Big fat seal Godzilla

ONI GODZILLA (鬼ゴジラ) The Ancient Purifier Finally time so share the updated and final design of Oni Gojira! This is my original take on The King of The Monsters Oni Goji is a spirit god and protector of nature in Ancient Japan My Godzilla is inspired by Yōkai, specifically the Oni, he embodies rage and fire, He's a spirit that will burn everything down in order to restore nature.

Oni Goji doesn't have actual dorsal plates, fire that mimmick it's shape are in it's place. fire being his main motif he's filled with fiery and flowing pointy shapes.

His back has a rift from which his fire 'dorsal plates' come from, as well as molten gold originated from the metal deposits in The Volcano.

When he's enraged the fire on his back bursts on extreme heat and strenght, displaying his intense emotion.

Oni Goji is weak to water, as it slows him down and he'd rather stay on land, but he's capable of walking on the ocean floor, or if needed, floating and propelling himself with fire.

As The Purifier of nature, His 'mouth belly' is a Lava furnace, he uses it to terraform any destroyed land and create new fertile one.

Oni Gojira has no link with any sort of atomic or radioactive origin, so he only posseses a regular fire breath, although whatever is burned by him produces extremely rich ashes.

As a spirit of nature, Oni Godzilla can't die, at least not permanently, whenever defeated in his physical form, he is reborn from The Volcano, this is his place of rest and resurrection.

The Godzillasaurus equivalent for this guy is a deep-sea scavenger that is immediately thrust onto the top of its food chain as a result of its mutation, causing the collapse of its ecosystem and driving it out to find food elsewhere.

Heat ray stuff:

“King Ghidorah, humanity’s greatest mistake, is seen looming over Godzilla’s corpse moments after successfully killing him and usurping his rule. The other two heads roar in victory, but the middle one just… stares at it (what could he be thinking?)”

I neglected to post my King Ghidorah design on here (as I tend to do lol, sorry tumblr followers), so here he is in all his gilded glory! He took over 30 hours to draw and I never want to see this dragon again.
