“Am I Going CRAZY? Would I Even KNOW?”

A cloud stares blankly out at the city below, a sigh escaping him as the tears slowly fall, a chuckle escaping him. It was raining softly, vivid flashbacks to a night similar to this one. A night where he had met a bomb. A bomb he had to put down unfortunately. He had grown close to that bomb.

”Hey, here’s a fun idea.

How bout I sit on the couch,

And I watch you next time?”

Next time. Next time had never came. It had been unfortunate really. He really loved those nights.

”I wanna hear you tell a joke.

When no one’s laughing in the background.

So this is how it ends.”

A tight grip as he walks away from the window.

Pitter patter pitter patter

”Gabe? Gabe what are you- why are you- I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS??? I THOUGHT YOU CARED!”

“I-I’m sorry! It has to be this way!”

“I promise to never go outside again… Am I going crazy? Would I even k n o w?”

He looks back out the window. So long ago.

“Am I right back where I started 14 years ago?”

He lets the tears fall, sobbing into his hands.

”Wanna guess the ending? If it ever does?!
