I am Riddle (she/her). Welcome to the spiffy in-depth masterpost blog for all that FOP headcanon nonsense I've got. You can read my fanfics on FFN or AO3 (Links in blog header).
Hi! This lovely ol' sideblog's been tidied up in light of A New Wish! I have a new AU for New Wish works. Let's talk about it!
Main blog - @fountainpenguin
My FFN - My AO3
Sideblog masterpost
Housekeeping Updates
- New avatar - @zachbrightside and I updated our FOP sonas. Tossed the headcanon'd honorary pixie hat on mine! :) Shout-out to that one kid in "School of Crock" who wore this hat with no explanation. And squared my gal's wings! Experimented with pink and purple hair options, but I like the brown too much to change.
- Fixed all broken masterpost links - Checked 3 or 4 times, so let me know if you find something wrong.
- Added things to the masterpost that weren't there (Ex: Art section)
- Combed through every post and changed the bullet point system so they're easier to read, following format update from several years ago that condensed the spacing between bulleted items.
-> As part of this, I've used indents and dashes in place of bullets in many posts. I've also added periods on otherwise blank lines to force blank space, as the blank space is another thing we lost during that format update.
-> This is so posts will look better on the dashboard. The dots may seem odd when viewed directly on the blog, but it definitely makes it easier to not lose my place while editing long posts. Also, they should be more readable now than they would be if they're reblogged to others' dashboards without this change.
- I combed through the short bios and long profiles and divided paragraphs more. There were many bulky paragraphs that have now been divided in a way that should make posts - especially these big profiles - easier to read.
-> Cleaned the "Appearances" sections of the long profiles. They used to list each 'fic that character is in, but now they have a labeled AO3 link to works written by me that include that character. Sleek, clean, and automatically updates!
- Shout-out to me having Dale Dimmadome already down as one of H.P. and Sanderson's past godkids 5+ years ago. I knew that was my headcanon, but I did not remember that was on his profile and I'm glad it was, haha... oh no. I don't know what my plan is for that in light of New Wish, but I'll figure it out.
- Changed posts that called my canon Riddleverse Classic to say Cloudlands AU, since that's the new name for my series. Left the name Riddleverse for posts that encompass multiple AUs.
-> Updated my Icebreaker post with this and other new info
- Deleted any posts tagged as "Delete later"
- I have a lot of long profiles and other posts saved to my drafts from years ago. Once Tumblr shifted to the new format (including with the queue), it became so distressing and ever-changing that I struggled a lot to find my footing.
Ex: They took away line dividers, which I thought was frustrating since I used those on my long posts and found them helpful. I was holding out hope they'd return.
- Some posts (like my wing refs and the giant 20k-word class overviews) kept getting flagged if I edited them, and I was worried I'd lose my stuff or have the account deleted
- Back then, the queue would only tell me which day of the week something was posting, not which month or day. It was just overwhelming to create a schedule or keep track of my stuff, so I took a break from Tumblr in general.
These days, I'm much more comfortable with the editor and my queue is now more specific about deadlines. I look forward to posting here again!
I won't be on a schedule, and the big character profiles do take a lot out of me, but my plan back in the day was to release one a month. Might be able to get to there! If not, maybe the short bios.
Future of this FOP Sideblog
- More worldbuilding posts! I let this blog sit a long time because I felt like I'd said all my worldbuilding and the only thing to do now was profiles and bios (which I was reluctant to prioritize when I felt "behind" in my 'fics).
However, I found some things I'd never moved to this blog, such as my notes on aging. I'd like to post that and others I found.
- No longer hesitant about sharing stuff for "weird" characters or OCs. I had a post about celebrity kids (Poof's age and younger) that I never posted because I didn't think anyone would care about my headcanons for Simon Sparklefield (who only appears in one obscure episode I don't count as fully canon anyway) or Billy Crystal Ball (also obscure) but... Hey, that's why you're here, isn't it? So let's talk celebrities!
In other words, I'd like to bring this blog back as the unapologetic place to share my FOP things. We have references to canon characters and talk of OCs (like Hadley, Emery, Whistle, Soren, China, Anti-Saffron, Kalysta, Iris, Idona... List goes on.)
- This blog will have more polished fanart than the doodles from my main blog
- Polished 'fic cover images will be reblogged here. By this, I mean the posts I do on my main blog that outline what to expect from a 'fic. I won't reblog my general chapter announcements; I don't want to flood this blog with those.
- 130 Reasons Why I'm Fairy Trash's cover will be reblogged, but the posts for individual trains won't be.
- Existing cover images will get new, polished posts for their 'fics before I reblog them here.
- I went through the blog and added the tag "Cloudlands AU" to many posts, apart from a few I'm still hesitant to edit (or where it didn't seem worth noting). Cloudlands AU refers to my lore for the 11 seasons of the main series (i.e. including the "Oh Yeah!" shorts), and this is what my sideblog was meant for.
- The reason for this new tag is to separate it from City Lights AU: my new AO3 series for works about New Wish. These works are not compliant with Cloudlands AU, which was designed years ago.
Ex: Peri and Irep will get a short bio on this blogged tagged as City Lights AU to explain what we're setting up for their characters over there, distinct from the existing short bio for Poof and Foop in Cloudlands AU (who are very well established in their arcs).
In other words, I'm not rewriting Cloudlands AU canon to fit with A New Wish, but I still want to write works for New Wish. Expect bios and art for Hazel and Dev here someday (and others).
The next thing I post will be Hadley's full character profile (now with updates that are compliant with A New Wish).
After that, I'll reblog my Cloudlands AU and City Lights AU guides to this blog so they'll be under their tags and on the masterlist.
When that's all done, I'd like to knock out full character profiles for Dale, Dev, and Hazel when I can (in addition to finishing my drafts for Cosmo, Wanda, Poof, and Foop). Long, slow process, but it would be cool to have those things done by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
Feeling decent about my idea for Hazel's birthdate. I have nice options for Dev, but no commitment until Zach and I nail down where "Operation: Birthday Takeback" goes in our New Wish timeline. Enjoying the process so far!
-> Dev's b-day is QUITE the toss-up between options like "National Day of Unplugging," "Plant a Lemon Tree Day," and the absolutely golden combo of "Pizza Party & Virtual Assistants Day." And perhaps others we've not investigated!
I think that's everything! Hopefully, this is the last "blog news" announcement we have for a while, and the blog can return to being a landing spot for fanart and story meta.
As always, the sideblog's Asks are closed as I want to maintain a consistent feel for this blog. You can reach out to my main blog (Askbox here) if you want to ask a worldbuilding question.
Additionally, I'm interested in following other people's worldbuilding / AUs so I can engage more with the community, especially those passionate about FOP worldbuilding.
-> I'm open to self-advertisement if you want to shoot me an Ask on my main blog telling me where I can find your work!
-> I'd prefer to follow a blog that is primarily for FOP worldbuilding / art / 'fics (or subscribe to an AO3 series for FOP works), but I'm open to consideration if your blog is multi-fandom!
My preference: Thoughtful takes on characters and world that dig deeper than just ship art / ship 'fics- Nothing against shipping, but I'm more interested in character analyses and worldbuilding. Bonus points for a focus on miserable children, Dale lemonade trauma, Pixies, or Timmy growing up to lose his memories and live an average human life.
If you don't fit this, you can still recommend your AU and I'll check it out, but that's my wishlist :) Also, if there's anyone who makes Timmy/Molly content, you are my hero and should totally link me your work.
It's such an honor to see so many followers of this sideblog despite its long absence! To those of you interested in staying with me as we enter this next phase, thank you very much - it means a lot to me - and I hope you enjoy browsing!
And to anyone who's lost interest, thank you for spending time while you were here <3
One last note - My goal has always been to reblog others' fanart for my 'fics here, but most of them are still sitting in my drafts, unreblogged. I'll queue those up.
I'm always delighted to receive gift art! Feel free to tag @riddledeep and I'll reblog it here! Same goes for gift 'fics, so don't hesitate to share!

Bio: Dusty is the firstborn son of Dusty Sr. and Ember Fairywinkle (Nana Cadabra). Since birth, he's carried heavy expectations on his shoulders. As a child, Dusty developed into a gyne: a large, freckled Fairy on the path to developing into a "queen bee." While gynes are often feared and regarded with caution, his parents couldn't have been more thrilled. Who doesn't want the heir to the family business - Heck, their entire estate - predisposed to bulk and brawn?
Ember and Dusty Sr. insisted he was well-educated, well-tutored, and set him up well in life. Dusty Jr. learned quickly that asking to take things slower - or searching for other paths than the one they set him on - wasn't an option. Not for a firstborn Fairywinkle gyne like him. While he didn't enjoy studying, he performed well and took pride in his scores (and received praise from his parents in the process).
As a gyne, Dusty Jr. took many grappling classes and occasionally fought other gynes in his general age group. His badge (Legally required to be worn on upper school property) is a red star. If this lore sounds unfamiliar, remember that Poof's gyne badge is a red heart.
Dusty Jr.'s life is best described as "maintaining a cool exterior while suffering in silence." He chases peace, fun, and beauty wherever he can, whether that's his secret indulgence for horse head plushies like Mr. Neigh-Neigh (See the Season 5 episode "Big Wanda") or the affair he had on his honeymoon with a will o' the wisp that landed him pregnant with Blonda and Wanda and no easy way out.
He cares deeply for Serena, though from her view, their relationship might be best described as "cordial." Suffice to say, she never forgave him for the affair, but puts on the impression that she did.
To most people, Dusty Jr. comes off as intimidating. When left to his own devices, he's reserved and quiet. He'd love a life of raising his daughters in the privacy of his own home, but sadly, duty calls. He's done his best to live up to the Fairywinkle legacy. Despite some attempt to shield his daughters from the darker side of his work, he does layer certain pressure and expectations on them, as his parents before him.
It's no secret that Serena runs the home and hosts most events for their large family, but Dusty Jr. is a very engaged grandfather. He knows all his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and his siblings' grandchildren. He blatantly favors Poof - the eldest and a gyne like him - but while a few grandkids may feel slightly bitter, he does an excellent job in expressing affection to all of them so no one can say they've been left out.
He's now raising Poof to take over the family business... and - in theory - raising Poof to publicly kill him one day to ensure the Pixies don't swoop in and try to steal his business. See also, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies.
His anti-fairy counterpart is Anti-Buster: the First General who helped raise Anti-Cosmo (and who shows up multiple times in Frayed Knots). Allegedly, Dusty Jr. is seeing Mama Cosma in secret, which is a huge no-no for members of the common fairy subspecies (whose culture strongly rejects serial monogamy). Serena doesn't stop him, but it's safe to say she knows... and that the estate yidreamu has been dead for longer than they would ever publicly admit.
SERENA FAIRYWINKLE (NÉE WILDWISP)

About 96k years younger than H.P.; about 4k years younger than Mama Cosma

Bio: Serena's life revolves around giving her time and energy to others. She helped raise her younger siblings, went into the teaching profession, married young, and has raised her husband's affair children ever since. If Big Daddy is the man you don't want to mess with lest he "take care of things," Serena's the one you don't want to tick off lest you lose her interest in "taking care of things." She has her thumbs in the pies of many important social and childcare programs across Fairy World. Is losing your healthcare a risk you want to take?
Serena met Dusty Jr. at his half-brother's coming-of-age ceremony and later married married him (Both mentally ~23). She is not the biological mother of his daughters (That would be Kylia Swiftspark), but she's treated them as her own as best she can... though she may have favored Blonda more than Wanda.
Today, Serena is a Spellementary School teacher who focuses on the cohort above Poof and Foop. She cares deeply for her students and doesn't tolerate bullying or hazing in her classroom. She does her best to push her students, though many would say she puts them on the spot as if grilling them in an examination room. Both Poof and Foop refer to her as "Nonna" even though Foop is an Anti-Fairy. She appeared in "Looking Back," "I Just Live Here," and Frayed Knots chapters 41 & 42.
Foop is Dusty and Serena's garmhac- The grandson of their counterparts
In her personal life, Serena hosts large dinners, community events, social groups, and gatherings at her home. Family is very important to her, though the apron strings between her and Wanda have unraveled across the years. Despite the affair that soured their relationship, she does wish to maintain good faith ties with her husband. She does what she can to keep this ruffled family from breaking at the seams.
Anti-Serena isn't in the lives of Anti-Wanda, Anti-Wendy, or the Anti-Fairywinkle family at all.

Additional Family Notes
- The Fairywinkle family are well-known for their cherry almond pheromones. It's very strong in their line, so all family members have this scent unless they married into the family or they were born of someone with stronger pheromones (Unlikely).
- Both the Fairywinkle and Wildwisp families speak Lialia at home (Italian parallel). In "I Just Live Here," Poof noted that some of his second cousins only speak Lialia (not Snobbish, the English parallel) and that he wasn't bothered by the language barrier as a baby since he was used to people not understanding him
The Fairywinkle family is large. In-story, Poof refers to many people as "his cousins" even though they are his second cousins. He also knows some people who are technically his second cousins' cousins (no immediate relation to him), but they're still classed as cousins.
Since being embraced in the Fairywinkle family, it's expected that he know and care about these individuals, even if he's not biologically close to them.
- Big Daddy has a half-brother named Bryndin, who was born for political reasons (to provide the ruling Anti-Fairy family with a biological heir when they asked for one); Anti-Bryndin is High Count when Anti-Cosmo is born (See also, the Anti-Coppertalon family tree).
Big Daddy and Bryndin share their mother (Ember), but have different fathers: Dusty Fairywinkle Sr. (Common fairy) and Henrie Northfeather (Swanee).
- Big Daddy accepts Cosmo in the family with little complaint, though he does think Wanda could have done better.
- Fairy World looks negatively at twins, especially the second in a set of identical twins, due to a belief that they have a connection with Anti-Fairies (who are also lookalikes who appear after childbirth). Due to this, Blonda's existence was largely shielded from the public. Publicly, she was treated as her father's drone son, Walter, until she renounced that life and embraced being a woman.
Blonda was seen as Walter in the Origin of the Pixies Chapter 36. In Frayed Knots, Anti-Cosmo meets her after she's come out publicly as Blonda (end of Chapter 30).
- Westley Periwinkle (Blonda's ward) occasionally stays in the Fairywinkle home. Poof considers him a cousin; we saw them together in "I Just Live Here."
- Cosmo and Wanda's second child, Dusty the Third, is named after Wanda's father.
- Poof is much closer to the Fairywinkle side of his family than the Cosma side, and his brother Dusty is the opposite. He often stays with his grandparents at their Starglint Town estate during school breaks and/or when his parents are busy with a godkid.
- Poof's relationship with his Fairywinkle family is a major plot point in Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies.
- The Fairywinkle family carries a very rare gene for lateral spots: freckles down the sides of their torsos, but which are only visible in gyne offspring. As far as it matters in Cloudlands AU, Poof and Big Daddy are the only two Fairies who show lateral spots. Big Daddy pointed this out to Poof in "I Just Live Here" when assuring him that he's indeed a Fairywinkle because he wouldn't have that freckle pattern if he were adopted.
- Both Big Daddy and Serena's preferred shapeshifting forms prey on moles.

Bio: Florensa was born the youngest of three children on the heels of the War of the Sunset Divide (sister to Harold and Joanie Lunifly). From a young age, she showed a prowess for books and art... No surprise to anyone, given that her counterpart (Eleanor Anti-Florensa) quickly gained a reputation for brawn and skill.
Not to be outshined, Florensa joined the military straight out of upper school. During her service, she met Robin Cosma. Both completed their required service years and chose to return to school, officially dating during this time. They were married about halfway through their advanced education, leading Florensa Lunifly to become Florensa Cosma. She soon graduated with her godparenting license.
She's always cared deeply for her husband, whom she describes as "fascinating, intelligent, and so, so romantic;" she took very good care of him during his pregnancy and was always the first to sacrifice her own comfort to assure the best for her husband and sons. Notably, the pregnancy occurred shockingly early in Fairy culture (~Age 21 mentally where most Fairies wait for mid to late 30s). Florensa and Robin certainly received a lot of sideways glances due to their youth, but they worked hard to give their sons the best lives they could. They loved the idea of being a family.
Florensa prides herself greatly on her military training. To her glee, there's no question that she can hold her own on the battlefield. She fought for that joy every step of the way, regardless of those telling her not to bother because "her counterpart would always outclass her." Her short temper, rash attitude, and brazen overconfidence get her into trouble, but she pays her penitence when its due.
She's very passionate about making a better life for herself and her children... perhaps to her sons' detriment. Hardened by a cruel world, Florensa favors fawning over her boys, constantly assuring them that they're enough just the way they are and that she'll always love them. That said, she cannot help but see the flaws in the choices they make and tends to keep them on a tight leash. Well... At least one of them.
Florensa teaches godparenting classes, and was even assigned to teach Wanda during her time on probation (i.e. summer school; see the end of the Season 3 episode "Where's Wanda?") Her hobbies include playing card games (especially Bridge; see the Season 6 episode "Odd Squad"), networking with fellow educators (and Jorgen), caring for her home, plotting against Wanda Fairywinkle, and kidnapping figures of high social standing (See the Season 5 episode "Big Wanda").
While she isn't fond of either of her sons' partners (Wanda Fairywinkle and Ingrid Wandflick), she enjoys doting on her grandchildren. Poof has a lot of mixed feelings about Mama Cosma due to her dislike for his mother. Dusty acknowledges her hatred and plays along as if it's roleplay (to Wanda's hurt) because at least he's getting cookies and might inherit some interesting items someday. Snowball buys completely into Mama Cosma's agenda and is blatantly Grandma's favorite. Ah, well... Everyone has issues with their mother-in-law, right? What else can you do but tighten your lips and bear it?
Notably, Mama Cosma stood by her devotion to her husband in Origin of the Pixies Chapter 37 ("Off") when she affirmed her adherence to the practice of lifelong monogamy prevalent in the common fairy subspecies. However, Sanderson called this into question in "In Confidence," pointing out her affiliations with Dusty Fairywinkle Jr. ("Big Daddy") don't appear purely platonic in nature. Hmm...
ROBIN "PAPA" COSMA, SR.
Occupation: Librarian; poet
Former Occupation: Military
Birthday: Summer of the Pacing Voles (Breath)
Height: 3′10″ (Tall for a fae)
Alignment: Neutral Good
MBTI: INFP
Love Language: Quality Time
Handedness: Left dominant
Hometown: Emper - A small town on the outskirts of Fairy World, occasionally circled by pirates
Core: Whetting stone
Core Color: Purple
Crown Lift: Average
Wand Type: Chesberry
Fagiggly Color: Green
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Swan
Bio: Robin was the eldest of two boys born to Gonzo and Starling Cosma. He was born and raised in a traditional estate alongside his younger brother (the chronically ill Hawk), their Anti-Fairy counterparts, Anti-Starling, and their Refracts; notably, this excludes Anti-Gonzo, who wandered Fairy World with his flockmates and famously only appeared when required to sire Anti-Robin and Anti-Hawk.
Robin always held a strong sense of kindness, community, and goodwill and always made an effort to care for his younger brother and include him in all his games. Sweet, loyal... Robin became everything Anti-Robin wasn't, but that's another story. Does it matter? They both died long ago, before their younger sons really got to know them.
After upper school, Robin joined the military, where he met Florensa Lunifly. He kept one foot in the military all his life, but returned to school alongside Florensa to pursue education as a librarian. He became pregnant with Robin Jr. (Schnozmo) shortly before graduation, then had his second child (Cosmo) some years after. Schnozmo would describe Robin as "Plenty loving, but not always fully engaged." Robin always did love staying busy, serving his community, and responded quickly when danger struck.
Unfortunately for Robin, he was a first responder when his son (Cosmo) entered the Terrible Twos and cast a bubble around a large portion of Fairy World, which slowly deprived those within of magic. Robin was last seen pounding his fist on the inside of the bubble, pleading with Cosmo to end the magic, but sadly succumbed to asphyxiation along with many other individuals. To this day, Cosmo blames himself for his father's death; he cares deeply for his father's poems and even pursued writing himself.
Robin Cosma Sr. is best remembered for his poems, which explore a wide variety of topics and play with elegant language. While many of his poems could be classed as feel-good and well-liked by the Fairy population (and many were steamy in nature), an astute eye will catch the societal criticism lurking underneath...

This post discusses non-human societies, one of which places value in things - including relationships - that are "opposite" of what we might consider safe or moral today. As always, this worldbuilding is fictional and none of these societies (even the Fairies) should be held up as positive role models for humans.
We hear tell that the fairies and other magical creatures are immortal, but is that really the case?
Key Thoughts
- Fairies can get sick ("The Fairy Flu," "Presto Change-O", "Open Wide and Say Aaagh")
- Foop has a confirmed death ("Man's Worst Friend")
- Fairies turn to dust when they die ("Fairy Idol"); Anti-Fairies may be associated with smoke ("Anti-Poof")
- Magic doesn't affect magic ("Abracatastrophe")
- Several times, Fairies are attacked by magic that should kill a human, such as Juandissimo turning to ash in both "Truth or Cosmoquences" and "The Fairly Oddlympics," or Foop in "Man's Worst Friend." Fairies (and Anti-Fairies) seem immune to death by magic beam.
-> They've also survived other peculiar things, such as Cosmo and Wanda losing their heads ("You-Doo", "The Fairly Oddlympics," "Open Wide and Say Aaagh")
- Non-magical items are a threat to Fae lives ("Smart Attack," "Poltergeeks," "Scary Godcouple")
- Crocker stocks his fairy-hunting supplies with sharp blades ("Scary Godcouple")
- A fairy of high rank may have died when the Pink Castle caught on fire ("Balance of Flour"); the war between Fairies and Anti-Fairies is implied to have ended with a truce immediately after (88,000 B.C.)
- The bake-off in "Balance of Flour" is the 90,000th anniversary of the truce; Anti-Cosmo is heavily implied to be an adult of high rank in Anti-Fairy society before the first bake-off (He and Jorgen play Tiddlywinks before the annual bake-off is established).
-> This would imply Anti-Cosmo and those older than him fought in the war
- Enough time must have passed between Anti-Cosmo's birth and the war to allow him to reach that high rank, as well as for Jorgen's hair to turn from purple to white ("Fairly Odd Baby")
- Cosmo and Wanda were godparents to Erg in 50,000 B.C. ("The Past and the Furious")
- Cosmo and Wanda's canon family tree ("77 Secrets of The Fairly OddParents (Revealed)" depicts their grandparents (Grandpa Gonzo for Cosmo, & Nana Cadabra for Wanda) as very advanced in years. Both use their wands as canes. Nana Cadabra's hair is frizzy while Gonzo has lost most of his along with his teeth. Both are covered in wrinkles
- Cosmo and Wanda have been married for nearly 10,000 years by the time they're with Timmy ("Apartnership" and future episodes)
- Poof is the first fairy baby born in thousands of years
Fairies are at risk of death at the very beginnings and ends of their lives. The earliest life stage is also called instar: the period a baby still has its exoskeleton. The final life stage is called the senescent stage and is accompanied by the final wing moult, a gradual loss in hair, a lightening of hair color, wrinkles, and sometimes tooth loss.
Generally, Fairy wings will heal if injured, though some severe injuries may require a wing moulting to recover from. Once a Fairy enters the senescent stage, any damage to their wings is permanent.
Anti-Fairy wings heal very quickly since they have veins and muscle that Fairy wings lack
Info below the Keep Reading divider contains mentions of abuse & underage sexual relationships. Click at own discretion (No scenes, just discussion about it).
Aging
A cohort is “a group of students who work through a curriculum” together. In 'fics, this specifically means "any Fae born within the same rotation on the zodiac cycle (from Love year to Leaves).
#RD nature spirits covers zodiac details
Poof, Foop, Sammy, Goldie, Anti-Marigold, Finley, Whistle, and Soren are examples of Fae born in the same cohort; they attend the same classes even though they weren't all born the exact same year. There's so little variation between individual years that it makes much more sense to educate them in chunks.
That said, those born in the Love year may have 6 or 7 years on their classmates and may learn a bit faster.
- Poof was born in a Soil year, Foop in a breath year. They are 4 months apart (Poof born February 18th, Foop June 13th)
- Poof was the first member of the common fairy subspecies born in thousands of years. However, children of other subspecies were not banned. See Fairy Social Ladder for info on subspecies.
Birth
A baby is very young. They can fly and understand speech, but have little to no control over their magic. Fairy babies must drink milk to receive its nutrients and hormones, including several involved in the ability to use magic. Without the proper hormones in the milk, the baby won’t be able to use magic or fly. A Fairy that cannot use magic is called a “tomte.”
- Cosmo has a genetic mutation; he still requires nursing milk hormones as an adult, so he owns a bottle-shaped thermos
- The pixie Finley is the most notable tomte in my works
Fairy babies cannot digest anything besides milk. They will throw up anything else and will die without some sort of milk. Anti-Fairy babies will be healthier if they drink milk, but they won’t starve without it; they cannot die so long as their Fairy counterpart lives.
Changeling children require milk, but swapping babies has gone out of fashion lately. Sammy Sweetsparkle is a changeling (He's one of the huldufólk and they do not naturally produce milk; they are the only Fae species who still practice the changeling children tradition)
Fairy babies can only say “Poof poof” until they experience pooferty (“School of Crock”). However, Anti-Fairy babies are born in a more advanced state, perhaps because they need to be capable of caring for themselves due to the frequency of neglectful parents in Anti-Fairy World.
A Fairy or pixie baby is properly called a nymph. An Anti-Fairy baby is called a pup. A Refract baby is called a chick.
Age 1 and Under
Fairy babies wean between eight months of age and two years old. The vast majority wean around the time of their first birthday.
Near their weaning day, they shed their exoskeletons; Fairies stop being round, Anti-Fairies stop being cubes, and pixies stop being hexagonal. They get “real bodies” at this time, and look like little Fairies and Anti-Fairies.
Poof and Foop’s shedding was especially delayed due to the frozen timestream, as we learned in “Timmy’s Secret Wish”. Foop is synced up to him, so Foop stayed a box until the timestream was unfrozen and Poof began to properly age again. Poof and Foop shed towards the end of Season 10
"Evolution Hopeful"
Age 2
During their second year, a Fairy baby goes through the Terrible Twos, and an Anti-Fairy experiences the Terrific Twos (“The Terrible Twosome”).
In the Origin of the Pixies chapter “Spoonful of Sugar,” we learn baby pixies go through an emo phase
45 - 55
Because they mature rapidly, young Fairies and Anti-Fairies need constant stimulation. Between the ages of 45 and 55, they attend school with the rest of their cohort.
In modern times, Foop was the first Anti-Fairy to be allowed in Spellementary, in accordance with the Barrier being lowered after “When Nerds Collide” (Post-"Back In Action"). Gradually, other Anti-Fairies have slowly trickled in
Around age 50 (though some may be a few years younger), many Anti-Fairies engage in a rite of passage called a canetis, which is a hunting ritual involving the use of echolocation.
After their canetis, an Anti-Fairy is no longer referred to as a pup. They’re called a juvenile. Similarly, once they turn 50, a Fairy is called a juvenile instead of nymph.
- In Frayed Knots, we learn Anti-Fairy parents put heavy earrings on their pups' ears to prevent them from echolocating and wandering off. These rings are removed after their canetis
- Anti-Cosmo had his canetis in "Snake Eyes," but Foop didn't have one
Fairy children mature rapidly until they hit the mental age of 10. Poof is mentally about 5 through most of Season 6, and mentally 7 throughout Season 7. From “Love Triangle” on, he’s mentally 10 or 11.
Anti-Fairy babies mature sooner than Fairy ones. No surprise there. Foop was born mentally 6 years old, but also with advanced vocabulary automatically imprinted in his brain
There’s a joke to be made here about the Fae being so used to their kids being mentally 10 years old for what seems like forever that they didn’t even notice the time stream was frozen for 50 years and Timmy wasn’t aging
55 ~ 140,000+
Juvenile years revolve around school; teachers, residential advisors, and classmates are critical in a Fairy's life.
After the first year of school - the adjustment year - the cohort moves to a boarding school layout. It's inconvenient to reshuffle roommate assignments every few years (especially since these are very young children living away from home), so roommate assignments last for your entire public school life (unless people request to be changed). You get new roommates if you attend a special post-grad school like the Fairy Academy.
- Many people consider their roommates essentially family. At the very least, they're close friends
- Poof, Foop, Finley, and Sammy are roommates (Hence Sammy's presence in "Certifiable Super Sitter"). Due to the May Blossom War, Foop dropped out and was replaced with Whistle.
When Foop returned during his older years, he was assigned to room with Whistle's counterpart (Soren). Their relationship turned violent fast and Foop and Whistle were switched
Not much changes as a Fairy kid grows, as they still have a long way to go before their adulthood. Depending on the child’s individual maturity level, they may appear anywhere between 8 and 13; they will probably be closer to 8 in the beginning and gradually mature to 13 towards the end.
Technically, the Fae are age sliders and may shift up and down their maturity spectrum at any time; but this flexibility is not particularly noticeable this young.
Poof grew up always comparing himself to humans. He had a really rough time in his youth because he didn’t seem to be aging like his parents’ human godkids. Lots of self-esteem issues
Fairy pheromones grow stronger during this time, but not as strong as they'll be as an adult. Gyne freckles begin to darken.
Pregnancy is impossible during the juvenile years as Fae have not yet reached sexual maturity. The parallel of "teen pregnancy" would be pregnancy after coming into your adult wings, but being younger than age of majority (See below).
~140,000 - 180,000+
At some point between these years, Fairies and Anti-Fairies experience puberty; the exact time is different for everyone. Experiencing puberty is also known as “getting your adult wings”, due to the fact that Fairies literally moult their wings (Anti-Fairies don’t).
The proper term for a Fairy or Anti-Fairy at this age is “adult”, even though they may be mentally a teen. A Fairy or Anti-Fairy stops growing when they get their adult wings. This is also when they reach sexual maturity.
---Fairy culture is big on "you know yourself better than anyone," so a wide range of options opens to you once you get your adult wings. However, age of majority doesn't hit until 200,000 years of age.
- From this point on, you can divide the age of a fairy by 11,250 to get their age in human years. They will now continue aging 1 human year for every 11,250 years
- This number is a guideline. Anti-Fairies tend to be mentally older and more mature than Fairies (They're born advanced from the start)
Anti-Fairies are legally considered adults at the age 150,000 (13 for a human), regardless of whether or not they have their adult wings. Anything that involves legal adulthood, they can do starting at 150,000- including signing paperwork, drinking, driving, fighting in war, and getting tossed in adult jail.
- Some Anti-Fairies may have their adult wings at this age while others don't
- In Frayed Knots, Anti-Cosmo was groomed by his boyfriend; he was legal age and guided towards kissing and sexual activities even though he didn't have his adult wings.
He did consent, but Anti-Wanda absolutely clocked that something fishy happened there when she found out about it years later. Anti-Cosmo is still in denial
Poof and Foop got their adult wings at 140,000 and became sexually active [with their respective partners] around 150,000. I tag works from their teen years that reference sexuality as "Implied/Referenced Underage Sex."
Their societies treat them as young adults (and 10k years passed before they even became physical, allowing more opportunity for development and decisions than human adolescents), but you can decide your own comfort on that and they are tagged Underage for that reason. You may want to check tags while reading Lavender Train arc especially.
Lavender Train is about popular high school kids who are stressed out all the time. More mature adults would not be making the decisions they are making and this arc may not be for everyone
"Teen pregnancy" - or rather, young adult pregnancy - isn’t much a thing in Anti-Fairy society; Anti-Fairies physically can’t get pregnant unless their counterpart is, which has led to their culture being very loose (See the upcoming "Class Overview: Anti-Fairies" chapter for more info on their sociosexual culture).
Historically, Fairies mate late in life since before Cupid's family took charge of things, Fairy damsels would die after mating.
It’s VERY expected that Anti-Fairies will engage in sexual intimacy not long after getting their adult wings. In fact, it's considered bizarre for an Anti-Fairy to get their adult wings and remain a virgin for more than a few centuries unless they’re waiting for their special someone to come into maturity. If you’re in a relationship and you’re both mature virgins... Why??? It’s just the way their culture is. Very casual, not a lot of consequences.
- A sexually transmitted disease called the iris virus is very coveted in Anti-Fairy society; it has several effects, but one is changing eye color from default red to the same color as the Fairy counterpart.
- Foop was born with his iris virus. One of the reasons he doesn't engage in sex often is the social expectation that he won't pass it around.
- Foop lit Anti-Marigold's eyes shortly after they were 150,000 (Poof and Goldie found out in "Watch and Learn"). However, they're not particularly active; he did this mostly to see if his dad pays enough attention to his life to bring it up with him. So far... no dice. Foop is very "not on the edge of a breakdown about his daddy issues" at any given time.
~200,000+
Continued adulthood. You’ve finished puberty, you’ve got your adult wings, you've reached age of majority, and you are totally an adult. Age of majority allows purchase of candy and soda, fighting in war, marriage without parental permission, and child adoptions. Cosmo, Wanda, and the majority of Fairies and Anti-Fairies we see in the show are at this stage of development.
Age of majority for pixies is 250,000, because H.P. freaked out at the thought of his pixies wanting to leave him at the age of 200,000 and legally boosted age of majority during a court case called Whimsifinado v. Caudwell. However, he looks the other way where sugar is concerned. Honestly, you can have sugar under the age of 200,000 and he won’t care. He loves his soda.
Not much changes in this time period. A fairy experiences 12 more moults before the senescent stage of life.
Average of 800,000 Years
In late adulthood, a Fairy and Anti-Fairy will experience another stage of the life cycle. It’s called the senescent stage; this is the stage H.P. is in during Timmy's time period (He’s genetically identical to all the other pixies, but looks a little different because he’s in a later stage of development).
This is the “wearing down” stage, when a Fairy or Anti-Fairy is older and beyond their prime. They can’t heal as well as they used to; a Fairy or pixie who badly tears their senescent wings will never be able to fly again. A Fairy in their senescent stage is capable of dying from an illness, whereas in their juvenile or adult years, that’s extremely rare because Fairies have powerful immune systems and healing abilities.
The time a Fairy reaches this stage depends on many factors; Anti-Fairies only reach this stage if their Fairy counterpart does. Using magic speeds up aging. Being more conservative with your magic usage will let you age more slowly, though you can’t stop it completely. Other factors, such as physical health and how near or far you live from the Big Wand, play into this too.
By Anti-Fairy law, a reigning High Count / High Countess must step down if they reach the senescent stage of their life cycle.
These Anti-Fairies are still greatly respected in Anti-Fairy culture; but this is a reminder that hey, you’re getting old, and you should definitely let your heir take the reins if you haven’t yet (and be a guide to help them along)
Foop was born when Anti-Cosmo was about 381,444 years old, and Anti-Wanda was 394,777. If his parents were to hold onto their positions until they hit their senescent stages, Foop would take the High Count seat around the mental age of 30 [based off the assumption that Anti-Wanda would reach the senescent stage first (Maybe around the age 730,000, which would be 335,000 years from now), and Anti-Cosmo would simply step down at the same time.]
However, other key components are in play... such as the rule that if the current heir presumptive has offspring, their chance to rule passes over them to the offspring instead. Unless, of course... That very young heir disappeared.
[Poof pregnancy arc looming on the horizon...]
School Comparisons Across the Years
H.P.'s Generation
- No tile floors
- Tablets and chisels used for writing
- Spellementary classes were held only Saturday and Wednesday, and Academy classes 3 days per week

- In Yugopotamian culture, youth are given simple names and they choose a new, more complex name once they're wed to their life partner. Mark's adult name is Marqavalier.
- When it comes to addressing her husband, Vicky uses "Mark" for Mark's alien form and "Justin" for his human form. She does know they're the same person (and tolerates Mark's shapeshifting shenanigans), but she tends to think of him as Justin.
- In Cloudlands AU, Vicky and Mark [Justin] live on Yugopotamia, with Vicky taking the name Victriona in line with Yugopotamian name culture. In City Lights AU, they live in Dimmadelphia, keeping undercover as humans, so she keeps the name Vicky.
- Vicky owns a fake-i-fier, given to her by Mark. She genuinely likes her Yugopotamian form and the extra arms it gives her, especially as she's trying to split attention between multiple kids. She's often in that form while at home.
- Rufus is Mark and Vicky's only human kid; the other 5 are aliens. Rufus owns a fake-i-fier and can shapeshift like his siblings.
- In Cloudlands AU, Timmy's endgame spouse is left open for readers. Tootie is set up as a very possible option, so she has no future family listed here.

A guide to Anti-Fairy colony terminology and social rules.
This post discusses non-human Anti-Fairy society, which places value in things - including relationships - that are "opposite" of what we might consider safe or moral today. As always, this worldbuilding is fictional and should not be held up as a positive role model for humans.

BASICS
It should come as no surprise that Anti-Fairies, being bat people, live in colonies. Some travel, others stay still, and some are divided into categories such as unmarried or nursing individuals. We cover them all below!
Subcultures may vary, but traditionally, damsels can speak to other Anti-Fairies, but are forbidden to speak directly to all but the lowest-ranked Fairies.
Colonies share the creche father's family name.
Anti-Fairy society as a whole welcomes same-sex couples. They're all about living freely and partnering with whomever you like- They cannot become pregnant until their Fairy counterparts do, and it's expected someday, most people will experience the honey-lock instinct and mate with a potential stranger... possibly becoming pregnant in the process. Since the Fairies pull the puppet strings, why not live your own life wherever you can?
Honey-lock: The flood of hormones that hits an Anti-Fairy pair 3 months after their counterparts mate, driving them to find each other and mate in response).
Anti-Fairy society is very patriarchal- It always has been and likely will be far into the future. Colonies are headed by a drake - the creche father - whose duty is to look after the damsels and pups born into his colony.
Drake and damsel are gendered terms for fae
The creche father speaks for his colony. Where Fairy society is big on honesty, straightforward communication, and occasional fights to the death, Anti-Fairy society is a game of mind and politeness, not brute strength. They consider direct confrontation rude, so most avoid it when possible. Instead, low-rank Anti-Fairies will convey their feelings to more dominant members (such as a creche father or parent), who then convey that message to another individual- Likely the creche father or parent of the offender.
Anti-Fairy society draws inspiration not just from bats, but also bonobos- A social species known for turning to their mothers for education, matchmaking, and protection.
This plays into many Anti-Fairies growing up with their mothers rather than fathers. Some fathers raise the children they sire, but in a society where mating and pregnancy lie with the whims of your Fairy counterpart, families are complicated. Most children are raised by the mother and those she lives with, which may or may not include the biological sire.
In turn, children born into a drake's existing marriage - As in, those born to a damsel he's married to - are legally his to raise, whether or not he sired them.
Ex: Anti-Cosmo was born into the marriage of his mother and her legal partner, who was not his sire. Foop was born into the marriage of two honey-lock partners (Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda).
TYPES OF COLONIES
Live Colony - Any colony that regularly travels the land. Most colonies fall into this category.
The term "traveling colony" is also valid, but less common.
Standing Colony - Any colony that does not regularly travel the land. The Blue Castle colony is a prime example- They stay near the government building (which was once a place of study akin to an abbey or monestary before it was repurposed).
Colonies in the Eros Nest likewise do not travel.
Half Rotation - Any colony that restricts mating choice to a few dominant individuals ("Mating" refers to mating outside the honey-lock).
In other words, it is NOT socially acceptable for servants or damsels to initiate interest in mating; they're expected to be submissive to high-ranked individuals. Traditionally, the Blue Castle is a standing colony in half rotation.
In most half rotation colonies, unmarried individuals are expected to reciprocate if approached. Rejecting the creche father is a very tense gray area; do so at your own risk. Legal marriage to another individual provides a social safety blanket where rejecting another's advances is much more acceptable.
Full Rotation - Any colony that permits all individuals to mate with any colony member of their choosing (with consent). In other words, it IS socially acceptable for servants and damsels to initiate interest.
Joining rotation as a damsel is opt-in. It is always socially acceptable to refuse in a full rotation colony.
The above four labels are applied to the following three colony types. For instance, you would describe a colony as “a full rotation traditional colony” or “a standing nursing colony.”
Traditional Colony - A colony headed by a creche father, who has a follower drake and either a king or queen (Ruling partner). Beyond the follower drake and a possible king, additional drakes are uncommon.
The majority of the colony consists of damsels. Unmarried damsels "belong" to the creche father; damsels are either in half or full rotation. Traditionally, only the creche father mates with the damsels in his colony- The follower drake is encouraged to slip away and mate with damsels (or drakes) of other colonies. Much less tension with the people you live with that way.
Anti-Fairy births are biased in favor of damsels (with a roughly 75%-25% split).
As a stereotype, creche fathers with fruit bat heritage are more welcoming of low-rank drakes. Creche fathers without fruit bat heritage are more likely to drive rival males from the colony, forcing them to join or form bachelor colonies instead.
Traditional colonies range in size, but you can expect them to fall between 8 and 200 individuals. Some colonies may be even smaller, especially if led by a less experienced creche father.
Bachelor Colony - A colony consisting only of unpartnered drakes (or drakes in long-distance relationships who have not physically settled down) - usually young - who travel together.
It’s rare for an Anti-Fairy drake to go their whole life without joining a bachelor colony. In fact, many subcultures consider such travel to be a rite of passage and/or an important stage of life and growth. If you hope to impress a mate, having travel and personal caretaking experience looks better on you than staying with your birth colony long-term... especially if you still live with Mama.
Some drakes may never settle with a non-bachelor colony. Bachelor colonies are constantly in motion; they are always live and only settle in one spot if there are only two or three individuals.
Bachelor colonies usually have 8 to 20 individuals, but groups of about 5 aren't uncommon. A colony can have as few as 2 members and still be considered a colony.
Nursing Colony - A colony consisting only of damsels, usually ones with young pups and no mate to help them. Such colonies are rare since Anti-Fairy society frowns on damsels who travel without a creche father; society encourages them to join a drake-headed colony as soon as possible. After all, they're not equipped to look after themselves!
Young damsels may travel together even when not nursing pups. If so, they're still categorized as a nursing colony... implication being it's expected at least one of them will have a baby soon enough.
Nursing colonies aren't as common in modern times as they were a few generations back, but they do exist. They most likely have between 5 and 20 damsels in their ranks.
=====
COLONY RANKS
The Creche Father - Head of an Anti-Fairy colony; often addressed as "Father" by those within the colony, though this isn't required (and some prefer personal names). If you have a favor to ask - or are here to visit someone - you should speak to the creche father so he can assess you before you go about your business. Beelining for someone else first will cause immediate tension in the colony, even if they're a relative.
The High Count is always creche father of the Blue Castle colony. The Blue Castle is a government building, so the titles go hand in hand.
- High Count Anti-Bryndin - Pictured at top with H.P. - was succeeded by High Count Anti-Cosmo. Foop is studying to take over after his father (and will presumably adopt the name High Count Anti-Poof).
- Prior Foop's birth, Anti-Cosmo's heir presumptive was Talon Anti-Lunifly, who would've gone on to be High Count Anti-Westley.
- Foop's inheritance is not assured. He's kept in check by the threat of losing his inheritance... Most probably, to his younger brother Smoky (Anti-Dusty). He also has several second cousins who could take over as well.
It's the creche father's duty to watch over his colony: he settles disputes, organizes meals, chooses travel routes, and leads the colony to mingle with others during migration season.
Being a sociosexual species (like bonobos), Anti-Fairies often soothe each other with physical touch (Like hugs, nuzzling, or touching a leg under the table). It's widely inappropriate for most to use violence directly towards another person.
However, the creche father has a little more leeway when it comes to keeping the colony in line. Cuffing someone behind the wings or head is common, with nipping someone's wing or ear (with fangs) slightly more dramatic. Full-on violence is still rare even for a creche father, but they're expected to defend themselves - and those in their care - in a magical fight if required to do so.
He's expected to raise any pups in the colony with the same care he would as if they're his own... or perhaps as a third parent rather than a second, depending on how many people are involved in the pup's direct care.
The creche father has the right to mate with all drakes and damsels in his colony, with individual colonies outlining their own rules for opt-in and opt-out. While full rotation colonies can reject advances with little concern, it is not socially acceptable to reject the creche father if he initiates in a half rotation colony- You're his. Is that how you react to someone who takes such good care of you?
It’s also not acceptable to initiate towards the creche father... He is, after all, the most dominant individual in the colony.
Traditions are more lax in very small colonies with only a handful of members. In large colonies, traditions are expectations.
The Colony King / Queen - The king or queen is the officially acknowledged mate or ruling partner of the creche father- Presumably a legally married one, though unmarried partners are acceptable.
The king or queen may have special privileges such as emotional intimacy as well as minor responsibilities such as assisting their partner. However, they do not speak for the colony and are not held to the same expectations of duty that a creche father is.
King and queen are not royal titles. They are not inherited by birth and they do not outrank the High Count or High Countess titles- They simply indicate partnership with the creche father.
- High Countess Anti-Wanda is queen of the Blue Castle colony. During Anti-Cosmo's mysterious disappearance in "You'll Never Know," she chose a new king to rule beside until his return.
- Throughout Cloudlands AU works, Foop waffles between whether he should select a king or queen as his ruling partner, as he's more interested in finding someone skilled in politics or colony management than an intimate partner to rule beside... He has his mistress Anti-Marigold for that.
- In the one-shot "No Absolutes," Anti-Wanda asked Anti-Cosmo if he'd put the pups under his care to bed. Anti-Cosmo protested that their mothers could do that; after all, he was busy.
Towards the end of that 'fic, Anti-Cosmo complained that the pups and many other members of the Blue Castle colony like Anti-Wanda more than him. While she may not be held to the same parental expectations, she tends to play the role better than the easily distracted Anti-Cosmo.
The Follower Drake - The follower drake is a single high-ranking male just below the creche father in authority. His role is to assist and support the creche father, especially if the creche father has no king or queen. Drakes are often shooed out of colonies due to rivalry, but the follower drake is protected from that fate and permitted to stay.
While the creche father is expected to look after young pups, the follower drake is expected to teach young juveniles life skills (such as hunting, cooking, reading, bathing on their own, or spreading bad luck). This frees up the creche father so he can continue managing the colony, but he's likely bonded close enough with the pups that they respect him.
- In Anti-Cosmo's youth, High Count Anti-Bryndin chose Anti-Buster as his follower drake.
- Anti-Cosmo later climbed the ranks and was named the follower himself (under the special title First General in the Blue Castle colony).
- High Count Anti-Cosmo's follower drake is his cousin, Anti-Poof Anti-Everwish.
The follower drake does NOT have the right to mate with the drakes and damsels of the colony except their honey-lock partner. However, some colonies may be more lenient with this tradition than others. When colonies mingle, follower drakes will often flirt with members of another colony under the rival creche father’s nose.
A creche father and follower drake may be intimate or non-intimate partners; relationships vary between colonies. However, someone who is treated like a mate is likely to be ranked a king, not a follower.
The position of follower drake usually requires experience with a colony. Not necessarily - After all, some drakes become creche fathers by simply starting their own colony - but a follower drake is likely the most experienced drake in the flock (barring the creche father), which reduces infighting.
Ranking Drakes - Drakes that hold high rank and are not chased out of the colony by the creche father. This is much more common in standing colonies than live colonies.
Ranking drakes are often school students, scholars, aristocrats, or politicians. Anti-Fairy World highly values architects as well as demon summoners. Mediums to the nature spirits are also people you may not want to shoo off.
The honey-lock partner of a high-ranking Anti-Fairy within the colony might be considered a ranking drake as well. If Foop joined a bachelor colony, he'd likely not be chased out because he's considered an aristocrat.
Ranking drakes are likely older or more experienced than serving drakes.
Claimed Damsels - Legally married damsels who will follow their mates to other colonies. Marriage shifts responsibility for their care to their partner and thus, they can freely withhold the "benefits" of caretaking - i.e. the sex - from their creche father.
Many damsels look forward to marriage due to many legal protections and opportunities within Anti-Fairy society.
However, rejecting a very high-ranking creche father (like the High Count) is still a wobbly gray area. Such is Anti-Fairy life.
Damsels in Rotation - Damsels the creche father permits others to mate with. They may be offered to creche fathers (or follower drakes) of other colonies as a gesture of peace and goodwill.
Consent and rejection may be socially acceptable in some cases, but cause tension in others.
A damsel living with a creche father she's related to is most likely in rotation and avoiding the creche father's advances. What's mating on rare occasion with a foreign drake in return for living in a colony where you won't be pressured into sex on the regular?
Unclaimed Damsels - Unmarried damsels of any age who stay with their birth colony (or similar caretaking colony) if their family and/or mate leave. When they come of age, they become the creche father’s concubines by default. It is usually not acceptable for anyone besides the creche father to mate with them.
- Technically, a dame named Anti-Scarlett is classed as Anti-Cosmo's concubine for one simple reason: she's unmarried and lives at the Blue Castle (for her job in politics). On paper, she's under Anti-Cosmo's care and he helps with her kids.
- All other damsels on the camarilla are married (See Modern Camarilla Court).
Serving Drakes - Drakes who aren't chased from a colony, but don't hold high rank. Instead, they provide services such as childcare and food preparation. Such drakes are more common in standing colonies, but not unheard of in live colonies.
Generally, serving drakes end up in this position because they came of age to leave with a bachelor colony, but never did.
Serving drakes are the lowest-ranked individuals. They aren't typecast for any specific reason- they just didn't leave and are given the chance to pull their weight if they want to stay. In return for the food, shelter, socialization, and care they receive from the creche father, serving drakes are forbidden from mating with the colony's damsels.
Anti-Cosmo's father was a serving drake in the Blue Castle colony.
Some drakes prefer the serving lifestyle as it's low-risk and doesn't require thinking much for yourself. Other drakes are eager to start their own colony. Some do start their own while others may opt to serve for a time so they can see how a colony works in practice before setting off on their own.
Colonies with experienced members are usually more stable than those comprised of inexperienced members.

- Eunice and Quincy Tuckfield appeared as mini golf course owners in Baby, You're a Rich Man. Gary was raised on that golf course until his parents divorced when he was 8.
- Eunice is one of Juandissimo's former godkids. In Rich Man Chapter 10, Sanderson notices one of her wishes was never undone after their godkid-godparent separation: That she would never screw up so badly, her future husband left her as a result.
- Gary's relationship with his family members is a focus of Pink and Gray. Among other details he recounts, Gary says his grandfather became very confused after Eunice's death, and he didn't seem to recognize any of his family or know where he was. Hmm...
- Gary's half-siblings live in Kansas. Penny is the only one he's in contact with as an adult.
- Gary has XYZ chromosomes (as opposed to the XXZ of his ancestors). He and his half-brother Benjamin are both sterile, so Crimsona's line can only continue through Penny and Isabel.
- Luis Magnifico is a drone, and sterile. Crimsona granted his wish for children. She granted him pregnancy with a snap of her fingers, so Luis had all three counterparts as triplets.
- Luis's children are luz mala: Fae children born of a wish. Poof, Foop, and Poppy are also luz mala, but not genie-formed.
- Juandissimo and his counterparts are also sterile, so the Magnifico line can't continue through them biologically. Remy is his legally adopted child (See also, Yellow Train story arc)
- My original plan for Remy's future was that he takes in an orphan ex-godkid as his heir, who would later go on to marry Dale's son (Dave; I retconned him when A New Wish aired).
-> At this point in time, I'm unsure if I'll continue my plans with Remy's heir. I like to think Dale would set Dev up with that heir if he could, but I'll probably retcon some bitterness and how this character lost their godparent (due to similarities with Dev splitting from Peri). This character never had a name, so we'll find out what it is together.
Lovell Family Tree
- Peppy Happy Betty & the Burger World Employee's line. The Johnson side of their family is full of Swedish immigrants and is the side they're most familiar with.
- Thomas and Tammy appeared as kids in Baby, You're a Rich Man. H.P. forced Sanderson to kill them off in the opening scene of Pink and Gray so the Pixies could adopt their kids.
- Betty is in a serious relationship with Pete the Polar Bear (fellow Learnatorium employee).
- Kenny arrived on Earth in "Shouldn't Have Survived." Due to working at Burger World, he continued aging while the timestream was frozen ("Timmy's Secret Wish") and "surpassed" Betty and Gary in age.
-> He cameos on occasion throughout the Purple Train story arc, trying to pick up the pieces of his life.

Bio: Whistle was the first baby in the common fairy subspecies born after Poof. His parents - Coleen and Richter Fernfire - are fabulously wealthy snobs who oversee several gem mines... They're constantly trying to one-up Cosmo and Wanda and make their precious son as big a celebrity as Poof is. No one cares.
Whistle himself is relaxed and overly friendly. He and Poof have been on the same Little League saucerbee team since they were in Spellementary. They both continue the sport through high school and work out together. They had a lot of playdates growing up and know each other pretty well... despite Cosmo and Wanda's exhaustion and irritation towards Richter and Coleen.
Despite his pushy parents, Whistle doesn’t expect to become a celebrity himself. Still, he’s constantly giddy that he gets to hang out with famous faces like Poof, Foop, Goldie, Anti-Coriander... He has a crush on all four and would date them all if he could. Super-fan or stalker? You decide!
He's "open" about his attraction to Anti-Fairies, but will stutter, flush, and giggle if you bring up the topic of romance. See also, "Happy Holidays."
Whistle is a hard worker who seems to perform well in everything, especially physical activities like sports. He's always happy to offer tutoring, run errands, and do any favor you ask for. What a great guy!
He moved into Poof, Sammy, and Finley's dorm after Foop dropped out when the May Blossom War began. However, he changed rooms when Foop returned for high school.
Whistle appears in "Approval," Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies, "Happy Holidays," "First Impressions," and more 'fics to come.
He often appears in saucerbee scenes or works about school, such as when Foop saw him and Soren on the playground in "Sentry."

ANTI-WHISTLE SOREN ANTI-FERNFIRE
Occupation: Student; young aristocrat; future spa owner
Birthday: February 13th, 2009 (Breath)
Height: 3′5″ (Tall for an anti-fairy; average for a fae)
Age As of Devil’s Backbone: 163,254 (Mentally teen)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
MBTI: ESFJ (Turbulent)
Love Language: Words of affirmation
Handedness: Right dominant
Hometown: Luna’s Landing - Anti-Fairy World’s capital city, located in a crater and lit by glowing crystals
Core: Birdhouse
Core Color: Blue (Layer 1 Yellow; Layer 2 Blue)
Crown Lift: Average
Wand Type: Ebony
Fagiggly Color: Teal
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Snow monkey Rhino
Bio: Anti-Whistle (Soren) is a regular little socialite who had the misfortune of being born to rich parents who couldn’t care less about their image. Sure, the Anti-Fernfire family has run the spa and castle-like hotel that Anti-Fairies have migrated to for hundreds of thousands of years, but his mom would rather do paperwork with Anti-Cosmo and his dad would rather fiddle around with his inventions. What's a little spa heir to do? ... Take control at a young age, that's what.
Foop and Anti-Whistle aren't stepbrothers, but they are crechemates: Anti-Whistle lives at the Blue Castle and is someone Foop grew up with.
Anti-Whistle and Foop are painfully similar in a way neither will admit: They both prefer taking charge and can't stand working in unorganized conditions. But while Foop struggles with analysis paralysis, the threat of losing his inheritance hanging over him in a way that keeps him in line, Anti-Whistle's at risk of losing his inheritance if he doesn't act. Despite his nerves and frequent panic attacks, he seizes control, comes out successful, and is widely admired by the same crowd that shuns Foop as being an out-of-hand fireball. Good thing that won't come back to haunt the political landscape...
Despite being arguably more successful at running things than Foop is, Anti-Whistle is a massive suck-up who is constantly trying to impress Foop with his political skills... Foop knows Anti-Whistle will be useful someday so he doesn’t want to cut ties with him, but he finds him incredibly annoying. It's a shame the guy would probably be a great partner to rule beside...
Foop’s dream is to be the first Anti-Fairy to graduate from the Fairy Academy, so he sees fellow student Soren as the rival who stands in his way. When Anti-Cosmo returned from his mysterious disappearance (à la “You’ll Never Know”), Foop finally went back to school and was assigned to be Anti-Whistle’s roommate. That didn't last long, and Foop was placed with Poof, Sammy, and Finley again instead.
As part of their counterpart link, Anti-Whistle has crushes on all the same people Whistle does (Foop included) and doesn’t really know how to deal with these feelings... Whistle is overly excited to talk to his crushes while Anti-Whistle is a panicky mess.
Anti-Whistle makes a few appearances throughout 130 Reasons Why I'm Fairy Trash and other projects.
He usually appears in Blue Castle scenes during Foop's youth or 'fics about school, such as "Sentry" (where Foop sees him on the playground and young Soren gets spooked), "Naptime" (where Foop throws a sleepover), and "Approval" (where Whistle brought him along to the high school dance).

Family Tree || Fairy Class Overview || Poof, Foop, and Hiccup's Bios
Fernfire Family Tree (via GenoPro); click to enlarge
- The most notable character in this tree is Whistle: the second baby in the common fairy subspecies born after the baby ban was lifted (Right on Poof's heels). Coleen makes minor appearances in Frayed Knots, usually selling jewelry.
- Coleen and Richter wasted no time in having multiple kids and love rubbing their babies in Wanda's face... the Fernfires and Fairywinkles have been rivals for a long time.
- The Fernfires are one of the cloudlands' old money families, and one of 3 families who've passed their surname down over 100 generations (alongside the Whimsifinados and Sparklefields). They belong to House Rhino and are known for infighting... probably due to having large families.
- The Fernfires are jewelers who own most of the cloudland mines. Most gems have passed through their hands- Even the ceremonial ones used by Anti-Fairies.
- Coleen is also rivals with her cousin, Tiger. Dottie and Dashell are younger than Whistle, but their parents are always pushing them to be the best... preferably in ways that show up Whistle and Coleen.
- Arlo Fernfire was a gyne, but everyone else shown above is a kabouter.
- The Fernfire and Anti-Fernfire families are unusual for the fact that both sides of the counterpart line are aristocrats.
Anti-Fernfire Family Tree
- The most notable character in this tree is Soren Anti-Whistle: the second baby in the common anti-fairy subspecies born after the baby ban was lifted (Right on Foop's heels). Anti-Coleen makes several appearances in Frayed Knots (and other stories).
- Anti-Coleen holds the Seat of Breath on the camarilla court; she's based on a character who was in the dining room during "Fairly Odd Baby." She and Anti-Cosmo didn't grow up together, but have known each other since their young adulthood.
-> When the nature spirit Saturn ditched Anti-Cosmo's mother as his medium, he quickly presented himself to Anti-Coleen's father, Anti-Tuck. Up until this point, Anti-Tuck was considered "a nobody" apart from being Anti-Candela's honey-lock partner. It was a whole thing when "this random guy" was brought into the camarilla court.
- Anti-Coleen has "claimed damsel" status within the Blue Castle colony and is married to Anti-Richter, though she and Anti-Cosmo have flirted several times throughout the years. She herself is not technically "under Anti-Cosmo's care," but her kids are since he's their creche father.
-> In Reedfilter Rules AU, Anti-Coleen is one of the damsels Anti-Cosmo's mother wants to set him up with. They go on a date in RR Chapter 4.
-> Foop and Soren aren't stepbrothers, but they are crechemates: two individuals of about the same age growing up in the same colony.
- The Anti-Fernfires run Maplefeather Point: the spring migration location of the Anti-Fairies.
-> Maplefeather is a high-class hotel and spa built from a castle. It welcomes visitors of all races during the off-season. During migration, it's difficult - but not impossible - to get a reservation if you're not an Anti-Fairy, but you'd better have the family name to back it up.
The way Fairies track calendar years vs. the way Anti-Fairies do: A small but interesting detail in my 'fic headers.
What is an Aurora?
An aurora is a 5,000-year unit of measurement in Fae culture. It's named after the Aurora Fairyalis from "When L.O.S.E.R.S. Attack." Wanda claims it prevents magic usage on Earth for 28 weeks. No frequency of this event was confirmed, so I opted for 5,000 years.
The Fae age slowly, with 11,250 years as the rough parallel for 1 human year (In regards to average lifespan and the rate at which the magical societies progress through generation aesthetics; for example, I designed teen Poof and his dorm to fit with Fairy World in its 70s era).
How Are Auroras Used?
Auroras help people define time periods. They mark age differences in ways less dramatic than a full generation.
Ex: In Anti-Fairy society, the year you were born determines which element on the Fae zodiac you fall under. In polite society, you should defer to those of the more dominant zodiac. This affects social situations, ceremonies, and even which role you can take in a sexual relationship with another individual.
- In the Frayed Knots chapter "House of Cards," Anti-Cosmo was embarrassed to explain to his long-time friend that he would rather play a submissive role than a dominant one (and Anti-Lance was shocked to hear him admit this).
Auroras separate age groups. It's because of the aurora measurement that an adult won't defer to a young child in social situations, even if the child was born in the dominant zodiac year. In this case, the child would defer to the adult because they're older.
The aurora division is less useful between adults and children (where age difference is clear), but commonly brought up when groups of adults wish to determine which of them is older. Age may determine who is first in line for a promotion, who in a large extended family receives the most inheritance, who organizes a meal, or so on.
Where Do Fairy and Anti-Fairy Society Differ?
Fairy World has existed for a long time. In fact, Fairy World is the proper name for the entire cloudland colony... that is, not only Fairy World itself, but also Anti-Fairy World and Pixie World.
- Anti-Fairy World split off from Fairy World during the War of the Sunset Divide. Before this point, there was no Anti-Fairy World and the aesthetics for both landscapes were consistent across the cloudlands. All races could come and go across the land as they wished. That is to say, the skies were uniformly violet and the clouds puffy and bright.
- Pixie World is a micronation surrounded by Fairy World on all sides.
- H.P. was two years old when Anti-Fairy World became a recognized society.
A wide-held belief among Fairies is that Fairy and Anti-Fairy counterparts were once united beings, but were forcibly split generations ago; they're now born separately, but are linked with a magical connection.
The Aos Sí are said to be the ancestors of Fairies, and it's believed their bodies split apart to become Fairies, Anti-Fairies, and Refracts (as recorded by one of the only surviving texts from this time period: a hotly debated book of poetry called Rhoswen's Journal that perhaps shouldn't be taken literally).
- "That Was Then" is a Rhoswen-centric one-shot featuring snippets from his journal.
The last of the Aos Sí was an individual named Kahnii the Thoughtful. Year 0 in the Fairy calendar is set approximately 40 million years pre-series and supposedly marks the year Kahnii split into separate counterparts, thus bringing an end to the Aos Sí race.
The Anti-Kahnii went on to marry Anti-Shylinda: a very important figure for Anti-Fairies and a major character in "That Was Then."
- Art post of Kahnii
- Anti-Wanda is a direct descent of Anti-Shylinda; she's listed on the Anti-Fairywinkle family tree
- Anti-Shylinda took the family name Anti-Coppertalon. You may recognize this surname as belonging to the High Count before Anti-Cosmo: Anti-Bryndin Anti-Coppertalon.
-> Anti-Wanda would have been heir to the High Countess seat if Anti-Bryndin's elder half-brother (the Anti-Big Daddy) hadn't been nudged out of inheritance due to being born without colored eyes (A blessing from the nature spirits).
Anti-Fairies, however, do not particularly care for Anti-Kahnii's supposed Splitting date. In fact, Anti-Fairies widely follow the Zodii belief system, which doesn't believe in Splitting at all; instead, it's thought that Anti-Fairies are creatures of smoke who magically link themselves to those they care about. After all, Anti-Fairies are born smoke clouds, and how can Fairies argue with that?
Anti-Fairies count auroras from the time the War of the Sunset ended (and Anti-Fairy World began). Aurora 0 in the Anti-Fairy calendar is Aurora 7868 in the Fairy calendar.
I use dates in the headers of my FOP fanfics, especially the 130 Prompts. Many works take place in the early 2000s, so an aurora date isn't specified; the year is given instead.
Some works do contain aurora dates, and whether that date is given in the Fairy or the Anti-Fairy calendar is dependent on the main character of that 'fic.
Examples
Fairy Calendar:
- "Hate That I Love You" - H.P.'s dad POV - Aurora 7868
- "Watch and Learn" - Goldie POV - Aurora 8047
- "All I Ever Wanted" - Poof POV - Aurora 8049
Accurately, "All I Ever Wanted" takes place 10,000 years after "Watch and Learn"... 2 auroras later.
Anti-Fairy Calendar:
- "Gentlemanly" - Anti-Wanda POV - Aurora 131
- "Temptation" - Anti-Marigold POV - Aurora 176 (Despite taking place the evening of "Watch and Learn")
- "Approval" - Foop POV - Aurora 177 (Takes place 5,000 years - or 1 aurora - after "Temptation" and before "All I Ever Wanted")
While it's a small and easy-to-miss detail, I do think it's a neat part of my worldbuilding that emphasizes the Anti-Fairies seeing themselves as separate from Fairies and opting for a calendar that aligns with their people's significant events.
As the War of the Sunset Divide wrapped up, Anti-Fairies were chased out of Fairy World and into several different regions that became the newly formed Anti-Fairy World. Some were cut off from their families in the process.
Ex: Anti-Cosmo's grandmother (Anti-Miranda) was separated from her Fairy partner, Lucas Rainwings. Other individuals lost track of their families during the chaos.
The conclusion of war not only marks the beginning of Anti-Fairy World, but major shifts in their government... including the creation of a government in the first place. Prior the war, the Blue Castle was a home of scholars (akin to an abbey or monastery). It became a government building after the war, with young Anti-Bryndin raised as a prince beneath his mother, Anti-Ember.
Really, it's no wonder the Anti-Fairies like using their own calendar to reference the start of their organized society.
Side Note: H.P.'s generation and older are very convinced that the worlds literally split apart during the war (i.e. that the skies changed color and their "ground" environments changed as well, giving the Anti-Fairies a realm better suited to hunting animals than farming and vice versa for Fairies).
Cosmo and Wanda come from a generation divided on the topic. Poof and Foop grew up in a generation that's very skeptical the skies split, and the generations after them tend to wave the notion of a splitting sky away as complete rumor.

Brief bios about Jorgen's ward and Anti-Cosmo's original heir
WESTLEY TELFORD PERIWINKLE
Westley is an OC meant to be both the model advertising fancy candles in "The Big Fairy Share Scare" and the fairy baby Jorgen holds during his slideshow presentation in "Fairly Odd Baby"
Occupation: Professional teen model; child actor
Birthday: 2nd Thursday of September, Summer of the Slippery Cougar (Breath)
Height: 3′6″ (Average for a fae)
Age During Frozen Timestream: 89,999 (Mentally around 12)
Age As of Devil’s Backbone: 253,259 (Mentally 22)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
MBTI: ISTJ
Love Language: Physical touch
Handedness: Left dominant
Hometown: Faeheim - Fairy World’s capital city, located near the Big Wand
Core: Broken ram's horn
Core Color: Blue (Layer 1 Blue; Layer 2 Purple)
Crown Lift: High
Wand Type: Ipewood
Fagiggly Color: Lavender
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Fox
Bio: Westley was the *original* first fairy baby born thousands of years after the fairy baby ban, and is the reason Poof isn't called "the youngest fairy since Cosmo" or "the youngest in hundreds of thousands of years."
Westley was taken in by Jorgen and Binky, who prevented his biological parents from visiting him more than once every other millennium... the same fate that would have befallen Poof if Cosmo and Wanda hadn’t been so quick on the draw. He still blames his parents for not forming a connection with him in his youth and nowadays wants nothing to do with them whatsoever, even taking a new surname - Periwinkle - as a way of cutting ties. They didn't even fight for him? They must be the worst.
Like Poof, Westley has been treated like a celebrity his whole life simply for being the only young member of his subspecies during a time fairy children were banned. His popularity gave him a leg up in school. He's considered a child star in Fairywood.
Westley considers Blonda a mother figure, though neither of them would openly admit that. She taught him how to dye his hair and has guided him through much of his life. He still has Binky's rebellious spirit alongside Jorgen's high emotions and obsession with rules, but beneath his snappy exterior (and disdain for a never-ending string of charity events), Westley is an insecure kid raised by a pair who treated him more like a novelty than a family member. He's searching for the peace and closure to questions about his past and parents that haunt him every day.
Like Cosmo and many others in the common fairy subspecies born around Cosmo's time, Westley has a mutation that renders him unable to use magic unless he drinks nursing milk. Cosmo took the route of carrying milk in a bottle-shaped thermos while Westley took the route of living with limited magic.
Despite Westley's haughty, bitter persona, Poof has met him a few times and idolizes him as a big brother figure- He even convinced Foop to name their egg baby after him. Westley may be tense about sharing his spotlight with the new "first fairy baby" on the block, but he has nothing but nice things to say about his little cousin.
In City Lights AU, Poof even changed his name to Periwinkle because of Westley... but that's a whole story in itself.
Many rumors speculate that Blonda is in fact Westley's mom, seeing as Westley has the same cherry almond scent to his pheromones. Blonda always laughs this off - as she does with every celebrity child she's accused of being secretly related to - but who knows what she's hiding?
He made his first onscreen appearance during flashbacks in Prompt 70 - "Repeat" and appeared in modern times during Prompt 125 - "I Just Live Here" when he and Blonda arrived at the Fairywinkle household; Poof slept in Westley's room over spring break.
He's been namedropped in other stories like "Told You So." Additional appearances include "Nonbeliever," Frayed Knots, and Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies.

ANTI-WESTLEY TELFORD "TALON" ANTI-LUNIFLY
Talon is an OC meant to be the anti-fairy baby implied to have been raised by Anti-Cosmo and H.P. during Jorgen's slideshow presentation in "Fairly Odd Baby"
Occupation: Temple acolyte, part-time student; former heir to the High Count seat
Birthday: February 13th, Winter of the Slippery Cougar (Breath)
Height: 3′4″ (Average for a fae)
Age During Frozen Timestream: 89,999 (Mentally around 12)
Age As of Devil’s Backbone: 253,259 (Mentally 22)
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
MBTI: INTJ
Love Language: Quality time
Handedness: Right dominant
Hometown: Luna’s Landing - Anti-Fairy World’s capital city, located in a crater and lit by glowing crystals.
Secondary Hometown: Inkblot City - Pixie World’s bustling capital city; contains the buildings seen in show canon
Core: Broken ram's horn
Core Color: Blue (Layer 1 Yellow; Layer 2 Purple)
Crown Lift: Average
Wand Type: Clay
Fagiggly Color: Denim blue
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Hound
Bio: While his counterpart was raised by Jorgen and Binky, Talon was raised by Anti-Cosmo and H.P.... which went exactly as well as you'd expect. Both have their claws sunk into him and neither is willing to relinquish ties.
Talon compromises as best as he can with their wants in an attempt to keep Anti-Fairy/Pixie relations stable. He spends most of his time in Pixie World, ringing the bells in the Water Temple and bullying pixie children. Anti-Cosmo makes a special effort to visit him (and usually insists that H.P. keep away when he does because the three don’t make a good team).
Talon is loud, full of ideas, and always getting into trouble. He isn't high energy, but he's sly, snooty, and doesn't take being pushed around. He doesn’t like being touched, especially hugged, and especially not picked up. He got his name because of his tendency to scratch anyone who came near him as a child. Talon is a total braggart and never hesitates to fetch one of his “dads” if he thinks he can get someone in trouble; he has no shame about rubbing their status in your face.
Beyond that, he's a long-distance student of the Anti-Fairy Academy, where education consists mostly of personal research and presentations. He was raised alongside H.P.'s daughter, Commelina, and is a friend to Gary and Betty. He and Gary work on bikes together in their spare time.
He's also a hypochondriac, which is odd for an Anti-Fairy, yet here we are.
Talon has appeared in several stories, ranging from Pink and Gray (where he attends Camp Wannahurtastranger with Gary and Betty) to "Health Bars" (where he attends a funeral alongside his dads) and "No Absolutes" (where he fell asleep at the counter while working on homework, leaving Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda to put him to bed).
He briefly appears in Origin of the Pixies and is a notable character in the latter half of Frayed Knots: a story which revolves around Anti-Cosmo's quest to have a child, and Talon is the result of his shady experiments.
He also exists in Reedfilter Rules AU as Anti-Cosmo's illegitimate son, who is raised by Thirty-Seven (H.P.) in Pixie World.
Wherever you go in the Riddleverse, Talon Anti-Lunifly will be there...

von Strangle + Abdul Family Trees (via GenoPro); click to enlarge
- Jorgen and Binky are a gyne-drone pair; Binky is the gyne.
- Jorgen had a VERY poor relationship with his dad, who refused to accept his son is a drone. Jorgen came out about his drone status during his father's eulogy and he's been out ever since.
- Jorgen does not have a close relationship with his mom, whom he rarely sees. He's much closer to his nana, who taught him most of what he knows about being Keeper of Da Rules.
- Yvainna is the Fairy Elder (Her title namedropped in "Timmy's Secret Wish"). The von Strangle family take their names from her and have devoted their lives to protecting her, Fairy World, and Da Rules. In "Minion," Adelinda was seen as her personal attendant.
- Jorgen's cousin Leonard came up in "Cosmo Rules," as did Jorgen's distant cousin relationship with Cosmo.
- Petalia von Strangle is one of Myron's sisters. She had her son (Jasper) while not in close contact with her family, but died not long after. Nana Boom-Boom traced her family line and found Cosmo, only telling Jorgen this in "Cosmo Rules."
- Jorgen's niece (Ginny) was namedropped in "Fairly Odd Pet." She predates the ban on fairy babies.
- Cattahan is the Blue Robe on the Fairy Council during Timmy's time. H.P. was butler for his family in his younger years. Cattahan's parents cut him off for his radical politics (Namely that Fairies shouldn't mate unprotected or reproduce without asking their counterparts if they consent, as they're magically forced to mirror them).
- H.P. refers to Binky as Abdul Jr. and his father as Abdul. He and Abdul Sr. were in high school together, tensions high since they're both gynes.
- Binky's older brother (Draven) is based on a character who looks similar to him (and plays a similar role in conversation with Jorgen) in "Abra-catastrophe."
- Lotus died during the war with the Anti-Fairies.
- Robyn is the name my parents gave the tooth fairy when I was young, so I gave it to FOP's Tooth Fairy too.
- Jorgen and Binky took Westley from his parents and raised him together (The same fate that would have befallen Poof at the end of "Fairly Odd Baby" if Cosmo and Wanda hadn't tricked Jorgen with a doll). They took in Phoenix around the same time (See also, "Repeat")
- Jorgen's family are pureblood fairies, so you see a lot of very long-lived individuals on the von Strangle side of his family. They tend to mate late in life (playing into old traditions).
- Jorgen's twins are under pressure to decide which of them will take the role of Keeper of Da Rules and which will follow their mother's footsteps as Head Tooth Fairy. They're inseparable and can't bear to live separate lives, so their minds change all the time.
- Italy and Fanny made their first on-screen appearance at a high school dance in "Approval," where Foop remarked that Fang's mom would be disappointed she hung the posters crooked.

Age As of Devil’s Backbone: 163,253 (Mentally young teen)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
MBTI: INTP
Love Language: Quality Time
Handedness: Right dominant
Hometown: Inkblot City - Pixie World’s bustling capital city; contains the buildings seen in show canon

Wand Type: Platinum - Functions like a standard phone; has safety measures to protect Finley from accidentally drawing magic out of himself, but can be used by others in emergencies
Fagiggly Color: Lavender (Presumed)
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: N/A
Bio: Finley was first namedropped in the second chapter of Baby, You’re a Rich Man as a name H.P. had been tossing around for his next asexually reproduced offspring; this came up again in “Think Positive.” H.P. was expecting Finley during “Entire World” and held the sleepy baby pixie during “Terrible Timing.” He was officially introduced as a speaking character in “Evolution Hopeful,” where he appeared as Poof's, Foop's, and Sammy's roommate.
See also, Eclipse House Roommate Squad
Many Pixies begin internships at Pixies Inc. when they're around 50, but Finley was sent to Spellementary School instead (Later progressing to Alberich Middle and Carl Poofypants High).
After his birth, Finley spent the first three years of his life living with his Fairy foster family, the Hammerfalls. H.P. COULD reclaim his kids after they wean, but that would mean dealing with the Terrible Twos, so he waits until they're 3 and rips them from their families then.
Finley is Pixie 507, making him H.P.’s second-to-last surviving kid (508 being Southmark). He's a tomte: a fae who can't use magic- In his case, it's because H.P. "ran out" after having so many offspring. Finley can't channel magic or fly. His hat doesn't float and losing too much magic - such as through serious injury or intercourse - will cause death.
In Fae society, Finley is considered disabled. He can only channel magic one day per year: Gray Tuesday, when Pixies are given Fairy magic (because Finley isn't channeling his own internal magic and is drawing from an external power source).
- See also, Prompt 124 - "This Is a Box."
Finley is that kid who never seems to pay attention to anything and never studies, yet always pulls some of the highest scores of the class. He’s easily bored by social interaction and has low self-esteem due to the lack of attention and praise he gets from the Head Pixie. Not much interest in making friends. He’s a loner.
In addition to being a tomte, Finley is a gyne (as indicated by his freckles). When he’s in Pixie World and H.P.’s pheromones are in play, he’s subordinate. At school, he’s dominant over Poof.
Sometimes Finley and Poof dangerously flip-flop between who the dominant gyne in the area is, but Finley’s been staying on top so far. Mostly because Poof rarely gets upset, and when he does, he’s more likely to cry than fight. If ever they do get angry, you can be sure they’ll channel their feelings by playing video games. Which Finley always wins. Get with the times! Gyne-instinct fights to the death are so hundreds of thousands of years ago.
His video game obsession sprang out of a mention from the upcoming Prompt 126, "Look At That!" about one of the random items in Cavatina’s backpack being Finley’s DS. I took that and ran with it when Finley actually appeared.
As the dominant gyne on their floor at the dorms - and later half the high school campus - Finley tends to turn heads and attract the ladies with his pheromones. There's no steady girlfriend in his life (Not that that’s unusual for pixies). Maybe his princess is in another castle? Uh... sure. Let’s go with that!
He is very, very gay and very, very uninterested in committed relationships. That said, he has a vaguely "roommates with benefits" relationship with Foop's alternate personality - Hiccup - who likes to cuddle up to Finley and pepper his cheeks with kisses while Finley plays games. They don't really talk about it.
Despite Finley being a Seelie Courter (and thus closer in culture to Poof and Sammy), Foop and Hiccup are definitely his closest friends... Probably because they've been sharing a room for most of their lives.
Foop dropped out of Spellementary when the May Blossom War began ("You'll Never Know"), so Whistle Fernfire was assigned as Finley's replacement roommate... They did not get along. Whistle and Foop swapped places in high school when Foop returned to classes and bullied his new Anti-Fairy roommates. For some reason, Foop just tolerates Poof, Sammy, and Finley better. Now that's friendship.
Finley is one of the only pixies who can actually get away with calling the Head Pixie "Dad"... mostly because he says it in scorn instead of affection. H.P. doesn’t worry about him much and - for the most part - lets him do what he wants. Plenty of other pixies are happy working at Pixies Inc., so if Finley wants to go to school, that's fine... Just make something of yourself, kid.
Finley's studying digital game design. During school breaks, he helps Pixie World with deliveries and paperwork, but only if he has to.

SAMMY ÖLVIR SWEETSPARKLE
Occupation: Full-time student; rosewater station employee; struggles to hold a job for longer than a month
Birthday: January 6th (Observed)
Height: 3'5" (Average for a fae)
Age As of Devil’s Backbone: Don’t be silly! Sammy never gets old!
Alignment: Chaotic Good
MBTI: ENFP
Love Language: Acts of Service
Handedness: Right dominant
Hometown: Beastville - The city in Beast World that exists directly underneath Muckledunk.
Core: Yo-Yo
Core Color: Blue (Layer 1 Yellow; Layer 2 Purple)
Crown Lift: N/A (Huldufólk)
Wand Type: Kitnut - Custom (Sparklestick)
Fagiggly Color: Yellow
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Golden retriever- & sugar cookie-themed Beast
Bio: Whether he's working hard in school or cruising town dressed in leather jackets with his besties, one thing's for sure- Sammy's a sweet guy who's always looking out for others. He's kind, thoughtful, and generous with his time. Huh... What's he hiding?
Sammy is one of the Huldufólk, and in line with their culture, he's a changeling child: switched at birth to obtain the milk he needed to thrive. Through a comedy of errors, Sammy was switched with a Beast child instead of the human his parents thought they'd be getting. Sammy's grown up in Beastville ever since, passed from one generation to the next.
From what I've heard, no one in the Iivac kin group remembers whom he was switched with in the first place (or how long ago it happened). Does this kid ever get old?
One could blame his Beast upbringing for his half-smothered tendency towards violence, but that would probably only be half true (and politically incorrect).
Bunsen is in fact his foster brother; the two are quite close despite their separate species (and Sammy's move to boarding school). They both know what it's like to live in a community where you're one of the only representatives of your species people run into, especially when the stereotypes people carry about your kind aren't all that sweet.
Considering the back-and-forth life Sammy lives - one foot in multiple worlds and always feeling out of place - it's no surprise his core developed into a yo-yo. On one hand he's a very good student and kind friend to his classmates, always making an effort to sit by someone who looks a little lonely (Not to mention a big music lover).
And... that's as much as most people know about him. We mustn't discuss the changeling thing in good company- It's such a horrible and outdated practice. But, well, you know his culture...
Beneath that sweet and charming exterior lies an equally polite bad boy with a rebellious streak that can't be tamed. While Sammy's a great team player, he's not a pushover or afraid to stand up for himself... when he's not being bullied to tears by someone a lot bigger and stronger than him, of course.
Since he was raised in Beast World, Sammy's a little out of touch with Fairy social norms, but he learns fast. He grew up feeling overstimulated and finds Fairy World a bit unnerving. That's probably why he hangs out with Foop, whose wild energy isn't far off what he grew up around.
He's not had the best luck holding down a job... possibly because as one of the Hidden People, it's dangerous for him to serve others food. That said, he's managed to land a part-time job at a rosewater station, helping people refill their wands, and that seems to be working out. It leaves him plenty of time for studying, participating in orchestra (On the fiddle or harp, of course- He plays both), and hanging with friends.
Say one thing for Sammy- He can achieve a healthy work-life balance like no one you've ever met. His peppy attitude doesn't vanish easily and it takes a marathon effort to burn him out.
Foop's alternate personality - Hiccup - has a major crush on him. Hiccup spent much of Foop's childhood wrestling with indecision over whether it was appropriate for him to hang out with Sammy, as Hiccup sees himself as much older than Foop (See also, "Shadow").
It's unclear whether Foop himself feels the same attraction towards Sammy, but very possible... After all, who's more opposite a guy who likes good girls than a guy who's into bad boys?
... Has anyone seen Foop lately? It sure seems like Hiccup's been out front more and more since Sammy's adult wings came in...

BACKGROUND
Self-Perception: A fun, energetic rebel who was forced to stifle that part of herself... After all, someone had to buck up and be "the responsible one."
Indisputably loyal, very caring, and knowledgeable about her line of work. Had a rough childhood and wants nothing more than to live a happy adult life of following her own heart.
Alignment: Neutral Good
MBTI: ISFP
Deadly Sin: Pride/Wrath
Heavenly Virtue: Charity
Love Language: Physical touch
Reinforcers: Cosmo's flirtations, a happy bedroom life, feeling motherly, the achievement that comes from helping godkids (and her actual kids) succeed in life, the peace of relaxing after her monthly godparent reports are off her plate for a few weeks more
Personality: You might not guess it by looking at her, but at her core, Wanda is a rebel who isn't afraid to push against tradition. She eloped, cut ties with the religious beliefs she was raised with, and isn't afraid to rearrange the set-up of things or commit to large redecorating projects, even in homes that aren't her own... or even if that home is as widely known as Mt. Olympus ("Freaks and Greeks"). She'll slam down her foot and speak her mind- and that's just scratching the surface.
Wanda tends to brace herself for pushback (or worse), but underneath her defenses, she's plagued by guilt and shame that have a stronger affect on her life choices than she wants to think about. She'd like to do things right the first time and feel secure knowing that people like and trust her, but this is sometimes at odds with her desire for personal freedom.
Wanda tends to subscribe to the idea that if she's harsh with herself first, it won't hurt as much if someone else says a harsh thing. She has many regrets about her past. She could be described as "trying to play most sides" and keep the peace between people she has no reason to hold onto, like Juandissimo.
In the background, she's also doing what she can to put on a happy face and keep her family connected, even when that means being cordial with Mama Cosma. As the eldest daughter, she believes it's partly her duty to keep her family connected- She's the one who reaches out, asks how people are doing, and knows her relatives by name. If it doesn't clash with her godparent work, she tries to attend important events (like weddings) or at least send gifts for notable birthdays (like turning 100 instead of 99).
Wanda largely believes Blonda doesn't care about keeping their family together and that she's "just being difficult." They have very different views of how accepted they are by their family and how much they want to play into traditional Fairy expectations.
-> For instance, Blonda is exclusively attracted to Anti-Fairies and faces disapproval from her family because of this. She's less willing than Wanda to "make nice with the relatives." Blonda will openly bring someone she's seeing to family dinner, which Wanda is very tense about (believing it's better not to make a fuss).
-> See also, Wanda opting to elope and live her life - even writing misleading letters home to her father - rather than trying to bring Cosmo into the Fairywinkle social circle.
Wanda's rebellious soul still beats, but it's been twisted by the longing to connect and be seen as a good daughter (on top of feeling obligated to take on household and childcare responsibilities, especially in godparenting).
With that sensitive (and perhaps clingy) nature in mind, perhaps it's no surprise that Wanda struggles to let go of things she enjoys. She's always looking forward to her next opportunity to write, enjoy her favorite meal, or do a craft. She's a bit of an impulse buyer (See "Mice Capades") and tends to hold onto things even if they're only useful for very specific situations.
She's more reliant on magic than she'd like to let on (Ex: Taking for granted that Fairies can poof between rooms and remarking that "Doors are for chumps" in "Truth or Cosmoquences"). In fact, taking things for granted is one thing she struggles with- For instance, believing that she and Cosmo were both on the same page about their anniversary in "Apartnership" and acting tense with Cosmo under the belief he thought they were celebrating their 'False Anger' anniversary.
She gets very wrapped in her head at times and doesn't always check how practical she's being (especially when it comes to trying to disguise herself as a human, only to immediately announce that she's 'married to a grilled cheese sandwich'- "Fairly Old Parent").
She also leans on magic for frivolous things, such as entertaining herself with a toy while juggling many responsibilities (such as Poof's care) in "Manic Mom Day," or summoning a fan to wave away a smell in "Transparents" despite Timmy having just reminded her that she needs to pretend to be human (and not use magic). While she isn't a hoarder, she's definitely a maximalist, which can likely be traced to growing up under Big Daddy's hand.
Wanda was taught by her father to trust her instincts. She’s quick to make decisions and tends to launch herself towards things that benefit her without a lot of planning, leading her to dump Juandissimo, elope with Cosmo, wipe out the dinosaurs, and grant a few impulsive wishes because “They could be fun!” without always considering the consequences in advance (like surprising Juandissimo with a break-up when he thought things were going great between them, cutting her family out of her life for 10,000 years, or the effects of eating nothing but dessert for months on end).
All that said, her instincts are mostly good. Millennia of godparenting have tempered her recklessness to unsteady responsibility, especially when it comes to motherhood (and especially when it comes to being Timmy’s godmother).
At her core, Wanda is a playful woman who marches to the beat of “What is best for me?” Her life is her own and she wants to live her best one without being pushed or pulled around too much. Da Rules and Jorgen are her master because they have to be, but in the end, Wanda is an independent woman who seeks her own happiness regardless of what an outsider may think is best for her.
She’ll boldly plunge with you into every dangerous adventure, but will also make sure you packed a good pillow for the trip and brush your teeth every night. She brought snacks.
Education: For the most part, Wanda worked hard in school and scored top marks. She went through a few rebellious phases, but Big Daddy always set her straight, reminding her of all she had to look forward to... or else.
Spellementary School: Wanda attended alone while Blonda was homeschooled, keeping up the illusion that Wanda was an only child... The perfect cover for a little thief, as far as Big Daddy was concerned.
Middle School: Wanda and Blonda both attended, though Blonda was made to live in disguise as a drake by the name Walter (at her father's insistence). Rumors began to surface that Wanda and Walter might be twins.
High School: Blonda finally rebelled against the Walter disguise, took the name Blonda, and dove into hyperfemininity. Wanda did her best to hang out with and support her sister while balancing her own education. They were pretty close for many years.
-> Wanda began dating Juandissimo when she was in high school. Anti-Cosmo was in several of her classes (Frayed Knots) and was assigned as her partner for her first trial godkid. Shortly after, Wanda formally met Cosmo and began to grow more interested in him over time.
Further Education: Fairy Academy - Wanda's attendance was interrupted by the War of the Angels, but she was able to return and graduate when the war was over. Wanda and Cosmo were assigned together for their first human trial godkid (Erg - 50,000 B.C.) and grew more familiar with one another.

History: Wanda and her twin sister, Wendy, were born into a complex family with complex rules. Their father ran a strict household and has a very messy life behind the scenes. He took advantage of having twins by dragging young Wanda into shady dealings (and keeping Wendy’s true identity hidden unless Wanda needed an alibi).
Despite their complex family situation, the girls always knew they were loved; Daddy doted on them, heard out every adolescent vent, and helped them find activities they enjoyed.
He supported Wanda's decision to pursue life as a godparent despite his own reservations that crossing paths with that many people can be unpredictable (and even dangerous).
He hovered around her a bit during her early years of training, but eventually backed off, content in the belief that Wanda was capable and could take care of herself.
Wanda's mother, Serena Fairywinkle (née Wildwisp), was a quiet, patient fairy who taught her daughters good manners, a variety of domestic skills, and instilled in them traditional Fairy beliefs (though Wanda no longer follows them). It wasn’t until their teenage years that the twins discovered Serena wasn’t their birth mother at all, and they’d been born of an affair their father had with a will o’ the wisp during his honeymoon.
Serena seems to put up with this for the sake of the family, but she isn't one to wear her feelings on her sleeve. She's a tough nut to decipher.
As is typical of elder twins in Fairy society, Wanda was notably favored by her father over Wendy. He gave her everything, insisted she help him at work, and encouraged her to grow up as the girl he envisioned she would be. This was difficult on Wendy, the shadow in a society naturally suspicious of lookalikes. As a result Serena favored her to ensure she received plenty of attention too.
This was tough on Wanda, who felt she had no one to turn to as her father shaped her into his idea of a perfect woman whether or not she wanted his values for herself. Wanda and Wendy remained close throughout their youth, but their father’s blatant favoritism, Wendy’s longing for the spotlight, and Wanda’s struggle to relate with her dramatic sister finally drove them apart.
Wanda still loved and valued Wendy and even invited her to her wedding when she eloped, but their relationship remained rocky up until “Blondas Have More Fun,” when they finally began repairing it. Their relationship today is better than it’s been for a long time.
Wanda's been struggling for years with her chocolate addiction... a dangerous thing to have when you're a species that gets inebriated after consuming too much sugar ("Power Pals"). She's been lying low since her elopement, so seeking Sugarholics Anonymous groups is risky business. Cosmo is a great support to her, especially during the times they were very much on the run from their parents.
Wanda's boss (Emery) and Jorgen keep a close eye on her... She's definitely not supposed to indulge too much around godkids, and her probation in "Where's Wanda?" was rough for a reason.
Overall, Wanda's managed herself pretty well in modern times. She still slips now and then - holidays like the Fairy New Year and Midsummer's Eve are especially rough with the party atmosphere - but she's pretty happy with how things are, all things considered.

EXTERNAL
Verbal Notes: Many sentences begin with "Well," "Uh," or "You see." She's much more likely to say "Hi" than "Hello." Wanda tries to lightly prompt people towards making good decisions, but believes in giving others the chance to figure their social situations out for themselves before she jumps in.
Some of her common phrases are "If you must know" and "Personally, I wouldn't let that slide." She also uses "C'mon," and "Cheer up" quite a bit.
Comes across as serious and is sometimes criticized for nagging. She tends to say what she's thinking, although she may take a moment to dress it up in nicer words. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to communicate- Something that goes over all right in Fairy society, but leads Anti-Fairies to think she's incredibly rude.
Often calls godkids nicknames (Such as "sport" for Timmy and "squirt" for Hazel). Other favorites are "slugger," "scooter," "spike," "skipper," "scamp," "superstar," "turbo," "pumpkin," "peanut," "champ," "ace," "bucko," "buster," "tiger," "turkey," and "rascal."
She usually finds one that sticks for a person. They're mostly reserved for godkids, though she uses them for people in her social group on occasion. "Sweetie" is one many of her godkids hear and "Junior" is a special one for kids named after a relative.
After getting to know Anti-Cosmo in Frayed Knots, she starts calling him "scout."
More likely to swear than Cosmo, though she avoids doing so unless she’s extremely overwhelmed.
Language: Speaks both Snobbish and Lialia fluently (and Elrulian mostly fluently). Knows a bit of ceremonial Gaedeliac, but wouldn't be able to hold a conversation.
Physical Notes: Has thinner hips than Cosmo and some very notable stretch marks around her pouch (Nursing marks).
Handedness: Mostly ambidextrous; favors left hand
Body Language: Usually relaxed and ready to engage in learning and play, but with an underlying wariness about her. She often turns her wand sideways and curls in on herself when uncertain or trying to appeal to someone's better nature; she isn't quite as big and loud with her body as Cosmo is with his arms. Wanda commonly sets her hands on her hips or tucks them behind her back.
Hair: Naturally mousy brown; dyed fuchsia since she was young. I draw Wanda with a small "W" tuft.
Teeth: If you looked at them closely, you'd be able to tell hers are sharper than a human's and designed for eating meat.
Wings: Common fairy wings mirror the globe skimmer dragonfly, granting their subspecies the unique ability to fly backwards. In line with common fairy marital tradition, Wanda has three subtle commitment notches in his wings, mirroring the three punctures in each of Anti-Wanda's wings.
Make-Up Products: She dyes her hair Fabulous Fusciafest #7, and her favorite fragrance is called Wing It (See also, “77 Secrets of ‘The Fairly OddParents’”).
Scars: Small, random ones from a few injuries - especially during the war - but nothing incredibly interesting. Has a subtle bird mark on her neck that reflects a magical symbol Anti-Wanda has (from being the mortal host of the Sky spirit, Munn).
Tattoos: Small pink heart behind her left shoulder (Just above the place her wing connects). It mirrors a yellow one that Blonda has. They got these tats when they were teens. Wanda's considered removing hers a few times when she and Blonda fight, but she always ends up leaving it, unwilling to part with that memory of her sister.
Style: Neat, nice, but pretty simplistic. Likes going all-out to dress up for special occasions - like fancy dinners - but usually wears comfy clothes. Loves wearing yellow.
Regular Clothing: A yellow shirt and slacks. Sometimes the shirt is fancy and ruffled, other times its simple. Tries to avoid skirts on the job due to hovering above godchildren.
Casual Clothing: May throw on a comfier shirt or even a hoodie, usually in yellow, brown, or black.
Nightwear: Cozy pajamas, but sometimes a bathrobe.
Other: Likes bikinis and ruffled things for swimwear. Sometimes wears cover-ups and shawls too. Often wears gloves if an outfit allows it... Possibly a habit from her childhood thief days.
Height: 3′5″ (Average for a fae)
Hygiene: Very good- Wanda prides herself in research and can get pretty absorbed in reading up on skincare, teeth care, hair care, and so on. She takes care of her looks and health.
Morning Schedule: Usually sleeps a little later than Cosmo. Sometimes he makes breakfast - Usually bacon, if left to his own devices, or sometimes cereal - and looks after Poof. Wanda helps him once she gets up, then joins him in waiting for their godkid.
If their godkid is up early, Wanda will try to eat healthy snacks like fruit and granola throughout the day (and offer them to Cosmo too)
Typical Day Schedule: Accompany her godkid, trying to grant wishes, teach life lessons, and keep Cosmo out of trouble all in one.
Evening Schedule: Hang around godkid until curfew, then finish paperwork. Every month, godparents turn in reports on a child's happiness level, social experiences, wishes, and similar things.
Once she's done with paperwork, she can take a nice bath and then relax with Cosmo (Who's usually reading or coloring by then). They often snuggle, but usually sleep in separate beds.
Being members of the common fairy subspecies, Cosmo and Wanda come into heat for 18 months every 500 years. They're more flirty and sexual during that time, but more cuddly and less sexual when outside their heat.
-> See the Fairy Architecture post for info on the yidreamu- A special room in a Fairy house for mating, which is a big deal in Fairy culture (Given the long history of damsels dying afterwards)
Sleep Schedule: A bit of a light sleeper. Prefers wearing a blindfold to help her fall asleep early and stay asleep later; sometimes uses face masks for skincare.
Cosmo is a restless sleeper, so he and Wanda benefit from separate beds. Wanda can be a bit snippy when she's tired, not wanting him to crawl into bed when she needs her rest for another long day of wielding the forces of the universe and cleaning others' messes, but sometimes she'll let him crawl under the blankets with her.
PERSONAL
Wanda’s Family Tree: HERE
Relationship Status:
- Committed to Cosmo as of the Winter of the Muddy Topsoil
- Wedding Anniversary: The second Sunday of March each year
Ideal Relationship: Someone who can make her feel pampered and cared for after a long day of hard work... Someone who respects her need for personal space, but also likes to be around her.
Wanda doesn't enjoy doing mental gymnastics to "keep up" and doesn't like "keeping score." Her preference for being in control pairs well with Cosmo's desire for a partner who always has his back and can keep the world turning when he's in a slump.
Sexuality: Romantically and sexually attracted to Fairies... Might have a thing for youthful looks and muscles, but that's between her and us.
Attractiveness: Wanda is considered a well-rounded individual who meets high standards of attractiveness in both Fairy and Anti-Fairy societies. She appears to have the raw strength that Fairies value - and knows how to wield it.
Wanda's magic is actually stunted, but she uses a booster wand that covers for her natural weakness.
She's just book-smart enough to catch an Anti-Fairy's admiration without falling so much into the book-obsessed stereotype that it's a turn-off to most Fairies (who tend to value brawn over brains).
That said, Wanda is often perceived as more bookish than Blonda. Also, subtle differences in the way they wield magic play a role in Blonda seeming to be the "more attractive twin" in Fairy culture, despite the two having similar interests and magical prowess.
Intimate History: Dated Juandissimo for many millennia and cared for him deeply. Went as far as sharing a Year of Promise with him... a very big deal in Fairy culture.
Despite this essentially being an engagement period with a wedding expected shortly after, Wanda realized she couldn't deny her feelings for Cosmo any longer, and that she might actually be happier with him and the promise of adventure than in marrying the "safe option." Juandissimo didn't see it coming and Wanda does regret how long it took to split... which may be why she lets him hang around.
Wanda's parents always preferred Juandissimo, seeing him as a boy with a good head on his shoulders, but Wanda didn't let their approval stop her. She's been faithful to Cosmo ever since.
Turn-Ons: Wanda can be a little oblivious to flirting, but she does well when it's undeniably direct. She enjoys Cosmo's nicknames for her and a lot of his verbal flirting more than touch. She likes cuddles, but especially loves the build-up... like when Cosmo leans on her, whispers in her ear, or runs his fingers through her hair.
She also enjoys some of his drawn-out flirtation games (like leaving her cute notes) or when he pretends the way he brings her bath snacks or leads her towards their room is completely innocent. She can be won over by date nights full of dancing, emotional talks, and seductive whispers. The set-up really gets her smiling.
While Cosmo's known for his powerful magic, Wanda admires him with or without it... but it certainly doesn't hurt~
Father: Dusty Lloyd Fairywinkle Jr.
Grandfather: Dusty Fairywinkle Sr.
Grandmother: Ember Fairywinkle (née Jadewind) - AKA Nana Cadabra
Uncles: There are 10
Grandfather: Riot Wildwisp
Grandmother: Grace Wildwisp
- Appeared in Prompt #32 - "Looking Back" as the teacher for the kids one zodiac cycle older than Poof.
- Both Poof and Foop call her Nonna and consider her a grandmother (Despite Foop being a separate species). Foop doesn't have the Anti-Serena in his life.
Mother (Biological): Kylia Swiftspark
Grandfather: Unknown
Grandmother: Unknown
Aunt: Kaitlin Swiftspark
Cousin: Kanin Caden Swiftspark
Notable Ancestors: Ilisa Maddington (The first will o’ the wisp)
- Kylia was a one-night stand and is absent from the lives of the Fairywinkles. None have a relationship with her.
Twin Sister: Wendy "Blonda" Fairywinkle
Sibling-In-Law: Who even knows at this point?
"Nephew": Westley Periwinkle
Husband: Cosmo Julius Cosma
Met: When he ran her over with his car ("Cosmonopoly"). Met him in a more formal location when he worked as a waiter at a diner ("School's Out! The Musical")
Sons: Poof Cosma, Dusty Cosma
Brother-In-Law: Robin "Schnozmo" Cosma Jr.
- Cosmo and Wanda occasionally looked after Westley Periwinkle while he was growing up (Mostly when Blonda dumped him on them)
Ex-Boyfriend: Juandissimo Luis Magnifico
- Still on good terms. He gets invited to parties, but Wanda avoids meeting with him alone.
- Has a not-so-secret crush on him even now ("77 Secrets of the Fairly OddParents (Revealed)")
Celebrity Crushes: No one she'll admit to
Current Love Interest: Cosmo (Her dear devoted)
Other Important Relationships:
Anti-Wanda - Rarely cross paths. Wanda has a lot of deep-seeded jealousy about the "freedom to live life without parental expectations" that she perceives Anti-Wanda as having. She overlooks a lot of Anti-Wanda's hardships (like being abandoned as a kid) and is easily frustrated when talking to her. Anti-Wanda has a way of getting under her skin. Wanda gets annoyed if you compare her country singing voice to her counterpart's.
Anti-Cosmo - Thinks he's a braggart with few morals; not his biggest fan. Wanda was assigned as Anti-Cosmo's partner during their early godparent days, as they both were in the study abroad trial program at the same time. They got through it okay, but not without tension. She also wasn't happy with him dating Blonda (and certainly doesn't like the ways he's messed with Cosmo's life since then).
Foop & Smoky - Wanda severely mistrusts and dislikes Foop, feeling that she's given him several chances and he needs to shape up. Smoky's smart mouth gets on her nerves. She has zero qualms about feeding them treats that put curses on them ("Fairly Odd Fairy Tales"). However, she sees them as nephews and allows them to call her Auntie Wanda.
In her mind, they're part of her extended family and she can't get rid of them, so she tolerates them as best she can. She's babysat a few times, but never enjoys it (and can be quite harsh in disciplining them, which is honestly justified). She likes Smoky's piano playing and taught him the basics of guitar. She puts up with Foop's tinkering, but tries to nerf his inventions.
Jorgen - A high-up she has to respect. Wanda doesn't like how rough he can be (or how he's treated Cosmo in the past), but deep down, he doesn't scare her. Jorgen's pushy and needy, but he'd never really hurt Big Daddy's daughter, and they both know it.
Emery - Head of the human godparenting division. Wanda suspects Emery has a grudge against her specifically (seeing as Emery is H.P.'s sister and the Fairywinkles have never gotten along well with their family). Wanda is very dutiful in completing her paperwork, determined to do everything on her end perfectly so Emery has no choice but to grudgingly admit she's good at her job. Take that!
-> In City Lights AU, Wanda suspects Emery assigned Peri a difficult first godkid on purpose just to see him fail.
Timmy - Her long-term godkid! Wanda does think Timmy can be spoiled from time to time, but she knows he has a heart of gold and that his mind is usually in the right place. She's proud of who he turned out to be.
Chloe - Wanda did her best to be a caring mother figure to Chloe, trying to treat her as a job without getting as caught up in her as she got with Timmy during the 50 years of frozen time. Chloe is a lot of energy and Wanda kept a bit more distance than Cosmo (Ex: "The Fair Bears"). Cosmo connected with Chloe more than Wanda did, despite her genuine efforts. Funnily enough, she and Poof are similar that way.
Crŏ̸̧̝̓̓̉͝͝ckę̶̜̯̊͌̀̀͛̓r - ... It's difficult. It's a shame things turned out the way they did. She doesn't remember him clearly, what with her memories scrambled by forget-a-cin, but she remembers enough to feel regret.
According to Crocker in "Looking Back," Wanda avoids eye contact even when she's a decorative item on Timmy's desk or bag... I feel like there's a missing piece to this story, but I can't put my finger on it.
TRIVIA
- Fought the Anti-Fairies in the war over godkids ("Balance of Flour").
- Her seasonal color palette is winter ("Apartnership").
- She's the reason dinosaurs went extinct ("The Really Bad Day!")
- Raised in a wealthy family, so she didn't worry about poofing from room to room (compared to someone like Cosmo who grew up using doors and public transportation to save money).
- Her phone (wand?) number is 555-8180 ("Dog Day Afternoon").
- Has two Zappy awards ("The Zappys" & "Blondas Have More Fun")
- Didn't really keep in contact with people from her high school graduating class after leaving school (Seeing as Cosmo convinced their class he and Wanda weren't married in "Truth or Cosmoquences").
- Absolutely terrible driver ("Transparents"). She and Cosmo rarely drive these days, but he's always the one who does. She doesn't even have a driver's license (despite Poof getting one as soon as he was able to).
- Despite eloping, she faithfully wrote letters home to her dad - occasionally visiting without Cosmo in tow - but often embellishes her life ("Talkin' Trash").
- Considers herself familiar with human culture and thinks she's excellent at blending in with humans. She is not.
- Loves pins. Her schoolbag (Seen occasionally in Frayed Knots) is covered in pins, especially ones for Fairy World landmarks.
- Went through a rebellious semi-goth, semi-punk teen phase. Learned to embroider and added many patches to her favorite jackets.
- She and Cosmo both like warm vacations, but Wanda has a soft spot for snow too. It's a little too cold and wet for Cosmo long-term, but he has a good attitude around godkids. She likes building forts and castles.
- She's trained in self-defense (Physically too, not just magically - "Playdate of Doom"). Big Daddy wasn't about to let his daughters leave home without protecting themselves.
- Skilled with a bow and arrow ("Odd, Odd West").
- Thinks she's attractive with a beard ("The Fair Bears").
- Not a big fan of camping ("Girly Scouts" & "Goldie-Crocks and the Three Bears").
- Will sometimes follow Cosmo's suggestions without even questioning them ("Girly Scouts" and "Patty Possum's Party Playground").
- Wanda nursed both Poof and Dusty (both milk from her breasts and liquid magic from her pouch). Cosmo also pouchfed his magic on occasion, but Wanda often volunteered so he could recover after giving birth and so she could bond with her little sons. She was often exhausted, but grateful for the opportunity.
- She's a very talented speller ("77 Secrets of the Fairly OddParents (Revealed)").
- Skilled wandminton player ("77 Secrets").
- She can play the guitar and banjo ("77 Secrets").
- She's a country singer and has recorded an album called Big Daddy's Daughter. One of her songs is "Mommas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies" ("77 Secrets").
- In Cloudlands AU lore, Poof has the same patron dragonfly as Wanda (Not Cosmo). Considering he also has Fairywinkle pheromones, there's no denying those genes are strong.
- Though Timmy and Chloe lost their memories, she and Cosmo check up on them the one day each year they're allowed to: every Midsummer's Eve (June 23rd, give or take). They keep tabs on a couple other godkids too, but Timmy isn't easy to forget.

AO3 Tag - #Wanda Fairywinkle Cosma
Wanda's arc in the 130 Prompts can be found in the Pink Train series on AO3. Beyond that, she appears in several multi-chapters such as Frayed Knots and Devil's Backbone, along with shorter stories like "See That Dust Fly" and "Bells on Bats' Tails."
Wanda makes most of her Frayed Knots appearances in Act 3, where she's seen dating Juandissimo throughout her teens. She does a trial godparent run alongside Anti-Cosmo and cameos during the war with the Anti-Fairies. She's also a notable character in Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies, supporting Poof as best she can.
Sweetsparkle + Iivac family tree (via GenoPro); click to enlarge
- Bunsen and Sammy have a very similar line of dialogue in their respective shows ("That bee/fishy gave me a kiss that hurt" - "Spelling Beast" and "Certifiable Super Sitter"). I needed a changeling family for Sammy anyway, so Bunsen's was the logical choice.
- Sammy is one of the Huldufólk- the only Fairy subculture to still practice changeling child traditions in modern times (as they do not produce milk, but their babies require it).
- Sammy is a changeling switched with a member of the Iivac kin group, who claim they "can't remember" whose kid got switched in return.
- Sammy's grown up around the Iivacs and lived in Beast World before their move to Muckledunk in 2004. His "sibling" relationships change depending on who the youngest family members are at the time, as he ages at a different rate.
- Once he enters boarding school, Sammy begins the transition to live with his biological parents, though he still visits Muckledunk for some holidays.
- Sammy can fly, but often doesn't due to living underground in a family that doesn't fly. He got used to walking.
- Iivac is a play on Caviidae, the family guinea pigs fall under. The other Beast name categories follow similar rules for different animals, such as octopus, bat, bear, and kangaroo.
- In City Lights AU, Sammy's aging is closer to that of his foster family, so he stays with them much longer (and is more familiar with Mikey and other humans in that AU than in Cloudlands).

Alignment: Neutral Good
MBTI: INFJ
Deadly Sin: Gluttony and Wrath
Heavenly Virtue: Forgiveness
Love Language: Acts of service
Reinforcers: Hyggekrog evenings, praise, attention from Wanda, his mother's love, his sons telling him he's a good dad
Personality: Cosmo has a very creative mind and always wants to find the upside to every situation... He isn't always in the mood to try, but he loves fun and loves when others have fun along with him.
As a kid, Cosmo had an open mind, a big imagination, and a lot of love to give. He adored his older brother even though Schnozmo found him a little tiresome and annoying. Nonetheless, the brothers got along in their early years.
Cosmo was a clingy mama's boy turned clingy husband- He loves Wanda and isn't afraid to say so. He loves Wanda and doesn't feel even a little guilty that she dumped Juandissimo for him, leaving her long-time ex-boyfriend - Technically her fiancé at the time - confused and brokenhearted. He loves Wanda and didn't care what that might do to Anti-Cosmo or Anti-Wanda... He loves Wanda. Everyone else just has to deal with it.
Cosmo is a caring father who tries to focus on emotional care, not just physical security. He takes time to speak to his godkids and his sons, asking how they're doing and trying to set them up for healthy solutions and social success. He's a little overconfident at times, offering help for things he doesn't know the answers to. He enjoys feeling helpful and takes great pride in fatherhood and caretaking- He loves his kids very much.
As a godparent, Cosmo tries to keep kids engaged and show them that every day can be fun if you make time to play and goof around. This can certainly get out of hand - See also, the Not Study Game - but Cosmo wants nothing more than to make people laugh...
... If only he felt like he understood the difference between joking around and crossing a line.
Education: Mostly homeschooled during Spellementary and middle school, except for when he wasn't. He participated in a few on-campus activities, including school plays, but mostly kept near Mama Cosma.
High School: Attended Carl Poofypants High for his last 10 years; homeschooled prior that
Further Education: Fairy Academy - Godparenting
Favorite Magic Subject: Intro to Gravity Manipulation
Least Favorite Magic Subject: Special Cases of Da Rules
Favorite Non-Magic Subject: Applications of Quantum Mechanics
Least Favorite Non-Magic Subject: Physical Education - It may seem like physics, but it isn't as fun as it sounds
History: Cosmo entered the Cosma family at a difficult time. His father’s addiction to gambling and unfortunate early death left them deep in debt to Big Daddy Fairywinkle, his restless brother Robin was starting to get into trouble, and his mother fought every day to hold them together as a happy family.
Cosmo was born with a mutation that left his magic unstable, and actually leaves him unable to channel magic at all if he doesn’t regularly drink the hormones present in Fairy nursing milk. He keeps a baby bottle-shaped thermos on hand at almost all times just in case he needs a recharge. Though not the first to show the mutation, he quickly became the most recognized when he caused chaos and destruction throughout Fairy World as a child.
Cosmo has been in and out of trouble with the Fairy Council his entire life. After accidentally killing hundreds during his Terrible Twos and prompting the No Fairy Babies mandate, he was just as infamous as a child in Fairy World as Poof is adored. Which means the Fairy Council had (and still has) very few qualms about using him as a pawn when Anti-Cosmo arrived on their doorstep to beg the mandate be lifted so he may father an heir. But, that was a long time ago, and he’d rather you didn’t make him revisit those memories...
Growing up, Cosmo liked to play outside, but was always under his mother's eye. Even so, he learned to skateboard, played with neighborhood kids, and did okay in school. He begged to get a job and saved his own money to get a car, which he named Darla (and whom he cares deeply about).
Prompt #70 - "Repeat" - opens with teen Poof begging to drive Darla to sports practice and Cosmo hesitant to let him go.
Cosmo was an avid reader in his younger years before Fairy World’s (and his mother’s) extreme preference for brawn over brains made him feel stupider and stupider until finally he gave the hobby up... as far as you know. His lack of physical strength got him bullied frequently as a child, so his mother pushed him to train at the Fairy Academy.
He’s never been the brightest, but because he’s always been fascinated with stars, politics, and energy sources, he can tell you a lot about all three (in his meandering Cosmo-ish way).
He met Wanda during their adolescence, sold Darla to pay for her medical bills after accidentally running her over, and has been smitten with his sweet little wildflower ever since. And as luck would have it, Darla ended up in his hands once again.
Of course, even Cosmo has his secrets. Though extremely self-conscious any time he’s caught reading (even by Wanda), he still spends his free time writing. He’s published multiple books about complicated aspects of the magical world (such as gravity manipulation, fairy biology, and the Big Wand) translated into layman’s terms, in addition to several children’s books. Picture books for kids are his personal favorite.
He’s dabbled in political criticism and has played a more influential role in that field than he wants to believe. Since hints of his political alignments are sprinkled across his works, many are shunned from schools. His picture book How the Honeybees Say Goodnight is completely banned almost everywhere in Fairy World, while Pixies and Anti-Fairies adore it.
Cosmo sees his books as innocent and finds Fairies’ reactions very confusing (they only contribute to the negative way he sees himself and his mind). He struggles with more self-deprecating thoughts than he likes to let on.
All good things must come to an end, especially when Cosmo is involved. When revolts broke out in Fairy World (after the War of the Angels) and stuck-up, eggheaded, pro-Anti-Fairy know-it-alls were under fire, Cosmo panicked. He immediately destroyed most of his writing and changed his focus in school from Astrophysics to Godparenting.
He’s been cowering on the outskirts of Fairy World in self-inflicted exile ever since, lying low in Wanda’s shadow and maybe, maybe playing a little dumber than he really is. Just a little, of course. I wouldn’t suggest asking him about those books… or too much else about his past. Who are Westley and Nixie? ... No one you need to know, I'm sure.
See also, Prompt #121 - "Told You So" and #70 - "Repeat"
While his past was wrought with fear, self-loathing, and bouts of depression, Cosmo is actually doing well for himself nowadays, for the most part. Always an introvert, he loves to study and write about the stars and spend time with his wife. He actually knows a lot about politics, electricity, outer space, and the ins and outs of wands and magic. Most godkids just don’t ask.

EXTERNAL
Verbal Notes: Long, run-on sentences. Cheerful in public but passive-aggressively savage to people he doesn’t like. Often obsessed with being “the fun one” since that’s what seems to win him love. Not one to swear, or to sit quietly while others swear with in his earshot.
Language: Speaks Snobbish fluently; knows some Lialia as well as a few words of Elrulian.
Physical Notes: His stomach acid can dissolve metal and his saliva can disable magic locks. His nose is disguised with magic; he actually has a long nose like his brother ("The Boy Who Would Be Queen").
Cosmo has wider hips than Wanda does. Post "Fairly Odd Baby," he has noticeable stretch marks around his pouch and abdomen.
Handedness: Right dominant
Body Language: Has an aura of being both a supervisor and ready to play, more like a daycare employee than a full-time parent. Lots of widespread arms or hands propped on hips. Hands-on-hips is his go-to, though he sometimes crosses his arms when frustrated.
Hair: Natural green, usually in two large scruffs. It was a single scruff in his youth and slowly morphs to three as he ages.
As with Anti-Cosmo, I draw Cosmo with a 'C' tuft in the back of his hair. However, Anti-Cosmo's usually remains in the C direction while Cosmo's follows the position of his head.
Teeth: If you looked at them closely, you'd be able to tell his are sharper than a human's and designed for eating meat. His are tough enough to resist his acidic saliva
Wings: Common fairy wings mirror the globe skimmer dragonfly, granting their subspecies the unique ability to fly backwards. In line with common fairy marital tradition, Cosmo has three subtle commitment notches in his wings, mirroring the three punctures in each of Anti-Cosmo's wings.
Make-Up Products: Pancake face and blush ("Nega-Timmy").
Scars: Small, random ones from a few injuries, especially during the war. Has a subtle turtle mark on his neck that reflects a magical symbol Anti-Cosmo has (from being the mortal host of the Water spirit, Sunnie). For the same reason, you can faintly see the mark of the Water year branded into the underside of his left wrist.
Cosmo has a very blatant star-shaped scar over his midsection from his fagiggly gland transplant ("The Gland Plan").
Tattoos: Several colorful stars on his right hip, representing his kids.
Style: Dresses nice, blending his own desire to "do something right" and Mama Cosma's desire to see her boy looking nice. Cosmo could poof his buttons up with magic, but he likes the effort of getting out of bed and doing it by hand. When he's done, he's ready to eat food, which keeps him from lying in bed too long.
Overall, he leans towards cleanliness and things that take a little thought to put on, like dresses with corsets and ties. It's nice to feel accomplished and enjoy showing off! Tries to avoid skirts on the job due to hovering above godchildren.
Regular Clothing: White button-up shirts, black slacks, black tie
Casual Clothing: Checkered button-up shirts, tank tops, or hoodies- Rarely T-shirts
Nightwear: Striped top-and-bottoms with button-up shirts and a matching nightcap
Other: Favors trunks for swimwear. Likes socks. Has his name written on most of his underwear (which he only sometimes wears - "Double-Oh Schnozmo").
Height: 3′6″ (Average for a fae)
Hygiene: Pretty good; Cosmo keeps his face clean for easy make-up application and does a decent job washing up. He keeps his teeth clean, not wanting to disappoint the Tooth Fairy.
Morning Schedule: Wake up before godkids if possible (For breakfast), but breakfast can be eaten throughout the day as needed. Be attentive- Ready to play and make suggestions!
Cosmo is usually awake earlier in the morning and later in the evening than Wanda, so she likes her blindfold. Cosmo often gets Poof and Dusty ready for the day (Or did when they lived at home).
Typical Day Schedule: Hang out with his godkid and try to make every day a unique, fun adventure!
On occasion, Cosmo visits his mama, but he tries to do so early in the day (Sometimes while godkids are at school). Mama Cosma blatantly tries to keep him late to throw off his intimate time with Wanda, which Cosmo is oblivious to.
Evening Schedule: Hang around godkid until curfew, then start to unwind. He and Wanda usually eat dinner when their godkids are still awake, but a late meal is sometimes necessary.
Wanda often gets some godparenting paperwork done while Cosmo relaxes with his books or coloring stuff (Plus a candle, cozy pajamas, and a hot chocolate).
Sleep Schedule: Light, restless sleeper, but usually sleeps pretty well despite that. Moves around and kicks a lot, so he and Wanda benefit from separate beds.
PERSONAL
Cosmo’s Family Tree: HERE
Relationship Status:
- Committed to Wanda as of the Winter of the Muddy Topsoil
- Wedding Anniversary: The second Sunday of March each year
Ideal Relationship: Cosmo has a lot of self-doubt (and self-hatred) and wants someone in life who can support him without completely babying him (which pairs well with Wanda's love for taking charge). He enjoys Wanda as a steady, comforting presence in his life very much.
Sexuality: Romantically and sexually attracted to Fairies, especially those who play into overly feminine stereotypes for Fairy culture.
Attractiveness: Has extreme magical strength, which is very attractive in Fairy culture... and may play into why he was picked on throughout high school. Generally, Fairies see Cosmo as attractive, but "without the good sense to know how to use it."
He was very shunned by Fairies for writing books that went against traditional Fairy beliefs (such as proclaiming that stars are balls of gas rather than Fairies with wands) or for publishing political commentaries and pro-Anti-Fairy children's literature. The attractiveness definitely took a hit from that.
His disorganized set-up and frequent struggles with paperwork don't reflect well on him in Pixie culture. In Anti-Fairy culture, Cosmo's writing may attract attention, but his struggle to hold a stimulating conversation can cause interest to wane.
In general, Cosmo holds an air of mystery, distinction, and a sense of falling from grace. Some speculate a curse was put on him to take away his success (and brains). Others believe he fell from grace in the public eye, but his personality never changed. Still others believe the pressures of being turned on by society completely broke him, causing him to snap and change his life course.
Intimate History: Wanda is the only person he ever dated. Considers his first sexual experience to be with her, not long after the War of the Angels ended.
... Wait. Is that right?
According to rumor, he once had a fling with [REDACTED], but don’t try talking to him about it... You probably won't get answers and will send him into a mental breakdown.
- See also, the "Sentry" arc, the Frayed Knots chapter "The Delicate Art of Fudging Truth," and/or Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies
- First one has the mildest rating. Proceed with caution on the others.
Turn-Ons: Nice candles, cuddles, and playful teasing... Plenty of time for slow kisses and running his fingers in Wanda's hair. He tries not to pull it down since he really likes the way Wanda wears it up.
Cosmo and Wanda have a special game they play when they're in animal disguises, in which they really get into the roleplay and refer to one another by special animal terms. Timmy jumps any time he hears Cosmo refer to Wanda by the name for female dog.
During Cosmo's two pregnancies, they also flirted by bringing in words for baby animals like "Puppy," "Kitten," and silly ones they made up for inanimate objects. They flirt sometimes in animal form, and sometimes they don't flirt so much as groom each other and snuggle up.
Cosmo enjoys living every day of his life with Wanda and wouldn't do well in a long-distance relationship... That's for sure.

Other Important Relationships:
Juandissimo - Cosmo terrifies the man... They both know where they stand with each other, and Juandissimo keeps a mostly respectful distance away. Despite their mutual interest in Wanda, Cosmo doesn't mind Juandissimo as a person and considers him a peripheral friend; he even allowed him at his baby shower.
Anti-Cosmo - Needy, greedy, and always in the way. They're on very bad terms. Let's not talk about it anymore.
Anti-Wanda - Cosmo doesn't mind her presence, though there's no question Wanda Prime is a better match for him romantically. They don't frequently cross paths, but seem to be on significantly better terms than he is with Anti-Cosmo.
Foop & Smoky - Cosmo holds no clear ill will towards his counterpart's children. He considers them his nephews and lets them call him uncle, even tolerating Foop's use of "Uncle Idiot." He's babysat the boys a few times and does a surprisingly good job at mitigating their damage... I guess Mama Cosma rubbed off on him!
Jorgen - The focal point of many tough things in Cosmo's life, but they're distant cousins... And Jorgen's only rough because he cares. Right?
Emery - Head of the human godparenting division; Cosmo's boss. He gets along with her well enough, seemingly oblivious to Emery's blatant favoritism of him over Wanda (given that Emery is H.P.'s sister and their family has never gotten along well with the Fairywinkles).
Cupid - Not an easy guy to get along with, but his heart is usually in the right place. Cosmo admires him, but isn't his biggest fan. "Instantly exhausted by each other, but trying to push through the conversation politely anyway" is probably the best description of their relationship.
Timmy - Cosmo's long-term godkid who's both a hard worker and a lover of fun! They get along great.
Chloe - Cosmo admires her for being herself and indulging in "childish interests" like little kid shows and toys. He connects with her really well and often talks her through her feelings, especially when her anxiety kicks up.
Crŏ̸̧̝̓̓̉͝͝ckę̶̜̯̊͌̀̀͛̓r - ... Confusing. The one that got away.....
Sanderson - While they aren't close, Cosmo crossed paths with Sanderson a few times throughout his high school visits to Pixie World's laundromat. They vaguely know each other, though Sanderson's more familiar with Anti-Cosmo.
W̸̢̮̖̹̫͉̱̄̽̕ę̶̜̯̊͌̀̀͛̓s̸̛̠̺̼̬̘͊̓͌͌̔̿̕͝͝t̴̢̻̹̰͍̫̫͕̄̿ͅl̷̨̩̘͍̩͑̀̆̈́̿ẻ̶̹̲͙̬̻̋̈́͒͗̿̋̚ÿ̴̧̛̰́̄͗̀ - They're not close, but Cosmo's always hoping for his success. He and Wanda looked after Westley a couple times in his youth.
S̸̗͓͑̔̓̾̑̈ḁ̴̢̦͋͗̐̈f̸̧̧̙̝̠̥̻̯̏̾͑͊f̶̢̫̈́̒̈́͝r̴̯̠̞͈̆͜ŏ̸̧̝̓̓̉͝͝n̸͉͓͓͇͇͚̒̈́̐ - ... I don't remember much...... Didn't Cosmo try to take custody of her kid or something?
N̶̖͚͎̰͖̙̏͒͘i̷̮͛̌ͅx̶̱̥̑̈́͒̅͐̚͜ḭ̴͚̓̾̊̀͛̔͋e̷͔̦̿- ... Maybe we don't talk about that one.
TRIVIA
- Cosmo’s middle name was revealed to be Julius in the printed comic “Baby Factory” (March 2007) and confirmed again in “77 Secrets of ‘The Fairly OddParents’ (Revealed)”
- Fought the Anti-Fairies in the war over godkids ("Balance of Flour").
- Can’t use magic if he hasn’t been drinking his milk.
- His signature was designed to look like it starts with K, as Cosmo often thinks his name does.
- I color his skin a little darker than Wanda's; it comes from his dad's side of the family.
- Has a Zappy award ("The Zappys").
- He’s allergic to potato skins (“Dust Busters”), peaches (“A Sash and a Rash”), and peanuts (“Squirrely Puffs”), but not cashews (“Clark Laser”).
- Preferred non-magical weapon is a slingshot ("Love Struck"). Coincidentally, this is also Anti-Cosmo's and Foop's weapon of choice ("Fairly Odd Baby" & "When L.O.S.E.R.S. Attack")
- He can also use a sword (and use his wand as a sword; "Best of Luck").
- He's a talented kazoo player ("77 Secrets of 'The Fairly OddParents' (Revealed)").
- His go-to password is Philip ("77 Secrets").
- According to "77 Secrets," his and Wanda's address while living with Timmy was 123 Fishbowl Lane, Timmy's Room, USA.
-> Given Hazel's apartment number being 3 ("Fly"), he and Wanda likely live in apartment 2 or 4 (in City Lights AU).
- The list of books he's authored includes Astrophysics For Morons, Shiny Crowny Things For Morons, Conversations with Butch, and "Little Wands For Little People" ("77 Secrets").
- Extremely fascinated by fish; he finds that he gets really, really excited around them, completely unaware that this “excitement” is actually his dragonfly DNA having a heart attack.
- Likes elephants, even having an elephant-shaped bed when he was growing up ("Fairly Odd Baby"). Anti-Cosmo hates them.
- Leaves one of his childhood toys with every godkid (Rehoming all the stuff Mama Cosma spoiled him with).
- Likes reading his late dad's poetry books.
- Not great with painting his nails, so Wanda often does that for him.
- A decent cook, but excels in mixology. He can make the best hot chocolate you've ever had.
- Suspiciously good at picking locks.
- Constantly fighting postpartum depression.
- Wanda did most of Poof's and Dusty's nursing, but Cosmo loved bottle-feeding his sons. On rare occasion, they nursed on liquid magic from his stomach pouch (though Wanda has a pouch for that too and was usually the one to do so, leaving Cosmo to rest after giving birth).
- Though Timmy and Chloe lost their memories, he and Wanda check up on them the one day each year they're allowed to: every Midsummer's Eve (June 23rd, give or take). They keep tabs on a couple other godkids too, but Timmy isn't easy to forget.
- His love life is forever managed by politics, but we don’t have to talk about that.
