Today is Takemura's birthday!

Happy birthday Goro!

To celebrate I posted a new chapter of my longfic, Double Helix. The story takes place in 2079, and follows what happens to Riley after accepting a deal with the devil.

I post irregularly (I took a three years hiatus for mental health reasons and I don't have a fixed posting day) but I have the entire story more or less planned and I am deeply invested in finishing it now.

“What is the song about?” he asked, holding my hand as I pirouetted and almost tripped on the cobblestone with a cackle. His translator would tell him the words, so I guessed he wanted to know more about the deeper meaning of it.

“About an endless, larger than life love, that transcends time and space,” I explained. “The songwriter believed that lovers were always alone, even in a room full of people.”

I felt his eyes linger on me. It was always a bit unsettling to know he was observing me, given how sharp he was.

“Maybe he was right,” he just said.

Goro: "You tease me too often."

Riley: "Hmm, and what are you gonna do about it, other than finishing my nonni's wine?"

Goro: "I have a couple of ideas..."
