A few years ago, I visited England with my class. For five days, I lived in a host family in Eastbourne. Eastbourne is a city near to the capital city London.      Here you can see the famous Eastbourne Pier:

My first impression of the people living there was their polite behaviour. Most of the time, they were calm and nice, and they waited patiently when I had problems to express something difficult in English or if I needed to find a place.

Our trip to London was the most exciting one.                                                        London is a city full of contrasts: modern buildings are standing next to Gothic cathedrals, one can visit sights in the middel of the city with many people around or go to The Globe, an old theatre just outside of the inner city on the other side of the river Thames.                                                                                                The trip ended with a ride on the London Eye. At the top of the biggest giant wheel, the visitors have a beautiful view over London. At night, the buildings are still full of lights, the trees are covered in blue lights, at least when I was there, and the London Eye is shining in different colours, too.

Other sights worth visiting are the Big Ben, the Tower Bridge or the Buckingham Palace,

But when you want to visit Great Britain you have to pay attention because you have to change your money into British pounds.                                                    Here you can see how pounds look like:

Last year, I traveled with my family through Italy with our caravan. We stayed three days in Alberobello.

My first impression of the city was that it is a beautiful little city. The people, who live in Alberobello, are very nice and they helped me when I had a problem with finding the way. Alberobello is a touristy city, but also very clean. If you go to Alberobello, you are able to relax, because the city has a beautiful atmosphere.Alberobello is a very old .The city is known for Trullis.

Trullis are little buildings. Before a long time ago, people lived in Trullis. Now only some people live in these buildings. Some Trullis are hotels,some restaurants and some are shops where you are able to buy souvenirs. These buildings are world cultural heritage. That is the reason why the city is touristy. In the restaurants you are able to eat italian food like pizza or pasta. The pizza in Alberobello is very good.

During my trip through Europe I visited a very special place, Amsterdam! The capital of the Netherlands is a beautiful city and it has many sights you can see if you only spend one or two days there. I just stayed in Amsterdam for one night but I saw a lot. I slept in a hotel near the Central Station and after my arrival I decided first to see the canals. The canals are something very special about Amsterdam because they're just between the streets and lots of boats are driving on them. Did you know the Amsterdamers call the canals "Grachten"? Another thing I noticed immediately is that Amsterdam is full of bikes. Everywhere you look you can see bikes and people driving on them. I even saw some wooden bikes, another thing I really fell in love with in Amsterdam. Amsterdam at night is very beautiful too, you can have dinner in a restaurant, they have food of all different cultures, or just sit outside in a cafe with a beautiful look on the city. As I said I only spent one night in Amsterdam and I had to leave the next afternoon but I used the morning to visit a tulips market. Tulips are typical Dutch flowers and on the market I saw all different kinds of them. There were tulips in all colours and shapes, even black ones. But at last I think I should not forget the most typical thing about Amsterdam, the houses. The houses are really narrow and colourful and they stand lopsided. That's because they were built on a very wet ground. Amsterdam doesn't have the most famous sights or is the biggest city, but it's the many little things making it special and beautiful. I'm sure you can see lots of more things when you stay longer than me but my impression of the city is so lovely and it is really worth a visit!
