it shimmers like no gemstones i've ever seen: green as malachite and emerald but shot through with opal, gold, copper. photographs can't do it justice because of how it shines, as well as the way the actual material elements have their own dimensions. you can lean in and study all the fine lines of the circuits or step back and admire how the rearranged whole forms new patterns. it's one of the most beautiful creations i've ever seen.

i'm still a diehard hansry truther BUT upon further introspection i think i actually vibe with rosa's romance quite a bit???? but like. specifically in the way the game presents it. i think rosa gets a crush on henry no matter what and they have nice chemistry together, i really like the scenes they share even outside of the romantic route :]

but i also count rosa in the "temporary small fling" category as some other characters like bartosch, where i CAN see henry developing feelings for them but the circumstances surrounding them means there's no space for them to really get to know each other on a deep and intimate level. for the record i'm a strong-friendship-to-romance fan in general and i HAVE to play henry like a loyal dog to hans, but i acknowledge the potential here yknow?

Clearly they're in love with them" I don't know if you guys have ever Had Friends but it's actually pretty common for people to feel jealous if their best friend suddenly has less time for them and is prioritising someone they just met over them. That's not inherently romantic, that's the general human desire to be valued by the people you value.

Notes on the Bandcamp post:

Someone pointed out that article's from 2023, and that's my mistake! Here is one that describes better where we are today.

Bandcamp engineering layoffs renew fears over Songtradr ownership, artist support and the future of direct-to-fan music.

So.

Downloads are still available as of time of writing. If you have music you want to keep, maybe go download it.

If your favorites sell music directly, go buy it there.

Do NOT go yell at musicians for being on Bandcamp. Where, one day after this broke, do you expect them to go? Where else can we get DRM-free files?

If the new owners keep Bandcamp Friday and DRM-free downloads, I will keep buying music from them.

Think of it this way: who are we trying to help? Musicians, right?

It won't help musicians to boycott Bandcamp and I have not (as of this writing) seen a call for it that's actually from a musicians.

It really won't help musicians to yell at them about being on Bandcamp.

Next Bandcamp Friday I'm going to go buy albums I'd miss if they disappeared.

(And no. I am not a fan of the new ownership. I don't have a better alternative either.)
