One if the easiest and (quite frankly, hippest) ways to snap, modify, and share pics on the iPhone (and hopefully the soon-to-be-real iPad 2!). Come on... All the cool kids are using it! You should be too! The app itself is dead simple to use and you'll find yourself taking pictures, applying filters, and posting your newest Ansel Adams tributes in no time. The only downside is that app seems to downgrade the resolution of pics when you apply a filter and save it to your camera roll—making it less desirable to actually have your edited mug shots printed anywhere. However, as the saying goes, you can't beat the price: it's free.
iHome+SleepDesigned by the maker of the popular iHome accessories, the iHome+Sleep App is probably the most epic alarm clock out there on any platform.  In addition to reliable alarm clock functions, you can program it to analyze your sleep patterns, set bedtime and wake-up reminders, and display a “what you missed while you were sleeping” news summary that pops up upon silencing (ie. throwing your iPhone against the wall in the dark) your alarm in the morning. Ingenious. Oh, and the best part: It’s free.  (NOTE: You can use the app with or without one of the "iHome App-enhanced" alarm clocks.)
