with this redesign, but stil maintain that coloration and overall spirit of the original.
No drill arms, but he's got some new badass cannons to play with!
After the US military suffered a devastating financial loss with their first Mecha project being demolished by Godzilla, they were forced to negotiate and explain themselves to the Peace Keepers Summit.
The military was criticized for not discussing or even clearing the use of a weapon with such devastating fire power. This ended up straining relations and even had the different nations scrambling to create their own Mechas, for fear that the US would use it to wage war once the monsters were defeated or killed.
In their many conversations and meetings where they attempted to quell the idea that they were ever going to use Mechagodzilla to do anything other than fight Godzilla and the other monstrosities, General Hix was stoic and maintained that they'd done the right thing.
"Whether you believe me or you don't, Mechagodzilla was a tool that proved we can kill that monster, we just need to make sure we can kill it and everything else that tries to save him next time."
As tensions mounted, the original team that started the Mecha arms race, J.E.T, now defunct and separated, were called back to discuss a brand new initiative.
Goro Ibuki had been continuously making advancements and technological strides in robotics, JET Jaguar was his first success, but this new machine would be his magnum opus.
Under the U.N.G.C.C (United Nations Godzilla Countermeasures Center), the JSDF (Japanese Self Defense Force) was formed.
The team was a rag tag group of trained fighters and brilliant minds, the ones who originally made up the JET team. With their expertise and Goro's newly designed defense Mecha, they were ready to unveil it properly to the world.
Mobile Operations Godzilla Universal Expert Robot Aero-Type or M.O.G.U.E.R.A was announced and shown to the world in a broadcast that turned the once conspiracy ridden networks ablaze.
M.O.G.U.E.R.A was capable of everything that Mechagodzilla had displayed during the battle with Godzilla. The strange experimental payloads that made the beasts stumble were prepared as missiles.
It also had a massive arm cannon that could fire huge tungsten and fortisnallis alloy bullets that seemed to be quite effective at puncturing and piercing the hides of most monsters. On its left arm, it carried a plasma vibration cannon that was capable of violently melting and deconstructing most surfaces and materials it made contact with.
The nose drill on the Mecha was also made of the tungsten and fortisnallis alloy, allowing it to shred and chunk monster flesh.
In the chest cavity, it harbored a massive plasma master cannon that was capable of blasting a pillar of hot plasma in a condensed line ahead of the Mecha, though in testing, the weapon seemed to be considered a trump card that would power down or severely weaken MOGUERA.
The Mecha was also able to become a massive land rover if it was in terrain too difficult to traverse on its digit-grade legs and there wasn't enough fuel to keep it airborne.
MOGUERA was also able to leave Earth's orbit and enter space. A feature that was specifically requested by the UNGCC, as most of the threats that had been meaning to harm mankind had come from deep space. They wanted to have a leg up on incoming threats.
Despite the name of both the machine and the coalition, MOGUERA was not meant to kill Godzilla. Even the united nations had recognized that despite Godzilla's previous destructive actions, and the lives lost were not disregarded, they could not rightly justify trying to kill the beast.
MOGUERA stood at the ready for any conflict, but the JSDF knew better to get in the way of... God's Abomination.
