“summer at the Wyrmwound” - a really, really bad smell. Used mostly outside Plague territory.

“swap wind” - literally, the practice of alternating position when flying in formation, as the dragon taking rear expends less energy. Figuratively, any situation in which favors are exchanged, similar to the expression “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”.

“Viridian mile” (or appropriate unit of distance measure) - a task that is far more difficult than it appears to be from the outside, or appeared to be before it was undertaken. Refers to the thickly-grown terrain of the Viridian Labyrinth, which can turn a normally unimpressive unit of ground travel into a demanding and dangerous distance.

“I’m your charge” - equivalent to “I’m in your hands”. The dynamic between guardians and their charges is so embedded in dragon society that it’s often referred to to lend context to similar (but less crucial) interactions.

“choke down the haunch” - to do something unpleasant to achieve a desired end. Refers to a folk tale in which a tundra dragon must hunt and eat with a mirror pack in order to win their respect and help with a greater task, despite not being a carnivore.

“making rocs out of sparrows” - making mountains out of molehills, exaggerating a problem to oneself or others.

“Arcane hello” - meeting by accident through shared participation in an unpleasant event (like being attacked by harpies and forced to shelter together). A small family of idioms appends “Arcane” to nouns to imply versions of those things “gone wrong”. They’re not very appreciated by Arcane dragons.

So i got super bored and did edits of some FR dragon species to better fit how i see them looking in my head

Bacchus the Bard

Bacchus is the Sandsea’s resident bard, and can be found most commonly in the Queen’s Copper Court tending to or playing his beloved harp. Known only to the keenest in the clan is Bacchus’s true role in court, as the Queen’s intel gatherer. Nothing goes unseen or unheard under his watchful guard, even when whispered under what was thought to be the cover of one of his haunting harp songs. It is rumored many of the Queen’s serving and attending staff are the eyes and ears of Bacchus, and not a single court whisper goes unaccounted to the Queen.

Hi guys welcome to my wee challenge.  Informal, you can skip a day or an outfit if you want.  The only rule is that you need to use more than one set or type of apparel for each outfit, cause where’s the fun if you just use one? (You’re gonna need this.)

1. Take all your favorite pieces of apparel and try to make them a cohesive outfit. 

2. Your flight in an outfit. Challenge mode: No fest apparel. 

3. How would you dress your deity?

4. An outfit based on your favorite familiar

5. Your OOTD, or a close approximation. 

6. Make a completely monochrome outfit (some accent colors permitted, you know how they get with those)

7. The seasons (one or all, depending on how spicy you’re feeling.)

8. Fancy dress. Challenge mode: No apparel with fancy in the name.

9. The perfect pastel outfit

10. Gem apparel only

11. An outfit based off one of the ugly beautiful and artistic sweaters. Challenge mode: one for each of them. 

12. An outfit based on your favorite song or (musical) artist

13. The ideal eyeburner outfit

14. An outfit based on your favorite character

15. High contrast (red & green, purple & yellow, orange & blue)

16. An outfit for your favorite holiday

17. Make a superhero, or an outfit based on one  

18. An outfit under 500 gems or 500k treasure (based off MP/LAH prices)

19. Outfit themed after Knights & fighters

20. Make an outfit entirely out of Baldwin apparel.  

21. Take two/three sets that should never be mixed and make ‘em work

22. Minimalism. No more than 6 slots, high-coverage apparel forbidden. 

23. Clutter. Preferably using every slot, with a minimum of 10. 

24. Outfit themed after witchcraft, wizardry, warlock activities, mage things

25. Make an outfit entirely out of fest/event apparel. 

26. Outfit themed after explorers or anything along those lines

27. The outfit you could never afford but oh god, oh god you wish

28. An outfit entirely out of retired/cycled apparel.

29. An outfit where every piece is from a different set. Try to put at least one apparel piece on every part of the dragon. 

30. Make a good good dragon of science

31. Something to fit your occupation/dream occupation Orrr if your occupation/dream occupation is not conducive to dragon outfitting make an ideal outfit for a dream/self insert dragon. 

32. An outfit based on your favorite piece of art. This one can get abstract. Do include the art when you post the outfit! 

33. An outfit entirely out of coli drops. Challenge mode: Don’t use just anything that can drop in the coliseum, but things exclusive to the coliseum. 

34. Make an outfit for a blacksmith.

35. An outfit entirely made up of Swipp exclusives. Challenge mode: Don’t make it goth. 

36. Cover the mannequin in gold (with taste). 

37. Make an outfit with enough flowers to aggravate my hay fever through the computer screen. 

38. An outfit for an astronomer, an astronaut, a space enthusiast— whatever floats your starship. 

39. An outfit made up of earth tones. 

40. Something fit for royalty

41. A primarily brown/gray outfit with just a splash of color

42. An outfit to match a specific accent

43. Thievery and other criminal outfits 

44. Pick two elemental aesthetics and combine them

45. An outfit for a ghost (you could just use an invisibility cloak and call it a day, but I WILL track you down and stare disapprovingly at you through your window for it)

46. An outfit based off your zodiac sign (Western, Chinese, Celtic, whichever)

47. An outfit that looks like it just crawled out of a grave

48. Medical professionals and “medical” “professionals”

49. The four horsemen of the apocalypse

I once made a PSD-Template to show which Breed and Genes you like or don’t like. As you can see it’s quite outdated (Newest Gene at this time was Vipera…) and also hard to work with if you don’t have Photoshop.

I currently working on a new Version, this time as Web Solution with the possibility to convert the Form as an Image to post at Tumblr and so on.

Listen. I’m really weak for purple/orange/raspberry color combos, and when I realized that I could pull that off with this sweater? I went for it. I’m not feelin’ up for the challenge, so only just this one outfit.
