10 authors and counting! 

Cadáver Exquisito/ Exquisite corpse or Exquisite cadaver--  is a popular literature technique of the XX century used by surrealist writers. The idea is that multiple people contribute to the creation of a poem by writing down a verse - a random and original verse- without reading the other’s verses. They all do it in the same sheet of paper. The first poet writes down its verse and afterwards folds its part so that the next one can’t read it. Then it goes on like that until the last poet writes its verse. 

This will be a POETIC ACTION and my challenge will be to ask 100 people to write one verse each. The result will be 10 poems written by 100 people. There will be no topic, no theme. All verse are free and the will be no censorship, no curation, No post edition, not even to correct grammar errors or typos. I am going to scan the 10 sheets of paper and publish them in my personal Facebook, twitter, Instagram and Tumblr accounts. 

If the poets are my friends on social media, I’ll tag them (with their previous permission). In addition, I will ask them to give me their emails- and I’ll share with them the result of his or her poem. Finally, I’ll also prepare a booklet with the 10 poems-100 writers and keep it for my own records! Other projects might be inspired on this one afterwards, but that is not yet on agenda.

HMW # 6 - Empty Assignment (1)  Photography around New York City

Following the style of Katja Sherlock, author of the Instagram Account @NYC that I've mentioned earlier in this blog (As an artist that works with video, and also as the inspiration for my two video projects), I've choose to take some pictures around New York City and put them together with a recollection of photos that I have been taking since I moved to New York City in Fall of 2013. Most of them are from Central Park, somo others from Battery Park and somo others are from Columbia University. 

I enjoy going out and taking pictures of the things/places that I like. Photography is an art, but having the right "eye" for it comes with experience. New York City is a fascinating city to capture moments and diverse landscapes and how they change according to the seasons. It is one of the most photographed cities in the world. Three out of ten places listed in The Most Photographed Places Around the World in Instagram, are in New York City. Just for fun, here is the 2013 list:
